I have countless great things from my experience when this gym was a Crossfit gym. I'd even tell others who live in other areas to consider Crossfit if they're looking for a new gym or a new approach to exercise. With that said, after several months at Crossfit, I realised that I was beginning to plateau. It's not to say that one can't continuously improve at a Crossfit gym, but if I'm honest, I like having things more or less programmed and prepared for me. Crossfit's workout of the day format offers that structure and is a great way to improve and then maintain fitness - but if you want get to the next level after a few months, you really need to consider doing a personal workout regimen, which many do at Crossfit gyms. The move to Impact Fitness is essentially a way of incorporating the things I loved about Crossfit, such as: group exercise, coaching, greater intensity workouts, heavier weights (if desired), a variety of exercises and other elements. In fact, many of the same exercises and equipment associated with Crossfit are still present. However, the class schedule now has more focus on determining goals, measuring progress and targeting specific areas. The daily schedule essentially operates in offering hour-long classes alternating between two types of workouts. One is 'strength', being weight training. The strength workouts in particular repeat throughout the month in order to continue working on the same area and work towards progressing. The other is 'conditioning', which is comparable to bootcamp styled high intensity interval training (HIIT). Beyond that, the workouts are also structured with either being mostly an upper body, or lower body work out. It allows you to plan your workouts and routine according to your goals, which can be done with the advice and help from the coaches. Effectively, Impact is a place where they have done most of the work in providing a workout plan and structure for members. It's really then just left to individuals to decide what their goals and preferences are, then plan their workout schedule and do the work accordingly. This is still with the benefit of a fun, supportive group atmosphere along with coaching. And hey, if you still want to do an even more personalized regimen, that's still available too.

We are both happy joining the program and working out with a group of gym buddies in, early morning. Paul and Christina are both fun to work with. I feel really less fatigued than before when I used to work out at home without anyone to point out where I am going wrong. It is highly recommended to join Impact Fitness to have a dedicated trainer for yourself and reach your fitness goals sooner.

Disappointed and Frustrated Experience - ITS 2026 REALLY???…read more I want to be honest about my experience at this gym. (Vodden Street, Brampton) Unfortunately, the atmosphere here often feels anything but welcoming. One of the biggest issues is the behaviour of certain members--particularly older men--who frequently congregate around machines for long periods, chat loudly, and effectively hog equipment. (Like they own the place - Big bullies) It makes it difficult to complete a workout, and I've noticed many others feel the same way. This kind of behaviour goes unchecked far too often, and it creates an uncomfortable environment for people who are actually trying to workout. What's particularly disappointing is how little staff intervene. Time and again, staff seem hesitant or reluctant to approach groups that are clearly occupying machines without working out, instead leaving the area uncontrolled. For a gym that advertises a "Judgement Free Zone," it doesn't feel very respectful or managed in practice here. There are also facility issues that need attention: The women's washroom needs better maintenance--the faucets don't always run properly and require long waits for water, and the shower fixtures seem dated and spray water everywhere rather than offering a usable shower. The overall cleanliness and upkeep in the washrooms and showers could be much better. While this location is affordable and members may find value in it, the combination of disrespectful member behaviour, a lack of effective staff enforcement, and facility maintenance problems makes it hard to recommend if your goal is to have a positive, productive workout environment.

But the part that I like most about this gym it's that it's open 24/7, so you can go anytime during the day. There are different routines each time you go with a different theme such as strength or endurance. You spend a certain amount of time on the rower, treadmill and doing floor exercises. So there's a great variety and all the coaches are really experienced (they're almost too by the script sometimes). The music is always high energy and the Orangetheory screen which shows your heart rate/calories burnt/splat points is really handy to keep you motivated (provided you have one of their heart rate monitors). This particular studio does get a bit crammed when the class is more than half full (12+ people, which is often) as there isn't a lot of room in the waiting area. But it's not an issue when you're working out. It does get fairly busy as there's only one studio in the city. So you should book your spot in advance through their app at least a day earlier. Parking is generally easy to find although workday evenings you might have to park a bit further away. Everyone is friendly and the exercises are easy to tailor to your abilities. I'd recommend this gym and location.

I always find it helpful when I can count on a friendly smile and a hello on those days when I really don't want to work out. There are plenty of machines and group classes. There are quite a few hard core fitness buffs training there, which can be either encouraging or make people feel self conscious. I personally found it encouraging. There are enough parking spots in the mall, but it gets busy in the evening so you may have to traverse most of the parking lot to get to the entrance. Changed to another gym when my place of business moved and miss training at this gym.

Hot yoga is free for members on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. You need to get a stamp to enter the class so get there a bit early. It wasn't the best hot yoga I've been to. The room is small and the floors are made of mats instead of hardwood. It wasn't as hot as other studios but I was still sweating buckets. I didn't find the teacher was spectacular either, but you get what you pay for. I liked how they had more machines, I didn't find myself waiting for anything. I haven't used the free weights yet, so I'm not sure about that aspect. The mats at the back of the room STINK. Eww wth I have never smelled mats like that before. There is a room on one side for work out classes and another room for spin classes. The showers aren't as new as the one at the Bramalea City Centre and the sauna is older but everything works fine. There are blow driers, cream, shampoo, conditioner, and an ironing board which is standard for any Goodlife. The locker room is very spacious. I only saw two massage chairs here and my boyfriend says they aren't very good. There are so many temptations around here... candies at Giant tiger, Pizza at Dominos, Mcdonalds, the beer store. It's hard to resist. 24 hrs Monday to Thursday. Only open till 6 on Saturday! Booooo.
