Pretty sad! There are empty seats inside and it's warm. However, this office insists on making a long lineup outside in -8°C weather, which it was today. I'm not sure I understand the logic. One of the security guards even stated that it's just too bad. This is Canada and you have to dress up warmly. Forcing people to stand in freezing temperatures for an hour or more, is not only absurd, but also inhumane and cruel. read more

I had brought all kinds of extra reading with me, but was pleasantly able to get everything done within 10 minutes. I had all the forms filled out for my son's passport ahead of time, and even with the minor omissions, the staff were kind and experienced enough to process appropriately. It was probably the first day of summer and there was hardly anybody there on a Friday afternoon, but even if you do have to wait and you have a straightforward matter, this location is worth the drive from the 416. read more

Worst service. 25 days travel proof required but a person who just became citizen can not complete all procedure in 25 days. Get CAN passport, surrender citizenship and then get visa to travel - NOT possible in 25 days. I had to give 1 * else give 0. read more

On Saturday morning is about a block long before they even open at 9. They have done a great job organizing and keeping the flow quick and moving. As soon as I was inside the building the process was a breeze. Word of advice, please fill in the forms you need which are available online. This will save you a ton of time. This can make or break your Saturday morning so make sure to come prepared. read more

As the ONLY open passport office in the GTA on a Saturday, I brought a fully charged iPhone and iPad. Sure enough, when i got there at 9:25, the lineup was out the door. Fair enough though, they cranked those people through. FILL OUT YOUR FORMS BEFORE HAND. read more

As a new citizen one of the first things I did was get myself a passport application and head on over to apply for a passport. I'm going to quickly answer what many of you want to know and that's I got here at 10:15 on a Monday and left just before 10:45 having only to wait for 5 or 6 numbers to get called up before mine. You walk in, make yourself to counter 1 where they check that you have all your forms signed, correct picture and IDs. Then given a number, I waited at a pretty empty waiting room with a good number of counters being occupied. The worker at my counter was friendly, went through my application and made an edit to one field which you can never fill properly on the computer (tow they require an end date to your current occupation) and she suggested I not choose to pick up my passport as this location is considered a satellite branch to the one in Mississauga and therefore offers no pick up service. If I were to pick it up it would cost $10 more (it does for everyone) and I would HAVE to go to the Mississauga branch on the 31st of the October. Or I can not pay anything extra and have them mailed to me via registered post and receive it earlier than the 31st. Assuming that Mississauga would be very busy with people picking up on the same day I opted for the more convenient and better option of having it mailed to me. The office is located in a strip mall just past Bovaird and Main/Hurontario, and not too difficult to find given that they also have a Canadian flag in front of it. If you're in some sort of huge rush to get all this done asap there is also a place to get your passport pictures in the mall itself. So for being a satellite branch where no pick ups are handled this place looses out on a star but considering the less than 30minute wait time for everything to be sorted out, I give this a good 4 stars! read more

On September 5,2017 at about 2:50pm I was served by a government representative at the Brampton passport office, that needs to learn some manners.As i approached wicket 16,I recieved a phone call from my daughter and work place at the same time.Being the first day of school it became worrysome that I recieved both phone calls at the same time.I answered my phone as I approached the wicket.The person at the wicket looked at me impatiently and waited until I hung up.He proceeded to process 3 of my 4 passports without saying anything, waiting I decided to return the phone call to my daughter to make sure everything was ok,he stopped and asked me if I would prefer to go and sit down and finish making my phone call and return back when I was done.I responded by saying I would wait. He proceeded to process the last passport without a word.He then asked to correct something without explaination,I got confused as to what was being asked and he went on to say"I cannot dumb it down any further"Short and sweet this employee at wicket 16 needs to go back for retraining on how to treat a customer.He is a representative of the government of Canada. If you do not like your cushy job,then go find another one because your ignorance is not tolerated. I hope this gets to the person and gets him to use his head a bit.Treat people as you would like to be treated...maybe he likes being treated like this.Nowadays your job is not proteceted as you might think it is. Open Saturdays. Such a blessing and right in my neighbourhood. The lineups are long but it moves quickly and the security makes sure you're in the door soon especially when its cold. If you have everything ready and filled out ahead of time, getting your passport is a breeze. read more

This office is so well run. The employees are all professional and friendly and helpful. I got there a couple minutes before opening on a saturday and the line was crazy long - 150 people or more. Doors opened promptly and the employee at door managed the system well for letting folks in. Not all of us got in right away but she explained how it would work and said she would do her best to get us in as soon as possible. At 10:05 am, I was back in my car, with my passport all submitted, so they processed all of us who were in line in about an hour - pretty awesome. They had lots of stations open and the people working there were working fast and efficiently. Awesome office! read more

Went here today to apply for a passport. The process was very quick.. This is the least amount of time I've ever spent inside a passport office. I arrived at about 1pm and the entire process took less than an hour. read more

I arrived at 9:02am on a Saturday to renew my daughter's passport and there were already around 150~ 200 people in front of me. The line snaked to the side and back of the building. Thank God it was a nice warm summer day in late June. By the time I finished, it was 10:40am, some 1 hour and 40 minutes later. The last time I came to this same office was to renew my passport. I came on a Friday afternoon, and the entire process took no more than 15 minutes with no line-ups. Do what you can to come on a weekday rather than a Saturday. On that Saturday, the lineup into the building was relatively fast (about 30 minutes), but once you got inside, you need to wait another 15 minutes in line to speak to the reception booth and get a number. They have 19 service counters, but only 14~15 are active at any time (3 are used as reception to coordinate the flow which is actually very helpful). The center is quite efficient, but the volume of people on Saturday is overwhelming. What was most unfortunate was that at 10:30am there must have been a shift change, as for 5~10 minutes, there were 9 booths that sat empty.
