Where government buildings and passport offices are concerned, this is a 5 star facility. Going…read morethrough the process of re-newing your passport is more painful than pulling teeth. I have bad memories of lining up and sitting and waiting for hours on end for my number to be called. They have made the process easier now. You can fill out the form online and bring it to the passport office. This gives you free range to bypass the line. I've been to the office twice, and both times the process was relatively pain free. This location is pretty sweet, it's right on the subway line and it's fairly not busy. Go up to the third floor and the passport office is a short walk away. The whole building are government offices, and unless a lot of other government buildings it's quite cheery. They even have a cafe and tons of seating area. Not that you'll need it. The lines aren't too bad and the staff is pretty efficient. If you're going to re-new a passport, I say slot down a one hour timeslot for getting the stuff done. Not too bad.. Not too bad at all..

I consider the service decently quick. I was the 20th person in line.. and they did a pre-screening…read more3 mins before 8am. Got checked and was given a ticket. my turn came up 30 mins after. All in all, very organized. There could have been more tellers, but I can't complain, still got into work for 9:30am downtown.

One of the worst city services around. They cover up facts to get paid under the table for it. I…read morehave facts of that too. Ppl in my building freeze and have to use their ovens to keep warm due to 60+ year old window. They all deserve to go suffer in hell.

No Help 311 Toronto about my complaint about city personnel…read more I received the following email reply from 311 Toronto dated June 3/25 concerning my email complaint to 311 on June 2/25 (see my post on May 29/25 on Toronto Employment & Social Services for complaint details) '' Good morning JL, Thank you for contacting 311 Toronto. Sorry to hear about your experience. Information related to your inquiry can be found on the City of Toronto website at Employment & Social Services - Complaints & Compliments - City of Toronto Did you know we have made our Knowledge Base accessible to the public? Please visit our website From our home page, scroll down to 311 Knowledge Base and type in your keyword search. Please let us know if you require any further information or assistance. Regards, Joanne M. 311 Toronto'' I replied back to 311 Toronto the same date on June 3/23 as follows & then got no response whatsoever further from the City 311 team ''I did check into the info link you emailed me. It seems to me that they do not accept anonymous email complaints from members of the public with no identifiable personal information The negative experience I described gave me a strong impression that I will become a target of retaliation & I still rely on accessing resources at this location This is NOT an isolated incident I have personally experienced at this centre. ALL MY PREVIOUS FACE-TO-FACE COMPLAINTS have proven waste of lots of my valuable time & whatever I have been complaining about continued, being routinely ignored if not getting worsened My only option is try to avoid coming here so I wont become another ongoing victim of being harassed & discriminated against.''

Likely due to the amalgamation in the late 90's, the Toronto Public Library couldn't have two reference libraries. The Toronto Reference Library retained its name. This one changed its name to North York Central Library. I don't recall when the North York City Centre subway station changed its name to North York Centre. I remember frequenting Coles and the food court back then. I should go back. I'm sure everything looks and is different. I like this library a lot. It's spacious. If you need a place to quietly read a book or study, there were plenty of tables and chairs to do it. It's still the case to this day. It's a popular place for students to visit, do research, and study. I like that there are lots of floors to spread out. There were seven when I was last there. This library went through major renovations back in 2017. Three floors were affected. This section was reopened a year later. These days, it has auditorium, a Braille writer, magnifiers, and wheelchair-accessible furniture. It also has wifi. I always liked the DVDs, CDs, and other media formats. This library had the best selection. I miss having a Toronto library card. Back then, I used to live in Toronto before I moved to Markham with my parents. I then studied in Toronto, so having a library card was free. I neither work nor live in Toronto. I refuse to shell out money for a Toronto library card. Instead, I'm content with my Markham, Mississauga, and Brampton ones. (43)

I went there at around 11am and was happy to grab a table in by the windows. I stayed there till closing and must say that it is a good spot if you want to study in groups or individually. The single study booths are hard to grab as they are on a first come first serve basis.
