My daughter was super excited for her first professional hair cut. We were hesitant for a while bc she is sensitive to hair brushing. Stylist was pretty rough, her hair was never washed prior to her haircut which is usually expected. I had washed it myself but thought it was part of the experience? Hair stylist also kept insinuating I don't condition/moisturize my daughter's hair even after I said of course I do. Not sure why she would question that when I literally explained the reasoning for the haircut was bc of her hair texture & length causing extra tangles. Yet, no detangler or conditioner was applied by the stylist herself, she was just rough brushing my daughter's hair. Stylist also seemed upset because owner booked us last minute? Heard the whole convo of her complaining as I awkwardly waited there for her to close her books, was sitting on her phone for a few minutes, and have us wait past our appt time to sit my daughter in her chair. Overall odd experience & felt terrible seeing my daughter's hair being brushed so roughly, especially when she told me after that it was hurting her & now tells me no to future trims ._. I'm not one to speak up but regretted not doing so. I appreciate the owner squeezing us in when another place "didn't realize they booked me". Not sure why stylist seemed so upset over having a customer & a child at that. This was a couple months ago so I don't remember the exact stylists name. read more

This is the first time that our family went to Salon Creations after reading the reviews in Yelp I decided to book an appointment for my daughter. My daughter wanted a cut called a "jellyfish." This one has longer lengths and she had a picture of the style she wanted. It was able to get her an appointment the following day with Shell and she cut her hair way too short and stated that she didn't have the right tools to style her hair. My daughter came home crying. Did contact the salon and spoke with Sue the owner who did offer to add more layers on the top, although most of the length was gone for my daughter's waist length hair. She made sure she had someone available & told me I could come now if I wanted to or I could wait for the next appointment. Konje & Errin both worked on my hair, it was a bleach job gone wrong & I was wanting a more natural look so it took a few hours to correct. This is a long overdue review as I have been coming to Amber for a few years now. Amber was first recommended to me by another hair dresser when I said I wanted a balayage coloring. She always does a BEAUTIFUL job with both the color and cut of my hair. For some background info, I first came to her with extremely dry and damaged hair that was about chin length. She has always been honest about what my hair can handle. Each session, she is careful to safely and successfully get my hair to the color I want without frying my thin, fine hair. Amber also has been great at recommending products that will help protect my hair without being pushy or salesman-y about it. No one came to greet me when I entered the establishment. I wanted a sun kissed color, (cool but not brassy), and I got a silver/gray/greenish ashy color! Be careful what Additives to use, cuz Terry took it literally & without showing me any of her color samples. She told me that the gray, silver color will wash away. WTF!?!?! No, I want my hair back before I ever sat in her chair! 5 1/2 hours later, I got this sun kissed caramel hair color. I also asked for long bangs. She cut my bangs too short & the scissors were too close to my eyes. I asked for long layers, it's trimmed but nothing was really layered. I payed full & gave her a tip. I should have gotten paid since my time was wasted w/ her. Comprehension is lacking w/ this stylist?!? She fried my hair! Told me it will go away? WTF! Terry V. was having an argument w/ another stylist while washing my hair. She was more concerned about her feelings & trash talk of being called fat, while she wasn't even concerned about the job at hand. Drama & unprofessionalism runs hand in hand @ this establishment. I'm extremely fortunate to have found Salon Creations. My first visit was back in 2018 a spontaneous walk in. I was greeted with a friendly smile from Angela.. I went from long to short hair.. and she absolutely did an amazing job.. customer service like I've never experienced before at a hair salon. My hair felt absolutely great, she had given me so much confidence with this hair cut.. so that should tell you how great she is. Not only was it rockin' as a fresh haircut but it grew out so beautiful. My second visit was this year 2019.. after going to another salon and getting a bad haircut I searched and searched for Angela.. I had moved cities and I didn't save any info of the salon. 45 minutes out of my way you've got to be kidding me I cannot believe I drove all this way to be disrespected not helped and left standing there while she helped another customer the young lady which worked on April 1st around 11:00 12:00 the afternoon was sorely lacking customer service skills. There's just no excuse for disrespect bad manners and contempt at somebody that does customer service. I not only got so upset I actually took the cart put it back in the front and said I wasn't going to buy nothing from here she didn't seem to care in the least bit. I then approached the counter and ask the young lady are you always this rude to customers that come in here to spend money now I can see why this place is so empty and she says to me well I was explaining it to you but didn't seem like you were getting it at all and I said to the young lady I said well maybe that's cuz I'm death in both ears and my vision is bad being I'm a little older my vision is not what it used to be she would not even take the time to help me figure out what it was I need. I had an appointment with Desiree to get a bayalage done and face framing with a couple layers. I could tell from the moment I sat down she was inexperienced. During the process I questioned what she was doing several times and she assured me it would be fine. Let's just say the end result was nothing like what I asked for or the pictured I showed her. When she was done she saw several spots she messed up on. She did offer to fix at no charge but I don't what her to touch my hair again!!!! I would not recommend her at all and wish I could get my money back. She is a disgrace to this Salon. Beware!!!!! I give her 1 star because I had too. She deserves zero stars. read more

Angela! Omg Angela! She is an amazing hair stylist. My hair was so dry and brittle from doing box color for years! I tried several stylists to help rescue my hair and I was not happy with them. Then I met Angela back in 2013. She had been my stylist since then! My hair is healthy and transformed now and I'll never go back to box color again. Ruined my highlights from honey blonde to red, my V point cut layers to a blunt cut and used thinning shears instead as her way of a point cut! Owner was extremely rude! Stylist did not honor her attempt to make things right to fix my hair... booked an appointment to fix and she never showed up... no call or text and she's now not answering or responding! Rude rude ... so unprofessional!!! I can't believe I trusted this place, thinking they're professionals and know what they're doing! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! I spent 198.00 for someone to not listen period and to do what she wanted instead of satisfying her client! Shame on you, the owner as well for not providing good customer service!
