The walking track is free to use and available from 7am - 11am & 5pm - 8pm everyday. Also, there were some outdoor performances. The weather was ok, just too cold I felt. There were lot of volunteers to help out. It was a long lineup for the free popcorn, my kid enjoyed the Lego station so much. The swimming pool has a big dolphin, which also attracted my daughter too. Then the Aquaquest classes that were each kid's rite of passage. At one point it became cool to bike here, hang out, and hit up the awesome yellow big kids' slide. Then you stopped coming as a teenager 'cause Wonderland and the beach were cooler. And then one day I came back for the Lane Swim to cure my saaaadd, academia-induced neck pain. I had become an adult. Not much has changed over the years. The giant "Richmond Hill" flag still hangs at the front of the pool. The ceiling here was likely exceptionally high and sunny for '90s standards, and is still impressive today. I *think* the "big kids' slide" is still the same one from childhood and it hasn't aged a day in 20 years. Change rooms are large and clean and let you avoid people. The staff are nice, it doesn't cost a fortune to come here, and their public lane swim hours are good (approx. 11am-1pm and 9-10pm on weekdays, 11-12:30 on weekends). The pool at 25m is standard for a community centre with a generous deep end, the warm pool is equally fun and spacious. My only complaint would be the narrowness of the small lane, and that the hairdryers in the women's washrooms are way too high for the 99% Asian demographic. Guess the town of R-Hill hadn't anticipated this turnout, lawls. 5 stars because this pool was already neat during its day and has kept up beautifully over the years. I've visited other R-Hill pools like the Centennial, where staff are rude a.f., or the Wave Pool, which is fun if you're under 12 and intolerable if you're over. I'll hit up a few more pools before finalizing the verdict, but for now Bayview Hill remains a first-rate spot to get your exercise in.

They also run summer/ March break sporting camps (tennis, basketball). This centre also features a play place in a room with really high ceilings - includes a small play structure and some kids toys throughout. There is a small sensory room that is always supervised. A large library with private study rooms available for booking. The pool is so spacious and bright! Large pool available for lane swim and a decent size kid pool. There is also a waterslide and small splash pad that isn't always in use/ turned on. The onsite gym isn't the largest but has decent equipment and a nice large 3 lane track (slow, medium, fast) that overlooks the gymnasium from above. Parking garage has been under construction for years. It also doesn't connect to the rec centre directly during this time of construction/ sometimes the elevator is not operational which is inconvenient especially in the winter when you have to exit the parking garage only to walk a few meters to enter the rec centre.

Cassie Campbell, or better known as the Wellness Centre's twin…read more The reason I say that is because the layout for both of them is basically identical. However, perhaps because it is newer, Cassie Campbell is a little nicer. What I like about it is the giant glass walls that allow you to see outside. It really makes the place seem bigger and non-claustorphobic. The layout of the gym consists of all the workout equipment in the centre, and a track circling around, with the corners available for stretching exercises. Basically every piece of equipment one could need is here, and then some. The membership fees are reasonable. I bought a month pass which is only $40 if you are a student, otherwise its closer to $50. For a one time pass it's $7 for a student and closer to $10 if you are not a student. There are also a lot of other activities and classes since it's a community centre; however, I can only comment on the gym part since that's all I really used. If you are looking for a place to workout, I recommend at least trying out this gym, you might end up loving it. Warning, depending on which side you come from on Chinguacousy you may have to pull a U-Turn to get inside the parking lot lol. . . but bonus though, if you buy a pass to any Brampton city gym, you gain access to all their gyms.

There are 3 courts for badminton, and the same space is used for other sports. There is also a running track upstairs where you can run 19 laps, which is equivalent to 1 mile. There's also a nice swimming pool, along with an area for ping pong. I heard there is a workout room somewhere, but I have still yet to explore the rest of the facility. Just today I discovered some music rooms downstairs!!!! This community center keeps surprising me with new discoveries lol. The quality of this place is not too new, but it's not falling apart either. It is nicely maintained. The best part.... free parking lol.

There are shower rooms that have showers then a dressing room (sometimes its locked sometimes its not) it just depends. but back to the topic there is a bathroom. now A QUICK WARNING. because people are going to need it. if you are a boy. who needs to use the washroom. if you go to the boys shower room and head to the bathroom. there is only one stall. now if you head to the unviersal. there is multiple. and the showers are the same only 4 for all shower rooms. there is a office for FIRST AID and more. STAFF: Now this one is going to be pretty short unlike the pool one. because well there isnt much things to say. some staff are nice some are not. and thats kind what sums it. as there really isnt nothing else to say expect most of the staff are nice. I remember spending 13 days in four different Toronto community centres including this one from 24-Dec-2013 to 04-Jan-2014. The North American event was called the 2013 Toronto Ice Storm locally. So much of this city was impacted by the significant severe winter weather storm that included a crippling blanket of ice that forced Toronto to open up a number of community centres as emergency shelters. I even celebrated my birthday here during a midnight shift, complete with a cake that another volunteer bought and then totally surprised me with! The staff here were terrific, then and now. What great memories about what these functional community centre are when times were really tough, and when I'm only here to freely exercise my democratic right to Vote!

All's well at Chinguacousy Wellness…read more I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago and actually had a great time. My gf took me here because her pass at Goodlife expired and tbh my expectations were low but this place made quite an impression on me. All the gym equipment is in the middle of the room and there is a track that goes around it. It's neat how they managed to incorporate a track like that because now you never have to wait for a treadmill. At the corners of the track, there are spaces to do stretches/mattress exercises. The best part is the huge windows that allow lots of natural light to come in. The one thing I didn't like about the Goodlife in BCC is that it is in a basement and there are zero windows. So it was great to walk into Wellness Centre and be able to absorb that vitamin D while working out. To top it off, they lemon flavoured water that you can choose to drink if you get tired of regular water! Yeah, I really liked this place. The only negative would be that it's still a pretty small gym compared to the Goodlife gym nearby (main competitor). The great set up of the equipment kind of makes up for the smaller space but I find there's a bit more wait time for the equipment during peak hours than at Goodlife. Overall fantastic gym, I was impressed.
