I would suggest going there before 8am so you deal less with waiting. The line definitely started to get crowded after 8am. The security gives you a number with ticket and let's the first 5 go up in the elevator to the second floor to wait about 5-10 minutes ahead of 8:30am. Then after I think they use the computerized system for your number to be called upstairs. If you don't want to be standing downstairs as long, definitely bring a folding chair. I was in and out in 20 minutes when the office opened at 8:30am. Just beware they only accept debit/credit card/tap to pay and not cash. Only cash they accept is if you have a money order.

When I visited, there was a line forming in the lobby with a security guard there to answer questions, provide forms, and file people into the room with another line. The lines moved fairly quickly. The employee behind the counter checked over my form and looked at my current passport and passport photos, printed a ticket, and instructed that I wait on the second floor for my ticket number to be called. The wait upstairs did not take long. The next employee I saw checked over everything; I paid, and she informed me that my new passport would be mailed out in ten business days. The whole process took less than 45 minutes.

Generally, I hate going to service Ontario for anything whether it's to renew my license, deal with…read morecar stuff or anything really that requires me to go in person and not able to do online. During covid, this location is appointment only which is great. Book online. Do NOT come without an appointment, you'll waste your time waiting in line and being sent away which happened to a few people in front of us. Do NOT come super early, they'll keep pushing you back to allow for the earlier appointments - again, happened to a bunch of people. Come on time, they will move you up in the line if there are people with later appointments than you. Located in the mall, there's security at the front of the mall asking what you're coming in for, he'll then direct you to the right person. You'll head to service Ontario where there's a line outside and someone managing the line. Our appointment was for 11 but we didn't get in until 11:15am. However, once we got in, we immediately got down to business and got everything we needed done - and I had like 3 different items too. The lady was polite, efficient but no nonsense - which I appreciated! She helped us with everything we needed, everything was organized and explained well. 15 minutes later, we're done everything, I'm happy and walking out for lunch. Sure I didn't exactly get the time I booked but given how quickly I was in and out during covid, I'm not going to complain. Will definitely try to book this location in the future for any other service Ontario things - here's hoping it won't be for another 10 years though!

This is my first trip back. It's a very nice modern facility with a view to the outside from pretty well anywhere inside. There is plenty of seating based on what you want to do while you're here. If you need to plug in your electrical device (e.g. cellphone, tablet), power outlets are available. Free WiFi access is available at all library branches. Enjoy this public space but be respectful of others too!

The parking at this particular location is absolutely *atrocious*, so try to take transit if you can or park across the street at the Shoppers Drug Mart. Once inside, though, IFS is quick, informative and not overly expensive. They provided me with several information sheets, such as where I needed to send my documents and prints (even though I already knew), and even though waiting required me to take a number , IFS didn't treat me like one. IFS has several locations throughout the GTA, Ontario and across Canada.

Social spacing was in effect and we were asked to line up outside. A controlled entry was immediately instituted by staff 10 minutes upon our entry and queuing because 30 of us were packed into this venue. Once we were able to get to the counter, customer service was courteous and efficient.
