The walking track is free to use and available from 7am - 11am & 5pm - 8pm everyday. Why have an L shaped pool and call it Thorncliffe Outdoor Pool, its clearly the most logical choice. Also a warning to future patrons due to the large immigrant population there is a heavy gang presence. The most notorious gang being from the Australian immigrants. Be very wary of 10 year olds jumping around calling themselves the "The Gangeroos"; they do not use weapons but are very well known to the local police for dropkicking old people and kids in strollers. As long as you keep an open eye you'll have great time at Leaside Outdoor.

Besides pool, it has tennis court outdoor, 2 squash court, a small area for stretch , all purpose room and gym room with equipment. The good part is it has jacuzzi and sauna and not all city community Center has this facility. It also has indoor skating rink. Outdoor also has a rink for skateboard. There is parking . Although it cannot be compare to be as nice as the newly built community Center, it has quite unique facilities. With city has new program for gym membership , the membership is apply to most of the community Center include this one. I pay around $90 for 3 months. Good deal

I'm a swimmer, so I can't say much about the rest of the building but I will focus on the pool…read more The pool is a standard 25 meter pool, with a slide, a wheel chair ramp and a smaller shallow section. I go mainly for lap swims, and have found it often very busy. The fast lane is one single lane, medium a double and the slow lane another single lane (4 total). The fast lane tends to get busy quick, and not always the most generous or co-operative people swimming. I find that the morning swims are a bit less congested, and by the evening swims (especially in summer) the pool is quite cloudy and very busy. Not much else in the area for lap-swimming unless you want to get a membership at the YMCA (at bayview and sheppard). So I'd recommend it solely on that basis. If the location makes sense, I'd recommend checking out the 50m Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre at Sheppard and Yonge. It's in a fairly good location - mainly if you can drive. Getting there by bus is difficult (I'd recommend McNicoll bus over Leslie for frequency) Hope this helps!

I was very happy pre-COVID with both the facility and the availability/quality of the aquafit classes. Even tho the availability of classes at the facility is now more limited post-COVID, the quality of both the facility and aquafit program remained very satisfactory. HOWEVER over the last 6 months or so, the pool facility has not been properly maintained. The pool has been closed and aquafit classes cancelled 25-50% of the times in recent months -- often simply because they have not been properly monitoring chlorine levels. Other LA Fitness clubs have not had the same issue and this particular club is NOT addressing the problem. This is not acceptable and proper procedures should be instituted at once.

Negligence, Health Risks & Zero Accountability -- Extremely Disappointed…read more I was a member of LA Fitness at 1970 Eglinton Ave East, Toronto, and this is my honest review of how poorly I was treated. Back in January, after using their jacuzzi, I experienced a severe allergic reaction. My $800 swimsuit was completely ruined -- the fabric was eaten away. I lost 5 days of work because I physically couldn't go due to the reaction on my skin. Right after the incident, I ran to the front desk. The girl working there was kind and immediately shut down the pool and jacuzzi, hoping someone would follow up with me. Unfortunately, since it was a Sunday, no manager was available. Days later, I contacted Alisha, the location's General Manager. She told me to call between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. -- while I work full-time from 9 to 8 every weekday. Still, I took time off work to go in person and speak with her. She looked confused, promised a quick response, and then... nothing. No call. No email. I continued reaching out, and again, I was asked to come in and speak with "a team member." Why? I had already explained everything. After countless follow-ups and waiting patiently, I received a cold, copy-paste response saying that no compensation would be offered. They claimed the chemicals were "within range." But if that were true, I wouldn't have had a visible allergic reaction. And my high-quality swimsuit wouldn't have been destroyed. On top of that, even just walking in to talk to a manager is counted as a check-in, and they used that against me as "proof" of facility usage -- how is that fair? I was left without answers, without support, without compensation -- and without basic respect. This is not a free facility. I was a paying member. But to receive this level of carelessness, unprofessionalism, and cold treatment when your health is at risk? Unacceptable. I loved the classes. The Zumba instructors and yoga teachers were amazing and deserve recognition. But management? Completely unaccountable and dismissive. Maybe I was just unlucky with this location, but after this experience, I will never trust this company again. Your health and time matter. Unfortunately, at this gym -- they don't.

The machines are sufficient for my needs and I don't have time for "extras " like sauna or else , so no comment on that . I'm a basic gym goer, all I need is free weights, machines , and some cardio . The staff is friendly and nice . The price is average, perhaps because I've been there for so long. My understanding is that different people get different rates , which is not cool. So why the one star review ? Because of the ridiculous greed of the management . They have been cutting the hours . Like recently , they reduced the Mon -Fri schedule by one hour . Already it was bad , compared to other gyms , Sat and Sun til 8 pm , now the gym is closing at 10 pm Mon to Thursday. and 9 pm on Fri . This is ridiculous. People have lives and jobs . How much money are they saving ??? Does it cost that much to pay the front desk people one extra hour ? They have plenty of customers , the gym is very busy în the evening when I go , so what do they want ? People on top of people ? It might be time to look for another place . No luxury here , no massage chairs , no red lights , no vibration machines , not even a hip thrust machine , but it's ok for a basic workout. However , the schedule it beyond idiotic . I hope the management reads this and does something about it , or they will start losing customers fast . I've been one of the most loyal customers that a business could get , and if I'm considering leaving, I can only imagine what the rest of the people feel .

City of Toronto services includes: a new...the 100th Toronto Public library, a Wedding Chapel, Tax & Water, Traffic Services, City Clerk, City Planning Services, Fire Services, etc. An existing ground floor area is being renovated for a Dental Clinic (which will move from 160 Borough Drive next door that is also home to a Health Clinic). Outside, there's a waterfall and a reflecting pool which becomes a skating rinks in winter plus the surrounding Albert Campbell Square. Many City of Toronto plus community groups hold events here year round. Examples include job fairs and concerts. The Scarborough Town Centre mall and a transit hub for the TTC and GO Transit is just minutes away too!

Sat down at one of the many benches (they have many tables as well) shaded by the trees and enjoyed listening to the birds and the sound of the man made waterfall. After my moment of calm I headed to the busy Towne Centre, I was ready to face the masses.
