    Hotties at the bar.

Great staff! Cozy patio with lots of trees and shade AND TVs. Fun, casual spot to meet with friends.

Neighborhood dive bar with okay cheap food. The fries were great, my salad and black bean burger were okay. My boyfriend did not like his chicken sandwich. He said the chicken patty was thin. The service was fine. The patio could use some upgrading. The table and chairs are old and everything is dirty. I did like that the patio had a big tree that provided lots of shade.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. Still charging my card after I left.

No longer does the SLU ID nights. So, maybe they are strapped for cash.... But still fleecing people 20$ a drink is absurd. Do not use a card here . Ambiance is too "dive bar" for anything close to these prices. Me and my friends each bought a couple jack and jokes. THE MOST BASIC AND MASS ORDERED COCKTAIL INCLUDING WHISKEY WHICH THEY HAVE A WHOLE WALL OF. Each of us were hit with 20$ charges a piece for each drink without ever receiving a receipt once for any of us....no excuse for J&C and other basic cocktails to run anyone 20$.

After the zoo. I decide to try Great Grizzly Bear. Perfect timing to watch afternoon cardinals game on tv. I ordered Grizzly chicken sandwich. It's ok only friend chicken patties. I thought grilled chicken breast but I'm wrong. It's pretty good. My daughter ordered Cajun poboy wrapped and she said it was good. I'm not sure Kona Big Wave draft beer for 7.50. That's pricey. I'd come back and try something else.

Man, came to this place, looks like a random hole in the wall bar, but this place is awesome! They had live music the day we came and a back yard pretty big patio. Got to order their kimchi wrap, fries, and smash burger. Everything was great! Fries were crispy and well seasoned, burger was juicy and bun was soft and delicious, the wrap was tender with a perfect kimchi ratio, not overpowering. Great place, we will be back!

Came to the spooky movie event. It was super fun! This place has a huge dog friendly patio with a big screen. Perfect for movie night, and will certainly keep in mind for future STL games. It will be perfect for blues games and next years cardinals season. The kimchi wrap is super good. It's the perfect balance of flavors. The old bay fries are delicious and crispy. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Overall great place with a super cool Patio in back.

I came here last night, and it has a dive bar vibe. Several people were sitting in the bar area and getting their night started early. Meanwhile, I only stopped by for a drink and saw this online through my quick search. The bar has good drinks, and they're affordable (for once)! My dog was with me, so I sat outside in their patio area. It was spacious, too. I would come here again with my friends for a chill, dive bar feel. I'll try their food options next time, too.

Orders: Incarnation Draft IPA | Party Fries with Crispy Bacon, Cheese Curds & Spicy Buffalo Sauce Omggggggg those FRIES THO! YASSSS!!!!! Lovely live music from a gal who sounds like she wandered straight out of a fairy forest. Just beautiful!! Cool bartenders & a big back patio in lovely Soulard. Authentic grubby pubby feel. I will always wish that plastic cups would magically become reusable glass ones, so that's a pretty consistent note for many of today's establishments, but otherwise high fives for an awesome, "elevated dive"!

Came here for the first time for a Yelp Elite event. They did not have food when we came for Tastes of Soulard so we didn't stop by so I'm glad this event came up. We got a taste of the soft pretzel which was really good. The Old Bay fries were also tasty. Burger was good but wasn't really a smash burger. Kimchi chicken wrap was interesting. My husband liked it. I'm Korean and kimchi is our quintessential food so I'm a little pickier about it. Staff was really friendly and attentive and the place was cute. Great drink prices and specials.

I came here with my friends last night. We have been going to this place all throughout our college days. I am turning 23 on Monday, so we did a barcycle tour to celebrate. We wanted to stop here for a nostalgic moment. However, the bouncer turned me away because he said the Missouri scanner app he was using was not picking up my Texas ID. I have never had a problem anywhere with my Texas ID. Y'all need to fix your system because I could have easily called the police to verify that it was a valid ID, but I did not feel that this establishment was worth that effort. Please fix whatever app you are using to scan ID's or use a different method because you are turning down good business.

Great Grizzly Bear is truly setting itself apart from the bar scene in Soulard under new ownership! Since reopening earlier this year I have had the chance to visit Great Grizzly Bear several times, each being a remarkable experience. The cool part about Great Grizzly Bear is that they're trying to maintain the "dive bar" vibe while elevating the experience for the Millennial crowd looking for an Instagrammable evening. The revamped bar offers a menu of mouthwatering offerings. I am in LOVE with the adult chicken nuggets. It's awesome that they offer the nuggets grilled instead of fried to keep your health in mind. Another fun menu item (that's less waistline friendly) are the party fries that have cheese and fried chicken skins. Sounds weird but I am legit addicted to the crispiness of the fried skins. The true standout of the food menu though is the kimchi chicken. While it's listed as a fried sandwich, I always order it with grilled chicken served in a wrap. The kimchi is spicy with a ting of vinegar sourness and the chicken is tender as any chicken I've ever had. This wrap is truly stellar, and I visit once a week to order it. Great Grizzly Bear has done a great job of offering a curated craft beer menu too. And to boot, their happy hour offers $5 beers. I was surprised to see beers from some of my favorites like Rockwell, 4Hands and Civil Life, but also other local hot spots like Logboat and the always tasty Main & Mill. I'm guessing their $5 happy hour moves a lot of product because the draft list is different pretty much every week. The patio at Great Grizzly Bear is spacious and comfortable. I love that it's hidden from the street in a secret garden of sorts. The string lights create a laid back ambiance for you to catch up with friends and make some new memories. It's awesome that the patio is pooch friendly too. In fact, they even have a special entrance for your furry friends so they don't have to walk through the bar. As the weather changes, it's going to be an awesome place to catch some football games on one of their massive TV's while grabbing a delicious bite to eat.

Great atmosphere! Great prices on drinks and food! I had driven by many times thinking it was just a small hole in the wall bar but it is also home to a large outdoor patio. They also serve fresh cookies!

The staff were incredibly welcoming, which for me is always the biggest indicator of whether I'll enjoy a place. I arrived during their daily Happy Hour (4-6 PM) and ordered the crab dip with homemade crackers, while my friend tried one of their cocktails. Everything tasted delicious, and the staff remained very attentive throughout our visit. I was also impressed by the cleanliness and the interior design. I noticed a beautiful mural on the wall and later learned it is a portrait of one of the owner's mothers, how sweet is that? If you're thinking about stopping by this new downtown spot, don't hesitate! My only feedback is that the entrance can be a little difficult to find as the signage wasn't very visible to me, but that's it. Highly recommend!

The drinks are on the pricier side, but they're well-curated, beautifully crafted, and the presentation is on point. I haven't tried the food yet, though I've heard good things. It does seem like the menu is limited, and availability can be hit or miss. I was told they were out of certain plates and that they'd already sold the last of some items for the day. So I'm still figuring out how the food service works and how often everything is available. Overall, I'd come back to keep exploring and hopefully find a few favorites.

We arrived a little after 11 and found a space in the back parking lot. The lot is convenient as it's pretty well-lit and is diagonal from the CF. We entered through the back where the deck is and walked right in. Upon first glance, you'll notice the hanging lights above the entrance and then after a few feet, the bar is immediately to the right. The tables are all along the left side as to make a walkway for the bar (super convenient). Due it being their anniversary, it was a bit crowded but not too bad where you couldn't get a drink or walk through. My usual go-to is a flavored vodka (three olives grape) and sprite. While they had a plethora of spirits, sadly this wasn't one of them. They had other flavored vodkas but I opted to get a simple Cosmo while my friend got a makers and coke. The Cosmo was just what I needed and might I add, well made! After we got our drinks, we did a quick walk through of the other side called The Oddities (coming soon), as well as the upstairs that overlooks the entire place. The stairs are steep, so it would behoove you to hold on to the railing. While I love trying new places, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb. Turns out, everyone was friendly, the drinks are great, and the music wasn't bad! They had different acts going on for this particular evening (I'm not sure if this is the norm), but I know my friend is a regular on Tuesday's for karaoke. I do intend to come back and try out some more drinks and food and check out the other place once it officially opens.

We arrived right on time for our reservation, stood for quite a few minutes in a half-empty house before being seated, then waited a very long time between visits from our apparently over-stretched waitstaff. The first cocktail I chose wasn't available; nor was the first entree. I settled on the "red wine flight", and it arrived in three glasses. The server recited their names, but I didn't catch them. Food was middle of the road. A smoked sirloin sandwich was tasty, though rather well-done. And the order of "salmon cakes", which the menu says is made of "smoked salmon, roast corn, tomato, cucumber, creme fraiche, and capers" was in fact just one cake (not cakes!), smaller than a hockey puck (about 1/2" thick max) and seemed to be made of canned fish, not the bright orange of smoked salmon. It was accompanied by five thin slices of cucumber and three or four halved grape tomatoes. No corn, no capers. It was so boring, and an overpriced disappointment at $23. If this Bridge is actually closing and focusing on the event space, they've gone out with a whimper. And if they're actually continuing service, I hope they get the food a little closer to the menu descriptions. Our drinks and water glasses were empty for long stretches.
