4.5 rounding down to 4…read more I've had to change go-to locations due to closures over the years, so I'm glad to still have one that isn't too far out of the way from home. It's conveniently located in this little mall, which is right off Highway 7 and Martin Grove, so it has plenty of parking, which is sometimes difficult with government offices. You can make an appointment ahead of time for most services, which I've done. When you go into the mall, it's close to the Tim Hortons (across from the Home Hardware.) It looks like your typical, drab office, complete with handwritten and paper printout signage everywhere. When you come in and you have an appointment, you approach the desk where it says to check in for appointments. Otherwise, you have your usual, snaking line towards the counters for non-appointment visits. Both times, I've had very friendly, competent staff serve me. I like that they are diligent, and check what time your appointment is before serving you. They don't take any nonsense because they are running on a very tight schedule, but they are professional and not rude about it. Both times recently, they've been very efficient, even though one appointment was for a not very routine service. They have a supervisor on hand as well who helps keep things running smoothly and assists with reassigning wherever needed to keep everything going. So why not 5 stars? The venue really is tight and drab, and even with the generally very good service, it doesn't help when people lie about their appointment times. I also find the online appointment signup very un-user friendly, and I find you have to book like a week ahead. Still, a very good Service Ontario office overall. I'm not too mad that it's replacing the ones I've gone to previously.

Every few months, I fly into Toronto Pearson International Airport. This is to visit family though…read moreoccasionally I have a work conference there, too. I typically fly in and out of Terminal 3 when I fly American Airlines though on the rare occasion, I instead fly Air Canada and travel in and out of Terminal 1. Unlike friends who absolutely hate flying, I enjoy the travel experience, especially when using some helpful tools like Nexus, airport lounge membership, and airline status, all of which I was able to enjoy during my Toronto airport visits. When checking in, I was able to skip the check-in area if I didn't need to check bags (as I checked in online) on one of my trips, and then this most recent time, I checked in at the priority area for assistance and checking bags. I then went to the Terminal 3 check-in and used Nexus to go through to the expedited part of the Security line (which also works if someone has Global Entry). Elaborating on the Security line, there are two options: (1) the general Security line, and (2) the Nexus/Global Entry Security line. I have a Nexus card (whereas I used to have Global Entry thanks to the American Express Platinum card, which also has other benefits at the Toronto Pearson International Airport). After making it through Security, there are three lines at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. One line is for U.S. citizens, one line is for non-U.S. citizens, and the third line is for any Nexus/Global Entry card holders. Nowadays, when you go through the third line, you just have a photo taken and then walk right to the front of the line where a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer will wave you through. After that, it's the Tax-free Duty Shop! All in all, it's a good airport, and throughout my regular trips to Toronto, I have gotten into my routine for my check-in experience, customers/security, shopping, lounges, and flights. I look forward to exploring more at the Toronto Pearson International Airport in the future, especially when next flying in Terminal 3.

I hope this is legit, but I stopped by here after researching for a spot that does textile…read morerecycling, re: clothing that cannot be donated because they have holes, excessive pilling, and just overall unwearable. (I know the City of Markham has a good textile recycling program with quite a few drop-off spots. If I knew that I'd be in that area, I'd prep a bag of textiles to donate.) Anyway, the bin is located directly outside of the Region of Peel building. Visitor parking is right across from the bin. It was easy to do, but bin was already kinda full upon my drop-off as there were other items on door as I pulled it down. So maybe it should be emptied out more often.
