This Service Ontario location is an oasis in a desert of terrible Service Ontario locations. It provides the same set of services as some of the other busy Service Ontario locations that I've visited in the past. However, it's much smaller and there's either no lineup or a short lineup. It's surprising given that it's in the middle of the financial district. I was able to get in and out in less than 10 minutes. read more

This location is closer to the downtown core and a lot smaller than the mega location at college park. This is fine in my book as this meant a quicker turnover and reasonable wait time (around 10 min) during off peak hours. Service was to the point which is fine as I was just renewing legal stuff. The services here are a bit limited so checking beforehand is recommended. Again they are just a service point which has been contracted out so I didn't expect much in the first place. read more

Feb 2019 - For 33 Victoria street, we went at 11 am, and we were in and out within 15 minutes, upgrading my teenagers OHIP Card from the childs card to an adults photo card. There were barely 5 people ahead of us in the line. Very good service. The notice on the wall says that this office cannot help those on a work permit or who have just landed as PR's to get their OHIP cards. But they can do everyone else. They can even do those PR's who are renewing their OHIP cards. This office just cannot process the very FIRST card applied for by PRs. Just thought I would add this explanation in. read more

I can't say enough about my experience at this location (which is very convenient if you work in the downtown core). I arrived around 10:15 am and was in and out in 10 minutes. The staff member that dealt with my license sticker renewal was friendly and efficient. You can't ask for better service. read more

I'm not really sure how one is supposed to review a Service Ontario location but I'll try (in brief). The location is both a blessing and a curse in that it's only about a ten minute walk from my office which means that it's only a ten minute walk from the offices of the other half million people who work downtown. So you do the math. I guess the good part of that is if you walk in and it's a zoo, it's not such a big deal to try back the next day. The staff is friendly and efficient enough, at least as much as is possible for government employees (or not...didn't they privatize all of these things? I forget). Anyways not sure if this "review" helps any. You need to get your Health Card renewed and it can't be done online yet, so what choice do you have if you work downtown and don't want to take half a day off or foolishly attempt to do it Thursday night or Saturday morning? Woohoo! This is the best Service Ontario location I have ever visited... Minimal line when I went in this morning (as opposed to the usual mile long lineup at other locations) . Staff here are super friendly, helpful, quick, efficient and accurate with their work. What more could one ask for. I try to specifically visit this location as its usually not as busy and the people tend to be younger and friendlier then the other two locations near my home. This time around I waited 1 hour. Then upon learning I missed two lines on my application I was sent back in the line to wait again. 30 minutes. Staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I never expect good service at any Service Ontario location but this was terrible even for them. read more

Recently came here to renew the health card - WOAH! I was impressed with their fast service and empty queue!! I've always gone to the College Park location on Bay street in the past for all my service ontario needs....and I wasted countless number of hours just waiting and then served by grumpy tired workers... From now on, I will walk extra to come to this location! So much better! read more

Stopped by after work last week (Thursdays they are open until 7) to renew my drivers license and I am a huge fan of this location. No lineups, fast service, and friendly agents. I was in and out of there in a few minutes. Very impressive for a Government agency! read more

Absolutely SHOCKING service. Had to go back here 4 TIMES to get my health card because the employees were so vague with their instructions. Every single time they would be so concerned with rushing me through the line that they wouldn't give clarity on what was required and then would say "this isn't right". The definition of unhelpful. Monkeys could have done a better job. Avoid this office if you can. I recommend staying away from this Service Ontario office. No joke. read more

33 Victoria Street Toronto. Got there a bit before it was scheduled to open and pleasantly surprised to see it was already open. Ten people in line in front of me but with three and then four wickets open by 9 a.m. it really moved quickly. I had to renew driver's licence, renew health card and get licence plate stickers. Thought it would take a while but breezed through in about 10 minutes. Staff person was really efficient. Owner was there and she took great pride in quality service. When I first called service Ontario a really polite lady picked up the call and answered my questions. I forgot to ask the last question so I called them again and a very rude lady picked it up. Since she did not understand my question she LITERALLY SAID 'U ARE VERY FUZZY WHEN YOU SPEAK' ( IN A RUDE TONE ). Her name is Sherald or something (forgot her name but I know it starts with 'She...' I guess it really depends on who the staff is. To 'She...' if you ever read this.. 'You are there to help people not scare them away.' read more

Don't visit this location. Staff are rude, give misinformation and don't respect clients that visit. Had to submit a formal complaint to the provincial office because staff wouldn't accept valid documents for health card renewal after three visits and bringing the requested different documents each time. Don't waste your time with this independent office and visit the larger head office location on Bay Street. The service doesn't even warrant a half star but am unable to post without adding one. read more

I was in at 9 on a Saturday morning, out by 9:04 to renew my health card. Granted, I got there about 10 minutes before open and was second in line, but that's what you do if you want to get it done fast. I don't get people complaining about customer service. Sure, the workers don't smile or engage in small talk, but why should they? You're at a government office processing paperwork, not at a Wendy's, you're not entitled to a smile and small talk, in fact, those things would make the system inefficient. These workers each process hundreds - if not a thousand - of these a day, often with very unreasonable people not following instructions, or are simply at the wrong office (passports are done at 74 Victoria), and we - as a society - want them to process paperwork, not waste time with friendly banter. read more

I dreaded going to get my sticker renewed due to the time it takes, but was pleasantly surprised this morning when I left my desk at 8:40am to go line up and was actually sitting back at my desk at 9am, sticker in hand! They opened up a bit earlier than 9, so by the time I got there at 8:45 there were only three people in front of me so it moved along quite quickly. Mine was a two minute job as I had everything prepared, so was in and out in no time. I do, however, recommend renewing your sticker on-line if you don't have to do your emissions testing, much easier all round. read more

Visiting this office on Feb.4th about 9:30 A.M. was a positive experience. A lady at the second window handled my request for renewal efficiently and with good cheer. The process was completed in less than 20 minutes and I was out of there. Came to renew my driver's licence to this location (very close to King station) around 3:30pm. Since the location is close to my work. I decided to come for a break. Waiting is about 5 mins. The service is fast and simple. Even though there were 4 people in front of me in the line up. The wait was not long. The people on the desk are about 3. I'm glad I came to this location. I recommend this if you want fast service and less wait. read more
