Stopped by and tried the lunch buffet for the first time. Unfortunately, it fell well short of my expectations. The various entrée selections didn't look visually appealing and the flavor profile from those dishes I tried missed the mark. The ribs were overcooked and dry as was the chicken marsala. I did find the Tri-Tip juicy but it was a bit tough. My server was great. She was very attentive and ensured my water glass remained full throughout my meal. Her personality was conducive to providing good customer service. I'm told the dinner buffet is better than the lunch offering more entree selections. One buffet server Christina Edward's always makes a point to come by and greet even when she is not stationed for my table or area. Came here in a Sunday for the Italian Steak dinner. The Italian steak was precookied New York steak with mushroom sauce. The steak had tendons so was difficult to chew. I also had the corn in the cob, roasted cauliflower, and salad. The roasted cauliflower were flavorful and cooked just right. The corn on the cob and salad were mediocre. First time at this buffet and we went during the seafood extravaganza. The wait time wasn't too long and we were seated fairly quickly. I would like to shoutout Rina who was our waitress and she really elevated our experience. She went above and beyond in terms of service like always clearing our table, refilling our drinks, and being very attentive to our needs. I really enjoy going to the casino on Thursdays for the Buffet my guy Dion omg what can I say such an amazing person I love his smile and to top it off he is the one and only best omelette making they have in there! Went to Serrano buffet inside the Yamavva casino. Late Mother's Day gift to my mom. She loves lobster as do I. They only take reservations online a week ahead for the Wednesday and Thursday lobster dinner buffet. Dinner buffet starts at 4pm-10pm. It's about $70 per person. We had our reservation scheduled for 4:15pm on Thursday . It took us about 2.5 hrs to get to highland,ca from Long Beach. So please plan accordingly due to traffic. I'm glad we got the earlier reservation because even though it was at 4:15. The line to check in for the buffet was out the door like crazy. We didn't get seated until 5pm. From then you have 90 minutes. The lobster was delicious!!! You get two lobster tails option to dip in butter and one whole lobster per person each time you go up. But it's still unlimited! Prime rib was good, red bean sesame balls, and the ice cream gelato. Everything else was mediocre. But I will gladly pay $70 for all you can eat lobster that was cooked to perfection! It was chaotic at first, finding parking, walking the long pathway into the casino and then heading downstairs to find the buffet and then waiting in the long line. Worth it! Plan accordingly so you don't get overwhelmed by the whole process like I did. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was typical buffet. read more

Was suddenly craving lobster tails, so my husband made reservations for us this week for their all-you-can-eat lobster buffet for Thursday (the lobster buffet is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays). Our reservations were for 7:30p. We got in line at 7:15p and were seated around 7:45p. I typically have little patience with having to wait for more than 15 minutes when I have reservations, but I believe the staff did a good job of checking in people in line, having 4 friendly employees handle payments, and then having multiple hostesses bringing groups to their tables. They were very efficient, organized, and friendly which made the extra wait time very tolerable. The main reason why we drove out 35 miles to Yaamava though was for the lobster - and there is where I found it lacking. The lobster tails were very dry and the claws on the whole lobsters hardly had any meat. I do realize that this is an AYCE buffet, and I should not be expecting Michelin star quality food, but as the main highlight of the buffet, it was just a disappointment. One thing positive I would have to say though is that they didn't restrict how many lobster tails you can request at each trip. I saw people carry plates with foot high mounds of lobster tails! So where they lacked in quality, they certainly tried to make up in quantity! They had a couple of cook to order stations that looked interesting (stir fry) but I didn't try them. Their dessert section is typical of what you would find in a Vegas buffet - a sugar-free desserts section, a manned ice-cream station, and a decent selection of sliced cakes, brownies, and cookies. I'm a sucker for chocolate cake and picked up a slice. I found it to be too heavy on the whipped frosting and too sweet for my taste. The winner for me at the buffet though was their dim sum section. It was actually really good! I had 2 of their steamed custard buns and sesame balls that satisfied my sweet tooth in a way that their dessert bar could not. I wish they had more dim sum. Maybe pork siu mai and shrimp har gow? Then again, I really shouldn't be going to an AYCE buffet to be eating dim sum! The service made up for any deficiencies in food quality though - We always had our used plates promptly removed from the table, and our drink glasses were always refilled. Because of the service, I would rate the buffet a solid 3-stars. read more

The wait was approximately 45 minutes to get in but the staff was very accommodating with getting us seated. The buffet however was quite lackluster. The crawfish was small and low quality, there was not much meat at all and they were mushy. I also expected more from the overall buffet, it seems like a Chinese buffet that has crab legs.
