This Ulta located off Newport, is clean and has a wide variety of make up and accessories. I love that they have samples for you to try. They provide the clean, new sponge, brush or cotton pad. Every staff member seems ready to sell you something or give you a makeover. Their prices aren't bad either. It's a fun place to browse on a lazy weekend. read more

My daughter and I have been going here for brows for years. Lately the service has gone way down. They care more about sign ups for rewards or cards than giving you a good experience. There's no conversation, they're short and in a hurry to get you finished and out. The job they do isn't what it used to be. Overly thinned brows and today a lot of stray hairs. I said thank you when she was done, her response was "yep". The ladies at the front checking you out also don't talk other than to push you on opening a card. Today, a middle aged woman was on her walkie talking about how many signups she got and didn't say anything to me other than do I want to open an account. When I said not today, she didn't say another word to me. I'd rather pay a little more and go somewhere with better customer service and quality. read more

First time haircut and tensil installation for my 7 yr old daughter booked and confirmed appointment for 3pm she was super excited arrived early waited to then be told she was still working on another client and wouldn't be available after 4:30 maybe said another stylist could do one of the services after 5 that is ridiculous super disappointed i walked out and every location around was booked so thank you Ulta for ruining my daughter's first experience Stylist: Abby read more

No complaints. Great for easy order pick up! Decent selection in store as well. Friendly staff.

I rarely get my hair done so it's something I look forward to every year. I get the same refresh done. A really bright ashy platinum ombré. It lasts the full year until I get it redone. I use the same reference photos every time and always end up satisfied. I guess agreeing with the stylist, Shelbee, that it should feel lived in was my mistake, because it doesn't even feel like I got my hair done. It looks slightly toned after sitting for hours to get full highlight foils put in with my hair being tugged around. I have kids pulling on my hair all day so I can typically stand this, but I imagine others with more sensitive scalps would find this service uncomfortable. After the developer (a 10 volume was used because I said my hair lifts quickly), I could tell when it was washed out my hair haded lifted enough. It was still very dark. Typically a volume 20 is what's used for me but I didn't know until after that's what was done. When it was all done it felt toned which was nice, but nothing like we had discussed (but maybe that's her saying "lived in" to cover up any flaws and considers a tone when paying for a full highlight). She told me it looks dark but will lighten up in the shower. I'm really uncomfortable with confrontation so I said I liked it and left. After 7 days of me trying to tell myself it's okay, people hadn't even noticed I lightened my hair. It looks like a slightly toned dirty blonde and does feel "lived in" like I've lived in it for a year and haven't had my hair done. I called ulta within the 10 day window to tell them I'd like it redone. I was told by Shelbee that she believe she did what we discussed even after resending her the reference and after photos she thinks they look the same? I have no idea but I'd have to pay to have my hair redone after spending $200 on a full highlight. Would not recommend. read more

Always out of product, sale associates are very helpful. Better to order online. Low stock

The Salon services are hit or miss. Some of the stylists are always late or running late. I had an appointment with Daisy, Master Stylist.... I arrived 15 minutes early. Never met her, I checked in and was given an opportunity to sit & wait. This was @10:00 am. My appointment was for 10:15 am. I wasn't told she was already there. She was working on a client. At 10:30, I asked if she was running late to work? The stylist walked over to Daisy, I had no idea she was with a client!. I was told that she would get to me when she is done. I asked how much longer? I was told "maybe 10 minutes?" I feel that Daisy should have approached me upon arriving and informed me she was with another client and extend the courtesy of letting me know she was running a little late. I refused to wait another "maybe 10 minutes?" or longer. I thanked Lupita, stylist who checked me in that I was leaving and would reschedule with someone else. read more

No clue how I've never left a review for here before! The parking lot is a huge con as it's always so packed and crazy. I have never been greeted walking into this location, nor have I ever been offered help by the dozens of employees on the floor, 0 stars for them. Today I came in prematurely for an online order pick up, maybe 1.5 hours after I placed it. It wasn't ready, but all it was was a single hand sanitizer. The girl at the register got all flustered when I asked her and she told me it took 2 hours for pick up and she could go check. I had brought another one to the register ready to check out and just cancel my online order, but Bryanna stepped in to save the day. She then processed my order right there and then assisted with the rest of my items I was checking out. 100 stars for BRYANNA! I wish every employee in this store was as friendly, knowledgeable and as helpful as her! read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Ulta Salon. I originally scheduled an appointment for Friday and confirmed the time ahead of my visit. When I arrived, I was told the stylist was running an hour behind and that they had supposedly called me. I never received a call or voicemail. They rescheduled me for today, and after taking the time to come back in again, I was told the stylist had called out and they could not offer any solution or accommodation. The only thing offered was a 30% off coupon, which is frustrating because I can't even get in with a stylist to use it. After two wasted trips, poor communication, and no real effort to resolve the issue, this experience felt very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. I expected much better customer service from Ulta Salon. read more

Terrible customer service. I stood there for 30 minutes waiting for someone to check the back and then they completely ignored I was even there. Ridiculous I'm sorry. I asked another worker and she was great but they obviously have terrible communication amongst the employees. read more

I feel compelled to write another 5 star review. I cannot be more obsessed with my hair. I've been coming to see Alondra, for some time now. The last 2 times she and her amazing assistant Alicia took good care of me. Those two together are the dream team! I recently did a big change and Alondra got the color exactly how I wanted it! I went from blonde to a deep plum. I couldn't be more happier! I'd also like to mention that my hair is never damaged and super healthy! read more

I went to this Ulta yesterday. A few different workers approached me asking if I needed assistance or if I was looking for anything specific. I replied that I was just browsing. Most of them let me continue browsing in peace. While I was in the HAIR section of the store, a worker didn't ask me if I needed help, but gave me a measured look and IMMEDIATELY asked if I use a vitamin C serum. I told her I did not. She replied "you really should, it will help with your skin texture. You had acne, right?" I was so insulted! How rude! I did have acne when I was younger. I was self conscious about it for years, and I have gone to great lengths to get my skin to where it is today. Yes, my skin texture still shows my acne scarring, but I wouldn't consider it a major concern for me anymore. I actually really liked how my skin looked yesterday!!! She said "it's 15% off today, do you want me to show you?" I said no and walked away. I felt horrible about myself after this exchange. Please let customers tell you what they want help with. Please don't look at someone and assume! read more

Shellbe did an amazing job on my hair! She did a thorough consultation with me on my hair history and what I wanted to accomplish for the appointment. She constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and we had fun conversation! read more

I wanted to give a special shout out to Mia. About a week or two ago I needed help with matching for a concealer, foundation, bronzer and skin tint. Very organized! Almost every single aisle we went into was super organized. They had all of the brands from drugstore to luxury. We came during a pretty crowded time so we didn't interact with anyone. Prices were pretty reasonable and I saw a lot of new items. Some shelves weren't as stocked as others, but we didn't mind. We'll definitely be stopping by more often! read more

I usually wouldn't leave a review for a chain beauty store BUT their customer service in the store is horrible. I went in for Cyber Monday because I saw the deals online. Some things said you only get the gift in store, etc. So I picked everything and went to the register and it wasn't giving the discounts. The associate said they can't go or discounts in store and literally told me I have to place a pick up order and wait 2 hours. Didn't even offer to wait and let me just order it and manage the pick up order there. What? Seriously? Her and a blonde I'm assuming manager were rude. I waited and went to other stores almost 2 hours and it still wasn't ready. I filed a complaint directly with Ulta even though I doubt anything will be done. read more

It was my first time trying out the salon and I was excited since it's for my birthday, I spoke to Abby about who'd be free on tuesday the 11th, she checked and said that she was free Tuesday at 3pm to which I agreed since that's my only day off beforehand and I was able to talk to my stylist in person . I get here day of my appointment at 2:50pm and see she's barely getting started with an other customer, that's fine maybe she ran a bit late. She ends up finishing at 3:15 , Abby would stare at me and continue working , once she was done she went and greeted someone else and started doing their hair. She walked past me didn't acknowledge me or greet me, she could've easily booked me with someone who had time instead of overbooking and taking that appointment from someone else. I'm genuinely disappointed, if she would've communicated that she was running late that's fine. Had I been the one 30 minutes late , my appointment would be canceled. Super unprofessional read more

My daughter went to the beauty bar to get her brows done. The girl barely did anything to her brows, she was clearly timid which okay I get what I don't get is how do you charge someone full price ???? I get if ulta wants to specify hey this girls an apprentice she's not full skilled but we also charge 40% less .... This way you give the customer an option as to what they're getting. The girl doing it was a "apprentice " I get everyone needs practice and training but why is ULTA allowing people with little to no experience to work on people AND CHARGE FULL PRICE?! Make that make sense. If you're an apprentice or still new you're ripping off the public and giving the company you're working under a bad look! I'm p off being in this economy everything is expensive as hell, so not only do I have to pay full price, I have to pay taxes and I'm expected to tip you ?! Sooo displeased and unhappy !!! CHARGING PEOPLE FOR SHITTY WORK IS BULLSHIT !!! The girls name I believe was Madison. Do better ulta read more

I'm an individual whom places a huge emphasis on customer service and this can make or break my experience in reference to returning to a specific business establishment. My overall experience has been fair at this particular Ulta Beauty ; however, I would not describe the energy as pleasant , helpful or welcoming . I was not greeted when walking into this establishment on either occasion. I walked up to the register as I had a question on my most recent visit 6 /2025 and the sales representative was on the phone , but never acknowledged my presence not even when she put the phone down to see if I had a question , so I proceeded to walk through the store to find the product I was seeking . No sales representative ever asked me if I needed assistance as I searched for the product I was looking for that I never located ! The young lady that was on the phone had on a white shirt with her hair pulled back in a bun ! I understood she was on the phone , but it's important to acknowledge customers in your presence ! You can kindly state " I will be with you shortly with a smile " ! There was absolutely no acknowledgment! I eventually purchased another item and the sales representative that checked me out was pleasant, but when I inquired about the product I was looking for she didn't provide much information except to say " it didn't arrive in the shipment ". I'm uncertain if it's a lack of training by management at this particular Ulta , but the overall customer service experience certainly could be improved. I have to say my experience at the Ulta Beauty in Temecula has always been warm, welcoming and the sales representative's are always helpful & go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction no matter how busy they are ! read more

Have been here multiple times, always a clean organized store with lots of variety. The workers are always super friendly and willing to help. The manager Vanessa helped me and my family today when we needed help with matching, she saw me looking and when we made eye contact she came to help right away. I really appreciate the customer service here, and everyone is always super nice and friendly. I left very impressed with the quality of her service. I was very happy with my visit. Thank you Rae for your help and advice with Chanel products. read more

A amazing store, my family has been to this location several times to get their hair done, My mom went to get her hair done on her birthday weekend, she wanted a red copper hair that was more on the red side, the stylist talked her out of it and told her to get a different color . My moms hair ended having uneven orange highlights. My mom didn't say anything because she had to pick me and my sisters up from school, she thought she would grow to like it by the end of the day. She didn't , she called the store asking for a refund, they told her to come in . The general manager Caitlyn or however you spell her name said she would give her a partial refund when she came back my mom simply asked if she can get a full refund and the lady started being so rude my mom asked again if she can get a full refund she ignored what she said and said it will be 81 , my mom asked to speak to another manager she said no , I am a teenager and I noticed how rude she was, my mom said can i speak to customer service she said no you have to call my name is on the top basically making fun of my mother . My mom just left and asked another employee if she can speak to a different manager who wasn't her , she got the same manager and she said im the only manager "This is my store " she wishes it was her store , she gets paid what 10$ more and shes acting like shes better than everyone. She started implying my mother is a liar, saying the stylist had told her it would be orange, my mom dislikes the color orange and would never agree to getting, she was honestly so rude mocking and making fun of my mom, after we left she was laughing , She is one the worst people i've ever met in retail. No manners , i feel horrible for her parents of what they have have raised , The stylist was kind to my mom even if she messed up her hair. Caitlyn General Manager was the worse possible person they can put as a manager read more

11/24/25 * The work associates at this location are extremely rude and lack common courtesy. Their store hours specifically state they open at 10am. After standing out front waiting to be acknowledged, a clueless associate texts her manager and doesn't give a clear response. After she walks away, another girl just locks the door and walks off. The proper response would have been, "hey sorry, the hours are actually wrong.. please come back at 11!" Buuuut no, very rude, very negative energy. The group of ladies and I just walked off in disbelief at how they handled this. I can see why this place has so many bad reviews. read more

Had the most amazing young lady associate. Help me by the name of Julia. She was so sweet and kind. It's so nice to walk into a place and feel like family. I had an apt today @11. I showed up just a few mins before 11. I was told she was a bit behind schedule. I had asked how much longer they said about 15. Time passed I waited until 11:36 & they then offered someone else to do the service but no one was available. I needed to leave. If a provider will be that late the apt the least that can be done is that she comes out to give me an updated time estimate after the 5 mins she said she would be done by. I ended up waiting more then 5 by 11:36 I had to leave. I was so excited to try Ulta's beauty services but I don't see myself returning to try any. read more

The customer service at this location is the worst. Doesn't matter what time of day, how slow it is, or who I interact with. Nothing ever seems to be anyone's problem nor are they helpful. Customers are never greeted, when paying at the register there is always one specific person with a sour face with minimal interaction (I can't remember her name, but if you see her you'll know who I am talking about) and the individual (Monique) at the beauty bar is also very rude. As for management, rather than responding to similar complaints time and time again with the same seemingly insincere apology, perhaps you can finally remedy some of these issues by re-training your employees. read more

If you would like great costumer service DO NOT come here. I walked in and was not greeted. There was 3 associates on the floor and 3 at the cash wrap. Not one person offered to helped me. The store was pretty empty besides two other customers browsing. I asked one associate where a certain brand was and rather than walk me over and assist she just said "in the back". I couldn't find what I was looking for and decided just to get my money back on a return. The associate was snarky and couldn't be bothered to throw away the simple shipping receipt and envelope. I never felt so unwelcome in a store. Why would I want to spend money here? You're better off shopping in a department store where they actually assist in helping you find products read more

This review is strictly for this location only and not a direct reflection of my shopping experience through Ulta otherwise. I have sadly had nothing but poor experiences here at this particular location. The staff is just not friendly at all, many of which are very unaware of product selection and placement of throughout the store as well. Not to mention they are either too busy chatting with one another to help you or just lack the desire to do so. Very poor customer service in general. I have even had instances shopping with my young child and on more than one occasion was very heavily followed throughout the store, not offered assistance or beauty suggestions, just employees leering at us. I suppose they were under the impression I was going to steal. After some time noticing this I was honestly quite embarrassed and annoyed and just left the things I had grabbed and exited the store. As a platinum member of over 10 years I have no interest in stealing, maybe pay attention to the actual culprits of these crimes and they wouldn't occur anymore. My last straw here was my most recent curb side order, one of my items was very noticeable open and used. How in the world can an associate personally pick an item without noticing this only to place it into a bag for a customer and still have it go unnoticed? Mind you this was only a spray so I will definitely not be wasting my time to return to this store and return it, but had it been a lip or other product similar I would have no choice. Please do better Ulta of Menifee. This is the closest Ulta to me so coming here is very convenient, however if I have to endure all of the above to shop here I would much rather place an online order or visit the Lake Elsinore location. read more

Customer service is a joke. Associates have zero product knowledge. Buy products with 'free gifts' never get anything. I love this Ulta, very close to home, painless to get to, easy parking in large shopping center and well stocked. My hair blow dryer decided to die on me (the horror!) and so I was undecided on which one to buy. I wanted more choices than typical big box stores have, so came here because I bought a flat iron 6 years ago & still works, still excellent condition that I was hoping to find the same in a hair dryer. We'll, prices have gone up & I did spend close to $100 at a luxury beauty supply in Palos Verdes, that one only 5 yrs but it was already lagging after 3 years. Anyhow, I found a budget friendly one suggested by someone working there and she was right, it works just as well as the high priced brands and an old reliable brand (Conair) you can't go wrong. I usually buy make up, hair spray there as well. read more
