I visited Sally's because I was in search of some things needed for sew-in hair extensions. I needed some c- shaped needles, ( very common), some bead clamps, and some yarn. They had nothing! First, the store was very hard to find. It's tucked away in this huge shopping center in Menifee. I literally drove around for 10 minutes, using my navigation and finally just asked someone in a different store nearby if they knew where it was. The store was neatly kept, but had a lot of empty shelves. I was disappointed because they didn't have one thing I needed. Also nothing is priced. I had to ask the pricing on everything I picked up. I go to Sally's pretty often and am usually greeted by the same girls. They are always nice and welcoming. I went on Sunday to get some things to dye my daughters hair and when we needed additional assistance Marissa found her way to us. Well, the first attempt didn't work out how expected so we had to return Monday and Marissa immediately recognized us and guided us on how to achieve what my daughter wanted. I went in yesterday to get some hair color so that I could cover up all my grey hairs (at only 25) lol. This was the best time I've ever went. I completely forgot the employees name but she had a pastel violet hair color. I normally end up with my hair turning way darker then I like. Pathetic selection of products; desperately needs a restock. The product that they do have runs a good risk of being defective. I bought this Gelish Top It Off Mini and it was broken to the point of not being usable at all (pictured). I couldn't even use a different brush because I couldn't fit it into the bottle. When i returned it, none of the employees cared in the slightest that it was defective and did not even offer to exchange it for a non-defective one (not that they had any in stock on the shelves). I usually don't go to Sally's because I like to shop small business, but I was in a pinch today and needed some supplies so I headed into this location in menifee. The workers were SO helpful, they answered my 5,000 questions and gave me advice for what would work best for the look I was going for. Customer service was 10/10. Not only were they answering all of my questions, but they were greeting every customer who came in the store and helping them find the products they needed. I have been coming to this location for years only because it's close. That's the only reason. I've seen numerous staff and never ever have I encountered a staff member who actually gave good customer service. They usually ask"Can I help you?" then if you say yes, they either point you in a direction or they spend a few seconds with you then go back to the cash register and get on their cell phone. About a year ago there was a clerk who would consistently over charge me! I began to notice it when I got home there would be items on my receipt I never purchased, I recall thinking the bill was high but nothing too alarming like $10 or $20 more than I thought it would be. After several times of this happening, I returned to the store and demanded to speak to a supervisor. It seemed to always be the same girl who over charged me or added items I never bought. I found out this is common for cashiers to do so when it's closing time they can pocket that money! I don't know if that was the case here or not but I can say that Sally made at least $200 off me before I figured it out. Because of this, I rarely go here. I only go when I need something I can't get somewhere else. Customer service stinks, questionable business practices. Beware!! Check your receipts! read more

To all Sally's beauty shop!! I've been shopping here for over 25 years now everything has changed even the Palladio makeup is also different and not good anymore!! Also you have dropped A LOT OF ITEMS!! And all nail polish prices went up and I've noticed a difference in that product also it peels off in one big piece orly, opi , China glaze everything is a different chemistry now not quality product!! Awful customer service. I went in to use a 20% off coupon that they had emailed me. They did not have cell service in the store and I couldn't pull up my email. Someone saw me struggling and offered to let me use her coupon, but the store wouldn't allow that. Went to Sally's yesterday and my daughter got a consultation by a so called beauty advisor by the name of Taylor (she's extremely small) and she ruined my daughters hair. She had honey blonde highlights and wanted to make them brighter and Taylor told her to use a pale blonde toner with 20 vol, well... it came out darker and took away her honey blondeness. My daughter spent a lot of money on her hair as it's down to her butt, hair is ruined, thanks a lot Taylor. You said you went to beauty school, well you should go back and stop advising people on hair color or if you know there might be a chance that it will make the hair darker than say it, let the customer make the choice. Very friendly and helpful service. Went in trying to find a hair straightener and really had no clue what was best, I got a lot of help from the girls there and left with an amazing straightener, new shampoo and conditioner and oil to protect my hair when I straighten it. I walked out only paying 75 dollars because of the discount that was offered on all items if I signed up for their membership card.
