I'm unsure if my Top Golf standards are just too high from other locations around the country. But, this was absolutely the worst experience I had ever had. It was a Friday night and we had a reservation. Their fans, did almost nothing and we had to share the one fan we had with the bay next to ours. Whereas other locations had literal AC and fans blowing so at least when you're sitting you're not miserable. Our "hostess" seemed sooooo bothered to even have to look at us much less help with anything. Every time she walked towards us it was such an inconvenience to her whole life. The only positive was the s'mores skillet was actually really delicious. That's literally all the stars are for here. But, if I'm going to be miserable outside having to share a fan with a whole other party at least have some "hosts" who have even an inkling of good customer service. read more

TopGolf is always fun with fun people or even alone. There's a standard American menu but the food doesn't taste bland or not cared for. I actually go just to each their burgers and sandwiches sometimes. I enjoy the atmosphere of watching the games, playing golf, being closely located to home while feeling touristy. My husband and I watched the NCAAA Championship and enjoyed the chicken caesar wrap and their classic burger. Both very good. Fried and tots were crispy and hot! For drink I ordered the coconut watermelon cocktail which is a tequila based cocktail. I loved those flavors together. I do want the company to note that the bartenders need customer service training! I hear things that a customer shouldn't hear and sometimes their service is horrendous! Overall, a mixed experience. I arrived at 12:00 and wasn't able to golf until 1:00. We were initially told the wait for a bay would be about an hour and a half, but when I mentioned we were fine with a bottom floor, it suddenly dropped to around 30 minutes--which was confusing and a bit frustrating. I also expected to pay the before-2:00 PM rate of $20/hour, but that wasn't the case and wasn't clearly communicated. The highlight of our visit was Myla, our bay host. She mentioned she doesn't usually work Saturdays, but she was fantastic--super attentive, friendly, and great at making small talk. She really made the experience much better. The boneless buffalo chicken wings were fantastic. The drink prices were a little high having mix drinks around $13. Good vibes and fun patio too! I arrived around 8:30pm on a Monday with my sons while visiting the area. We got to the bay and set up around 8:35pm. The Waitress, Riah, came and took drink order. We got waters and the pretzel bites as an app. The pretzel bites came at 8:43pm. I ordered hot coco a couple minutes later. They were PIPPING hot when we got them. We ordered food at 8:56pm. Order was: the kids cheeseburger and fries and the fried chicken heat which for my kids. I got a strawberry top golf margarita to drink, which came at 9pm. It was tasty. The food came at 9:13pm. My teen son said his chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all and the sauce was very minimal. He also stated that his hot coco wasn't stirred or mixed correctly, which gave it a watery taste. This was true as I could see the buildup at the bottom on the cup. (The hot coco was $4.29 each). My other son enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries with no complaints. The game play was fun! I love this Topgolf location! My group has booked two bays together and we always have a great time making memories. Even non-golfers can enjoy the outing -- you can just relax with friends, enjoy the view, and have some great food and drinks. Our group usually includes everyone from kids to seniors, and we all have fun every time we come. I've been here in both nice weather and cold, dreary conditions -- the heaters in the bays work perfectly and keep everyone comfortable. I love Topgolf, it's always a good time. Went with my husband on Sunday. We did the hour and a half and played about 5 different games. I reserved a bay the day before, so when we arrived there was a bay ready and waiting for us. It was a humid and hot day so the place was not overly packed but we had some people around us. The music was at a good level. The only issue we had was with the wait staff. I waited about half an hour and then decided to go up to the bar and get drinks myself. It was only after that that a server came up to us. Since I had already gotten drinks, we did not get anything even though I had considered an appetizer. Bill came about 10-15 mins prior to us being done. I had a gift card but because she didn't come back, we ended up paying online. This was my first time at this location for Topgolf. It was a nice summer night, so we didn't have to deal with any rain or coldness. We did, however, have a giant fan blowing on us that wasn't so obvious until the food came because the fan began to blow some of the chips away. Nonetheless, the staff who was attending to us helped with the fan by turning it down. We ordered some drinks, the hummus w/ veggies, and guacamole w/ chips. There were two of us, and we couldn't completely finish everything. With that being said, the portion sizes (for what we ordered) are pretty decent. The drinks were good as well. This was my first time at a top golf and I'm glad I picked this location as it was closer to me. Came here around 5:30pm on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded which was a plus. When we walked in we were greeted and let them know it was our first time coming. The young lady at the front desk explained to us all the details. Our waiter Christian was a really nice guy and explained everything in detail when we finally got to the bay. We had a coupon for 30 minutes free gameplay and it came in handy at the end of checkout. The process of getting everything set up can take a few minutes depending on how many people are in your party. So glad this place has heaters! It kept us warm. Just went here this weekend and had a bunch of fun with the family. Let's talk about golf! From a golfers perspective, this isn't the place you go to practice lol. I think, or at least hope, everyone already gathered this. As far as fun goes, I have a good time. I'm not blown away but it's fun. They have plenty of games to play, and digital courses you can play if you feel up to it. There are now kid friendly games like "Sonic" "Angry Birds", and "Captain America". These games are fun but the captain america and sonic game TAKE FOREVER to play. Felt like we stood around more than we played. The Angry Birds game was decent paced the kids absolute loved it. As I said, there is a decent lineup of games, but I felt like there could have been more creative ones for adults too. All in all it was a really good time. As far as service goes, the workers were amazing. They came around to check on us often but weren't "in the way". They were very polite and easy to work with. It was an enjoyable experience. The prices of food are a bit steep, but the food was pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but I didn't have any complaints either. They had some injectable churro ball things (I didn't order them) that I was able to try and booooooooooy were they delicious! The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and you can take your own clubs in if you want. There are debates between golfers on whether it's "lame" or not to take your clubs in. I DO NOT CARE. If I'm paying that much to hit balls, you better believe I'll be using the expensive clubs I forked out for. I'm there to have fun, but it's also practice. That's just me. To each their own. My guy is an avid golfer so I surprised him with a birthday outing. Side note: I know nothing about golf. I was afraid with him being an expert that he would find it boring. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't super packed but it was perfect. There are tons of drinks options and in my opinion pretty affordable. Came on Friday night at around 10 pm. We made a reservation for 10. Got here early waited about 10 min for our bay which was fine. We have been to Topgolf's in other areas. We have always been greeted by someone. Tonight we were already hitting and starting games and someone came to greet us about 10 min later. We were trying to order drinks and it took over 15 min to find our person or for the person to come back to the bay. Then once we ordered our drinks it took another 20 / 25 min for them to show up. Food is always pretty good here but we just wanted a place to hangout and grab drinks. Ended up ordering food towards the end of the first of 2 hours. Didn't get until about half way through the second hour. Might as well taken it go at that point. But other than that it was good and nice place to hangout. Would differently try again for a different experience. It's always a fun time at your local Topgolf. This location in Midtown is still fairly new and it shows with their big screens in the hitting area and in the bay. I have been to this location several times now and I have yet to be disappointed. You just got to go in with the right expectations. Being an avid golf fan, it's a fun place to bring your non golf friends. There are a variety of games that anyone can play and be good at. You do not need to know anything about golf to have fun here. You can toggle the difficulty of all the games, so if you really wanted to compete with your golf buddies, that's also available. The prices are fairly reasonable if you are able to split it in a group. Where they get you is with the food and drink menu. Thankfully this last time I went it was part of an event, with Topgolf hosting the food. The spread was actually very nice. There were a variety of fruits and bar foods that really stood out. What people don't realize is that Topgolf has more than just golf. This location has a large indoor lounge and bar with big screens that would be perfect for to watch a game. Our church did a women's event here and it was a BLAST even for people who don't like golf or aren't good at it ‍. I also went with my husband once and it was such a fun date! A nice break from just grabbing food somewhere. The ball just spits right out of the machine so no tracking a ball or lots of walking and none of the level 10 frustration experienced at the driving range. I tried multiple snacks and it was ALL good. We had a new server and she was the absolute sweetest. She was super helpful and kind. As a SLU student, I absolutely love having a new spot to hang out with friends! I went on a Wednesday night, and it was a much more affordable option for me as a college student than if I would've gone on a weekend. It was also nice that crowds were minimal compared to the weekends. Parking was very easy, and I appreciate that they have security patrolling the entire parking lot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by super friendly employees at the front desk. Check-in was very easy, and only a few minutes later, our bay was all ready for us! The view of Downtown St. Louis and the Arch is breathtaking, especially all lit up at night. Our server Ty was extremely friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic. I can tell he loves his job! All of the food and drinks we ordered came out very quickly. I ordered the Topgolf Sangria, and it was strong and refreshing. My boyfriend ordered the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade, and he loved it. The food is definitely overpriced for the portion sizes. Next time, I'll probably eat somewhere else beforehand and just get drinks. I ordered the Chicken Tacos, and while it was delicious, each taco as so tiny! Same thing with the boneless wings... satisfying, but not necessarily worth it. However, for dessert, I would recommend ordering the Injectable Donut Holes with raspberry and chocolate filling. The portion size is perfect, and it's a fun treat to share! I have visited the Chesterfield location in the past, and if I remember correctly, they have couches at each bay. The St. Louis location has bar height tables and chairs, which is less comfortable in my opinion. Nevertheless, each bay is still very private and comfortable! The heaters kept us nice and warm since it was a chilly evening outside. When it came time to pay, our check was somehow switched up with another bay. After seeing that we had been charged over triple the price of what it should've been, we realized that we had paid the wrong bill, and that other group had paid our bill. It ended up being quite a mess because we had partially paid with a gift card, and the employees were having a hard time sorting everything out with both parties involved. Our server was very apologetic, but this issue definitely put a slight damper on our otherwise perfect experience. My team from work celebrated Employee Appreciation Week by coming here. I was so excited to come here since it's new, close to the office, and is another downtown addition. Prior to coming, I was informed gps gives confusing directions and the best way to get here is by taking Broadway to Chouteau. Sure enough, it worked! When I pulled up, I had no idea it would be this big since the glimpses you get from the highway don't do this place justice. As I was walking in, I noticed they had an enclosed outdoor area (something I don't recall Chesterfield having). I went through the front door and was instantly greeted by the three attendants at the desk. Check in was seamless as they send a text prior to arrival to confirm you're confirming and send a waiver to anyone who doesn't have a membership. Since I was already a member, once I gave my name, they informed me our bay was 212 and would be on the second level. For reference, the gift shop is located on the 1sf floor, in addition to a large bar. The second floor has a bar, too. I was the first to arrive from my party, while the others slowly trickled in. It wasn't long before our server came by, gave us all waters and then took our drink orders. Majority of my colleagues got beer, while my first drink was the blueberry lemon drop martini and then I got the sunset margarita the next round. I thought the blueberry martini was excellent! It's incredibly sweet, so beware! Shortly after we got our drinks, our food came! I must admit, it tasted A LOT better than I expected. The katsu sliders I got were incredibly delicious! The chicken was crispy and yet still juicy, and the katsu sauce really made the slider pop! Keep in mind, this particular dish comes with a dill pickle and slaw but I had those removed. The tots were good; nothing special about them but they paired really well as a side. When I finished my first slider, my sunset margarita arrived. This is a blood orange based margarita. As far as taste, it was ok. The first few sips tasted off and while I drank most of it, it def. wasn't my favorite. I sampled the macaroni and pretzel bites and those slapped as well! For 2:15 in the afternoon, this place was far busier than expected. Despite that, we still received great service. 11-11-23. 3pm. Saturday. It was a great day for my first golf lesson at the newly opened Top Golf, St. Louis. Kevin was our instructor. He gave my two friends & I one hour of tips and instruction for $129. A private one hour lesson for one is $99, so I feel like we got a deal. This package also included one appetizer to share and three non-alcoholic beverages. We didn't eat or drink anything except water because we wanted a full lesson. I do suggest you take advantage of that part of the package before the one hour lesson starts because if you don't it detracts from your lesson time. There was a huge tv over the bar area that reminded me of the tvs in ballpark village. Parking and the entrance are kind of strange due to the angle of the building, which faces east, so the storms rolling in do not effect play. The venue has heaters everywhere. The couch was even warm to the touch when I sat down. It is also open year round. I asked how you could see your ball as it landed in snow. I was told the balls have computer chips and after you drive, the computer screen at your feet shows you where it landed. I had fun, learned a lot from conversation and lesson. The venue was comfortable. I would have preferred for loud music to not be playing during my lesson, but I got over it. Will return with my husband to see how he likes it and to try some food. We called to change our reservation time the day before and they wouldn't allow us to change it so we had to cancel and forfeit our fee to reschedule which was very frustrating. We chose not to book again online and take our chances getting in since it's an extra $25 fee on an already expensive evening. We showed up at 6pm and got right in our requested level. We were greeted right away and got in a food order. They also provided my husband with a left handed set of clubs. Our food and drinks came out promptly. The nacho portion was a little small but it was good. We had some issues when we paid they ran the card I put down when I mentioned at the beginning I didn't want to pay with that card (they told me the card didn't matter it was just to hold it).
