I called around 9:30, asked for availability, and they were able to take me at 12:30. I wish I remembered his name. When I got in, I filled out the form, and was greeted by my masseuse, who I think was named Evelyn. I am sometimes skeptical when smaller masseuses do deep tissue but Evelyn really got to the knots. I was trying to fight sleep the whole massage. When I go back, I will definitely ask for her again! When I got out of the massage, I had water and a coupon to the Cakeroom bakery waiting for me. This was such a nice treat and an amazing way to enter year 29. Thank you Wat Massage, I'll definitely be back!

I knew I needed to get a massage, but I've tried a few places in Capitol Hill previously and the massages were not great. Thus, I expanded my search bubble and found Unwind AdMo, and I'm glad I did!!! Nina gave me the best massage I've ever had - her technique was amazing, I was never uncomfortable, she focused on the right spots to get those tight knots out, and she made me feel very comfortable. Pricing was right on par for DC too. I will always come to Unwind Wellness now - even though it's ~40 minutes by metro/walking away, compared to some local spots I could be at in 5 minutes. I'm even nervous to try their Unwind Navy Yard location...because I only want massages from Nina, she's that good.

If you're looking for massage therapists who actually do real work, this is the place. I've seen both Helen and Heajin, and they are exceptional in different but complementary ways. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she's effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It's therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home, and clearly cares about long-term wellbeing, not just the session itself. One thing to note: at Unwind, therapists may get on the table with you, especially for Thai or deep tissue work. That's part of the technique and something to be aware of if you're new to that style, but for me it speaks to how seriously they take proper body mechanics and effectiveness. The space is calm, professional, and welcoming, and the level of skill here is outstanding. If you want thoughtful, strong, therapeutic massage from practitioners who really know the body, I highly recommend Unwind.

I booked a quickie 30-minute session right at Unwind's opening time, and Anna double-checked that I didn't need to finish by a specific time -- I work remotely, so no issues there, but I love the consideration. Our session never felt rushed, and it was the perfect length to address the specific sore spot I was dealing with on my back. It's difficult to find a massage-focused spot that offers 30-minute sessions in the first place, so the $70 (plus tip) was WELL worth it at Unwind!

But, I have this place in my back pocket now for all future relaxing moments. I was able to book an appointment online a few hours prior. I opted for a 60 min foot massage. Come to find out they are right nextdoor to my favorite bakery, Baked and Wired! I never noticed this in all the years. I walked in and the setting was peaceful. I filled out my forms online ahead time. That really sped up the check in process. Once checked in my tech came to get me. Once in the room my tech explained everything and talked about my needs etc. Listen he did an amazing job. If you can get me to relax enough to make it sound like I need a CPAP or if my "pain" goes away, you did a fantabulous job! T. Smith my tech, thank you I will return! My total with tip was just under $200. It was $75 for a 30 min foot massage and $75 for a reflexology foot massage. Well worth it all.
