This place was super cute and very spacious, their menu has an incredible selection of items to choose from. I recommend the crispy chicken bites. With so many options to choose from, I will have to go back and try more items. I enjoyed the fried rice which had a nice savory flavor and a lot of vegetables. I will say the soup dumplings were a letdown for me, they stuck to the pan so the soupy liquid ran out quickly. And I will say that the soup dumplings were chicken and it tasted like boiled chicken, which is not my favorite thing to taste. I only got takeout, and it was pretty good! I definitely wanna try the sit down in person version. So why did three stars? Well, at least for eating at home and the packaging, there were some issues in terms of quality at Mimi left wanting. We got the pork and shrimp shumai, "shrimp noodle roll" (cheung fun), pork chashu bun, pork spare ribs, hot and sour soup and special fried noodles delivered. Since the restaurant was less than a mile away, the food all arrived quickly, well packaged and piping hot. The Bad: The shrimp siu mai was the most disappointing. It had a very VERY fishy smell that taste almost rotten. I could only eat a few pieces as I felt like I was eating rotting fish sourced from a garbage can found behind the restaurant. Next, the spare ribs were also a disappointment. There was a weird sort of grainy breading texture around the meat and that is all I could taste. What is more, since the ribs come in a sauce (which is usually a black bean and spicy sauce rather than the oily broth this one came in), the it was like mushy grainy breading that fell apart and unappealing to the palate. Also, the special fried noodles were little more than mei fun with more vegetables and meat than noodles. Not impressed. Not sure what was "special" about it. The GOOD!: The cheung fun (shrimp rice noodle roll) was surprisingly better than I had anticipated. Not over-doughy or thick, the wrapping was a good and thin rice noodle encasing a generous amount of shrimp. The sauce was more than plentiful and the only complaint I had was that the shrimp slipped right out of roll! Also found the chashu delish. Lightl, fluffy dough and plenty of bbqed and decadent pork. Nummy nummy! The hot and sour soup was also some of the best I have had in Miami. I know that sounds silly, but I have unfortunately had a lot of "hot and sour soup" that tasted NOTHING like hot and sour soup; but Serious Sanji definitely has the correct version! Next time, I will try in the restaurant and definitely the pork sanji. Also am interested in trying their bubble tea! read more

The only reason we're giving four stars instead of five is because of the service. The staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow and could have been more attentive. It wasn't a bad experience by any means, just an area that could be improved. The food, however, was delicious. Our favorite dish was definitely the sizzling beef plate. Once everything is mixed together, the flavors come together beautifully and are absolutely incredible. It was easily the standout of the meal. Great little spot with plenty of parking in the plaza. Cutest little dumpling guy on the outside and inside for pictures. Food was delicious and huge portions. Was a fan of the angel hair noodles in the stir fry and food was ready minutes after placing order. Our server Nicole was on top of her game and thankfully we had her as our waitress, she was amazing. After observing around the restaurant it was noted that a lot of the other servers were very young and other tables would have to call on them often for attention. My wife and I heard of this place from social media, so we wanted to give this place a try since it looked really good. The place did not disappoint. Every single dish had good flavor. The spring rolls were the crunchiest I've ever had, really good. The soup dumplings were flavorful, and when mixed with the sauces elevated it even further. Their pork sanji was full of pork and the bread it's in compliments it perfectly. I really enjoyed every dish! Our server was kind. We got our orders quick, but she kind of forgot about us. This restaurant opened a few months ago near my house and I had been wanting to check it out. I went on a random Saturday afternoon, luckily it was not too packed and we were sat within 5 minutes. There is ample seating. We ordered a few items such as the pork dumplings, scallion pancakes and noodle soup. All of the items were great and came very quick via a robot server (kids will love this). The honey chicken was extremely overcooked and completely fried.. I would not recommend. The pork sui mai and wonton soup were great as well as the soup dumplings. The soup dumplings were soft and silky. The servers were quite slow unfortunately, and there was an extremely long wait for a Sunday at 7pm when most tables were open in the restaurant. After being seated, it took another 30 minutes before an employee came over to take our order. We were given complimentary water, and our crab wontons came out first, but after that the timing of everything was very unorganized. We had ordered soup dumplings and sanji as appetizers, so we expected those to come out before our entrees. Instead, our entrees arrived first. We also ordered boba drinks and could see them sitting near the front waiting to be brought over, but we didn't receive them until about 15-20 minutes after our entrees had already arrived. Our soup dumplings and sanji didn't come out until another 15-20 minutes later, after we had already finished eating our main meals. The food itself was enjoyable, but the service and timing were disappointing. Between the much longer wait to be seated, the delay in having our order taken, drinks sitting before being delivered, and appetizers arriving after we had finished our entrees, the overall experience felt very disorganized. I ordered the pork soup dumplings and ended up with cold bone broth with BONE dumplings. The first dumpling I had was cold, which is odd for a soup dumpling because in order for soup to be soup, it needs to be hot. I tried giving the second one a chance, but that was until I bit into a piece of bone/cartilage that invaded my mouth. I was outright disgusted. My friend was also excited for this place and she ended up swallowing the bone/cartilage. It was straight up disgusting. Alongside we ordered the sizzling plate with rice and their classic sauce but that was... decent. Thankfully the service was great and the manager understood our issue and we were issued a refund on the soup dumplings. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The rice was dry - not fluffy as in most Asian restaurants. How is the rice subpar in an ASIAN restaurant? I returned it because I couldn't get past the first bite. Ordered chicken skewers (thigh meat). I couldn't tell if it was fried or oven baked. It was gummy (hoping it was actually chicken and not synthetic meat) and sprinkled with cumin. Wtf sprinkles cumin?!? My daughter's soup dumplings were meh. I tried them and the pork was also questionable. The edamame was ok. I mean you pick 'em and steam them. It's not rocket science. The shrimp shu mai was also ok. I buy the same ones at my local Asian market. Lastly, the cucumber salad was also meh. Simple but one of the edible items on the table.
