I hate to do this because I truly love Sephora, but today the manager was quite rude in that she was inattentive to me. I had a 10 a.m. appointment to get my make-up done for free (ok I know it was complimentary and the mall was just opening its doors) and I came in and told her I had an appointment, but she was not nice. I kept asking her questions because I'd forgotten my VIB card for the complimentary 45 min. Makeover at home, but she just didn't respond to them! Honestly, it was like I want even there. Did she hear me? Not sure, but she ignored me. The next lady I asked and Dannie, who did my makeup, were absolutely wonderful! AWFUL!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE at The Temecula Store and RETURN POLICY EVER!!! I purchased an item at The Fashion Valley Sephora, Great Customer Service by the way. The person who was assisting me at the register was Great. We spoke about two different eye creams I had brought two up to the register. It was Saturday so they were pretty busy. I had decided on one. Once I had left the store, gotten in my car and had drove off, I looked in the bag, I realized he rang up the wrong one. I called immediately and actually spoke to the associate who help me. They were very apologetic. No problem, come back. We will exchange it! Unfortunately I live in Murrieta. Soooo on Sunday I go into my lovely, completely unprofessional, rude store in Temecula. Keep in mind, it has not even been 24 hours since I've purchased the $75.00 Eye-cream. This review is a couple of weeks old. I came in to the store to have my makeup done. I made the appointment online. I arrived at the store a little early. The makeup artist who was scheduled to help me was not there yet. After waiting just a few minutes, they got someone else to help me which was great. I wasn't sitting around waiting on them. Monette was my makeup artist. She was fantastic. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a great look! She did eyebrows, lashes ... she did it all. I was very happy with the finished result. She used a Nars foundation on me that I absolutely loved. The color was a perfect match and has nice coverage without looking too made up. It's my new go to! read more

THIS SEPHORA HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! As soon as we walked in, my friends and I noticed an associate wearing the color lipstick that we were looking for. Not only did she tell us the color, but my friend was able to get into the "hot seat: and get a little mini makeover. In a matter of minutes she was transformed! We were all so impressed that we were drawn in and were immediately sold . . . all of us wanted that same color lipstick! We weren't too sure about spending so much money on a bronzer moisturizer so we were able to get samples to try out. Associates were all very friendly and this spot is in a great location. Came here yesterday to help a friend find makeup , Christine I think was her name , was extremely helpful in helping us find the right shade and giving feedback on what worked best for her skin type. She was awesome ! However , this lady with reddish hair , whom I believe was the manager ,kept following us around the whole store watching us like a hawk thinking we were going to steal something. It was extremely uncomfortable and rude in my opinion. We were in the store for a little more than 2 hours and where ever we went she was there pretending to clean her makeup brushes. She even got other SA in the store watching us for no reason , it was the most uncomfortable experience ever ! Can I give it zero stars? I just went in to do a return and they denied it. They said it's because Ive exchanged a product once before and I've only had ONE exchange and it was for $40. I am friends with people from Sephora and they have even said to me a $500 return/exchange policy. They were very rude to me about it and didn't try to work with me at all. The samples are usually really dirty looking. Can't they be wiped up a few times a day. Yuck! They look quite unsanitary! I went in with a hearty budget wanting to re-invent and update my makeup supply. I asked for help with eyeshadow. I told the girl that I needed a look to wear that was conservative and office-appropriate. She keep trying heavy, dark, club-appropriate eye makeup on me. What?! Especially weird considering my age! It's seriously so hard to find someone that is willing to help you and when they actually do help you, they don't even know half of the things about the products that you're interested in. I love this store but it's always really crowded on friday nights and weekends. Going during the day is much better. And can we say expensive!!! Ugh I know that's not Sephora's fault. I love all Sephoras and have been to quite a few. This particular one sticks out to me because of its excellent customer service. I come in here quite frequently because I love makeup and skincare. I've been in during busy days and slower days. Each time I have been treated in a friendly and professional manner. They always have the best suggestions for what I'm looking for, and take the time to give me samples of things I'm not quite sure I want to buy yet. They handle returns and exchanges very easily with no fuss and they do all of it with a smile. Don't bother with Macy's or the Mac store at the Promenade. At Macys, the reps just want to sell you their brand, and Mac is just ok and obviously you're just limited to Mac makeup. The employees at Sephora don't have any particular brand affiliation so their suggestions are unbiased. Run don't walk! read more

Holy Makeup Heaven! I'm a Beauty Insider and I like to make use of my benefits (lol), so I tend to make this a regular stop of mine whenever I'm at the mall. Staff is friendly and helpful and never overbearing. That's a relief, compared to other makeup counters, like at Macy's, etc. Brands I've purchased here at this location are Philosophy, Smashbox, Urban Decay, OPI, Tarte, Clinique, Lancome and L'Occitane. I love sephora so it's hard to dampen my viewpoint on the store. This particular store is nice because they usually always have everything I ever need in stock. Not every sephora can boast this fact. It does get extremely busy so you have to frequently navigate around other excited shoppers. The sales associates are very attentive, almost too attentive. Whenever I used to shop at this location I always felt a little out of place- never greeted, never helped, everyone always seemed way to busy to help me- even though I was ALWAYS planning on buying either a full new makeup routine or large amount of products. Maybe it's the way I dress, but I dress comfortably rather than my 'pay-grade'. When I walked in this time (Tuesday the 3rd of November, 2015) it was entirely different. I was greeted warmly, and asked if I needed help multiple times as I was browsing the store. At one point, I decided that I really was over my head for what I came in for that day and took one of the Sales Associates up on their offer of help. This lovely associate was Maria. She was extremely nice and very willing to help me. I asked for help with a new skincare routine- and by new I mean my first ever (I have never done skincare for myself, and it was about time!). She was extremely knowledgeable, and took me to the Skin IQ screen where we browsed some products, looked at the ingredients, and talked about what they did and how good they were for you. She helped me find great holiday deals and every product I needed, helping me sample them on the back of my hand to feel their effectiveness. Simply amazing products, and I wasn't overwhelmed at all. She explained things very well. After we picked out a whole routine for me- cleanser, moisturizer, lip care, body scrub, mask, and toner- she helped me with my Color IQ. She asked if I wanted to try on the foundation- and if it was alright to remove my current makeup, which I said yes to, and she very carefully did so using the samples of the products I had picked out with her a moment earlier. She tested 3 different foundation colors on me, using the Color IQ for the starter color, which turned out to be 3 shades too dark/different/off-tone! But we eventually found the PERFECT foundation color for me- and it was amazing. Never before have I had a foundation so closely matched to my skin color, and the difference was astounding. She then proceeded to do some light contouring which I had on previously- and showing me how the toner could be used as a sort of staying spray (since I have dry skin and have previously used translucent powder to hold my makeup together). Just -WOW-! Great service, I left feeling amazing, and I continue to feel great a day after, being able to accomplish the same look she showed me, and feeling amazing after my new skincare routine (and smelling great!). I will definitely be returning again, and I will be definitely be looking for her specifically! read more

The salespeople are very overbearing to the point of being harass-y. If one lady goes away, another one pops up two seconds later. Be warned- If you're male and getting makeup you'll most likely be called female by at least one of them. The only good thing about the workers is that they'll at least apply makeup quickly and decently enough for you to check it out before buying. Unfortunately the samples are very dirty and appear to be uncleaned. They've even let kids wander around actually touching everything. Oh, and make sure you come in with any coupons- their wireless internet doesn't ever work, and they almost never are nice enough to provide you with one themselves. read more

***Best Customer Service I went to the Mall to get some new makeup, I had every intention of going into MAC to purchase makeup. I went to MAC there was one girl working and she kept telling everyone I'll be right with you. After standing around for 5 minutes, very dissatisfied my girlfriend and I left, heading to Sephora. I came in looking for new foundation. I had been using makeup from target and I had been breaking out from it. On top of that I have also have had extremely dry skin lately. I came in and told Amanda about my problems. She asked me what I wanted from a foundation and that I should start with a better moisturizer. She then and proceeded to grab Bailey. She told Bailey exactly what I was looking for and Bailey responded, "easy!". Bailey then sat me down at the vanity and went to work, she made me take off my face makeup, then matched my skin color making sure it was perfect. She then continued to do all my face makeup, bronzer a little blush and some highlights. I was amazed, she did such an awesome job. Numerous associates came over and complimented me and the awesome work Bailey did on my face. She then wrote down all the products she used on my face for me. So I could purchase them if I chose to. She also gave me a sample of an awesome moisturizer which I have used and have already seen a massive difference. I was never pressured into buying anything although I did purchase the foundation. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. I live in Orange County and always go to the Sephora at South Coast plaza. Since I was in the area today I decided to stop here to see if the have a compact I use that South Coast NEVER has in stock. I stopped in there 3 times already and they were always out it. I'm getting married so I came here for a makeover. They offer the makeovers for "free" with purchase of at least $50 worth of product. It's actually a super great deal! If you go for wedding makeup, I'd highly recommend asking for Becca. She did such a great job on my makeup and she took her time! She went over my allotted hour (or 45 min?) that you're supposed to get with the makeup artist. I am doing my own makeup on my big day and she was so patient and helpful in explaining how I could recreate everything she did.
