Very nice library. It's tidy and staff was friendly. The library structure was unique. A different and unique library compared to the rest.

The hours here are AWFUL. There is a book return after hours on the OUTSIDE of the building. The side facing Central Park Drive (I wish I knew my N,E,S,W, but I don't so hopefully that will suffice). I had to find out the hard way, circling the ENTIRRRRRRRE building (on foot because the old parking lot is now a bus terminal) before I found it. It's great for leisure reading. Not for finding academic resources in the least. The hours just kill it for me. Not a practical place to study on weekends.

It certainly helps that it's part of a library system that has a capacious collection so that you have the option to peruse through multiple branches. Of course this is true of any regional library but it is a serious plus that they offer us. For some of the hot titles right now such as the Steve Jobs bio, A Dance With Dragons and The Hunger Games series which I'm listening to at the moment almost every copy was out except for 1 or 2 copies of the latter 2 series in other branches. staff are helpful behind the various info desks, they have a good sized quiet study space, lots of study tables (especially on the second floor) and ample computer terminals and everything has always been in working order each time I've been there. Their hours are not the greatest, especially on weekends so that's a bit of a downer but overall they seem to be a great community center, across the parking lot for the ever expanding Bramalea City Centre. This branch is only an average 3 star location because despite it's great location it doesn't have anything that makes itself stand out as a location that I can see myself spending a day studying/reading at. Maybe a bit more accessible features for laptops (aka power outlets) can help? I'm always a fan of the library systems and I still see it as a "too good to be true" kind of deal especially with them carrying DVDs, Audiobook CDs and e-books. However while this is a reflection of the overall Brampton Library system rather than this specific branch I think they still do have room to play around with the potential the new mobile digital world has to offer to libraries.

Though…read moreit's under the same roof and all run by the city, a bad experience at one shouldn't affect the other. My kids attended 2 weeks summer swimming camp here. I don't know how much of a reflection it is on the centre since its seasonal work, but they probably had the best and most mature camp leaders they've had ever. Aside from that, a really nice facility with a very large pool and a fun big waterslide. I used the workout area one day, and though it wasn't massive, it was pretty good and I especially liked that they also had a number of fairly unique machines, such as self-propelling treadmills. But it wasn't just about the interior. Outside, there's a giant kids play structure, a splash pad, and even a small turf field - along with other things like basketball courts. They also have a covered area for a full sized rink, but it was useful during the summer camp as it was another activity area which being covered is a bonus during the summer heat. There's really nothing lacking here. FWIW, I did use the library once just for my own reading once. Nothing special about it, but nice enough and it wasn't as chaotic as others described. Hopefully they got better at managing noise since the last reviews.

Swimming lessons, party space rentals, practically any sport you can think of, a gym, and free equipment outside like a playground, basketball area, soccer field, e.t.c. The prices are dirt cheap, the library has free computers and nintendo switches for use, community events are hosted every day of the week, and during seasonal holidays they put up decoractions and have activities scattered around the place. I vividly remember the day before halloween where I entered the inflatable corn maze with my friends, thrashing around in there until the maze was noticeably shaking from the outside and we were asked to leave. Then we did it again a few hours later after visiting other activities and, most importantly, after the employees switched shifts. Gore has a snack bar which I've bought countless jamaican patties from, I've had a birthday party here, and I could never imagine my life without this place. The people who run it are innovative and kind, doing things like lighting up the basketball courts outside until 11pm, just because they know people play there. Visit this place immediately, you won't regret it. By the way, to book sport drop-ins, you can do it in person or online at cityofbrampton.perfectmind.com.

They have build up their kid's section since at beggining it was a small collection on second floor but now it's pretty decent. The organization of this library always did confuse me, half the non fiction was on main floor and other one section and even on second floor the layout confuses you. It goes around the edge to middle? Poor planning if you ask me. The main floor is composed of a few things, their main desk, circulation and reference. an open computer area, half the non fiction and fiction section as well a teen area. The teens seem to be a bit of an nuisance here but it seem like staff know but dont do much. They also have single use washroom, both mens and womens and vending machine. They are much better enforcing the quiet rule up there so it a good spot to study. The have washroom up here too, a galley like area where they may feature art and a meeting room for programs but it can double as study room when not in use. All in all, it's one of my favourite branches, the staff are pretty helpful thou I do find the security guard sometime rude but I heard he's been there for a while so I guess I just have put up with him. Atleast he does his job but he's too serious and rude at times.

While I did go through the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville, I would visit the Davis campus from time to time to cover events in my role as entertainment editor/writer for the Sheridan Sun newspaper. After many years away, I finally had the chance to revisit the campus for a conference, We Rise Together, which was organized to help young Black students in Peel. Revisiting the campus after so long away was quite surprising. It must just be me, but it seems as though the campus has greatly expanded. I don't recall seeing the "Dr. Rob Turner Building" before, nor do I remember all of the other satellite buildings around the core complex. Regardless, the campus is now a hive of activity. It's not just college students attending either - aside from the aforementioned conference, I saw a group of kids attending a spring workshop on LEGO. The conference itself was held in The Den, a bar/restaurant that's just steps away from the campus bus stop. Going in, I forgot how cavernous these spaces were. Both The Den and Connexion (at Trafalgar) have the feeling of a dark, moody place where you can hide away for hours if you so chose to. Overall, I was very impressed by the conference, which included a keynote speech from Supreme Court Justice Donald McLeod. He is an inspiring speaker, and his words are more relevant than ever, considering that Peel has a huge problem with the marginalization, latent racism and educational challenges facing young Black students in the region. It's well worth visiting this campus and seeing all that it has to offer. If not for the major programs and certificate courses, it's a beautiful campus to visit. But it's still the red-headed stepchild compared to Trafalgar and the behemoth that is the Mississauga City Centre campus.

They do however offer a variety of programs and courses which I like. They're fairly easy markers in my opinion. So if a good grade is what you're looking for then enroll in this college. They seem to always upgrade and renovate every year. I must admit the place keeps getting nicer. My favourite area will defantely have to be the computer lab since it's a great study place and open till 11pm on weekdays. Wi-fi is also provided if you're a current student. Overall I really like the school, but they need to find some professors who are better qualified. Sometimes I feel I'd be able to teach the class better than some of the teachers can.

I've got to say, I was very impressed with the nice and relaxing vibe this place gave off. This library is pretty great compared to the other libraries in the area. It's right across the street from Emily Carr Secondary School, but it's certainly not just for high school students. There are two giant floors - a lot of children and families on the bottom and a lot of high school/college/university students on the top. The reason for this is because the entire top floor is a silent study zone! Such an awesome place that gets you in the mood to actually read and write. The tables and cubicles have outlets attached, which is obviously convenient if you use your laptop, smart phone, or any other electronic device to study. The couches are super comfortable as well. They've also got some nice rooms with white boards available for booking if you are coming in with a group. In terms of the general library stuff, this place has a wide range of DVDs, books, magazines, and a computer and printing station. I'll certainly make my way back here sometime soon! Probably during exam season...
