Tuesday 4:30pm Party of 2 We tried coming on Cinco de Mayo but there was an hour wait for dinner so we didn't stay. Back on 5-7 and we were seated immediately. Our order was taken and food brought out quickly. I ordered the vegetables and they were delicious! The spices used were excellent. Ordered refried bean, also delicious and flour tortillas. The waitress let me know that tortillas are free so just let her know if I wanted more and she would bring them. Hubby enjoyed his nachos! Yummy jalapenos and the perfect amount of cheese. Go here for some delicious Mexican food. The staff is on top of things, professional & friendly. The parking lot is large, the restaurant has a good number of tables & a nice bar area. The nachos are the best we found in the area & the large "resorts" could learn a few things from the menu at this restaurant. Enjoy! read more

I've ordered enchiladas to go twice and both times they barely had any chicken in them and just looked very unappealing. Sergio's was great when it first opened. The food was reminiscent of Frida's which was a family favorite. Can't say that I'll be back and I feel bad because I wanted to support the restaurant. read more

This was our first stop after arriving to Maui as it was close to our hotel and we saw that it had good reviews. The ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly. However, the food was definitely not authentic but maybe that's to be expected here in Maui? I wouldn't come back here again BUT I do want to note that the rest of my party did like the food. read more

Sergio Cantina is solid. They mention it's the same chef as Frida's, and you can definitely see the influence--but in a good way. Sometimes Frida's food can feel a bit Americanized; here, it tasted more authentic. I ordered the short rib enchiladas and highly recommend them--great flavor and cooked perfectly. The salsa was also very good, especially a unique orange salsa that really stood out. The Spanish rice was on point too; it tasted like real, authentic Mexican-style rice, not generic. Service was good, food was excellent, and overall it was a very positive experience. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back and have already added this place to our must-visit list every time we're on the island. read more

I saw this place in Yelp and it was very close to the Hilton where we stayed. What caught my eye was the refried beans and I had a craving for it. The restaurant was nice inside with friendly staff that came by often. The food itself was "Meh." I doubt the cooks were Mexicans because it wasn't the Mexican food like at home where the majority of the people eating were Hispanic too. Chips and salsa aren't complementary either. I wouldn't really recommend unless you're really craving Mexican. read more

The server we had was a sweet heart, super kind and friendly to us. We ordered margaritas which took about 20 minutes to come out (which they were busy) and were delicious. On the other hand the salsa was orange and almost tasted like a chili sauce and we ordered a side of cheese sauce and it was almost like a sour cream texture and not much taste to it. We didn't order food after looking at the stuff we ordered. Would probably come here just for drinks, not the food. read more

Sergio's Cantina Maui was fantastic. The flautas were crispy, flavorful, and really satisfying. The lava flows were also excellent and made the whole meal feel even more like a perfect Maui stop. The Sergio's Grande Burrito was absolutely wonderful, huge, packed with flavor, and an amazing deal for the price. In Maui, it felt like an especially great value with generous portions and quality food all around. Definitely a place worth coming back to. read more

Cute little Mexican restaurant with amazing tasting food! It's a smaller restaurant so you may have to wait for a small amount of time to be seated. The service is quick and the drinks are fantastic! I had to smoked mango margarita. Our waitress was quite lovely! I had the taco salad with the chicken... So good! And my husband had the enchilada plate with steak. The food and service were good but it is a little pricey. Our combination burrito was over $27.00 but it was good and filling. They also charge for the first order of chips and salsa but the refill them for free. We also tried the Chocolate Tres Leches Cake. I prefer a traditional chocolate cake but if you are a fan of tres leches cake, you should try it. If you're hankering for Mexican food while in Maui, I would recommend Sergio's. read more

Green, green, green! Nothing pleases me more than a standard salad that includes fresh vibrant romaine. The chicken was savory and seasoned with a nice lil cumin kick to make it say "mexican" salad. Mexican didn't sound like the right place because we're in Maui. But we found Sergio's was incredibly good. The chili relleno was outstanding... And Lisa had, Sergio's plate. it was fajitas that were cut up in the little cubes. The beans were outstanding... So good. We're probably going to eat here again this week. Our waitress was fantastic. I wish we had gotten her name... Ashley, maybe? Anyway... Highly recommend these guys. We've only had a couple meals on the island so far that we've enjoyed and this was definitely one of them. read more

Let's see, how can I put this experience?! Fantastic comes to mind. Worth all 5 stars!!! Arrived around 4:00 pm. A good amount of diners enjoying their meals, plenty of seating at that time. A very nice restaurant, inside & out. Drink menu is EXTENSIVE & I went with the Margaritas. Chips & Salsa came & were fresh & that salsa was amazing. Not too spicy & a nice thick consistency. The server was super friendly, answered questions & was funny. He was giving us great vibes to enjoy our time. Food- YES! First of all I'm from Orange County California and know Mexican food very well. This is not even close to authentic Mexican food. This restaurant wouldn't last a month in California. I ordered the steak and carnitas platter. 1. The rice was as bland as could be with no seasoning. 2. The beans came straight out of a can. 3. The tablespoon of carnitas in the taco was not good either. 4. The steak taco had square pieces of steak that looked like it came from a can. Steak tacos or carne asada as they are called are not square. They should be small strips of tender steak which these were not. I understand I'm not in an area that's abundant with Mexican food, and am willing to pay a higher than usual price, but this is truly HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I hate to say it but if you want Mexican food DONT GO HERE. read more

We ordered dinner at 7:30pm (server left the order ticket on our dish) and it came out at 7:34 pm. It was guacamole & chips and a short rib burrito. Chips & salsa understandable but a burrito in 4 minutes is faster than chipotle & Pancheros!!!! It was cold, we complained to the server, she told her manager but nobody addressed our complaints?!? TOURIST TRAP!! Better off at Chipotle! DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU ENJOY PAYING TOP DOLLAR FOR FAST FOOD!! read more

Very good mexican restaurant near our resort. The food was as amazing as the service. Everyone working there deserves praise. Our waitress (wish I got her name) was incredible. My wife is currently pregnant and they talked as if they have known each other for years. And she even had my toddler helping her printing out the check and bringing it to the table (he loved it) and the food was very very good. What a wonderful place. Mexican food on Maui? Saw the great reviews and decided to try it out. Located in a strip mall and close to many hotels, the location is convenient. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The food is average - not really authentic Mexican but definitely some version of it. We started with the spicy smokey mango margarita - it is definitely both. Perhaps a bit too smoky for me. The grande nachos - a large portion of chips, choice of beans, guacamole, sour cream, pickled jalapeño, and lots of cheese - a very shareable plate. It was good as far as nachos go. I went with the chile Ellen and my friend ordered the cheese enchiladas. Entrees come with rice and choice of black or refried pinto beans. The sauce on both seemed to the same. It was ok - no real discernible flavor. The rice was tasty and well cooked. The beans were also ok - would recommend the black over the refried beans. read more

The food and drinks were amazing! I just ordered an appetizer for my meal and the portion was huge. My husband ordered a burrito, and he could barely finish it! The chips and salsa were not free like at other mexican restaurants, but that was not a problem. The salsa was great! And the bartender made a great margarita! We went to Sergios for dinner about a week ago. We love the casual atmosphere and the Latin American cuisine. Service is prompt and courteous. It's a short walk from our condo, but there is plenty of free parking near Sergios. Some local friends told us about it a couple of years ago and they were right! Looking for a restaurant on our last day on Maui. I looked on Yelp and found Sergio's. The reviews were right! This place is amazing. First off, the Cadillac margaritas were the bomb !!!Previous Yelp reviews raved about the Pina Coladas - they were also the bomb. We are from San Diego and go to A LOT of Mexican food places and this one was the best we had (even after many many trips to Mexico) . I had the chicken flautas - BEST EVER. We were baffled: "We haven't received any food or drinks yet." Another 10 minutes later, he showed up again, apologized and said the restaurant's manager had said their order-entry system had gone down and that our order would be one of the first to go in w/the tech running again. Then another 25 minutes passed, other tables got their food, and we sat empty-handed. Two of our party finally complained to multiple staff; our waiter said to calm down and that our food would be ready in another 10 minutes (seriously?); and very soon thereafter, our food finally arrived. No apologies from the restaurant, no follow-up on why the order took another half-hour after their system was allegedly running again, no sign of our appetizers or wine. We were OK w/those last details because after waiting more than an hour, we were ready to leave. Our order finally arrived more than an hour after we had placed it, and the food was fine. After the meal, I asked three employees if I could speak with the manager; each was evasive or said he's hard to reach. Finally, our waiter claimed (no idea whether this is true) that they had no more kitchen staff, the owner was cooking all the food, and the restaurant was due to close in the next few days. That was in late December 2025, so if Kitchen 5315 is still open in 2026, save yourself the misery and avoid this restaurant!
