I'm getting married so I came here for a makeover. They offer the makeovers for "free" with purchase of at least $50 worth of product. It's actually a super great deal! If you go for wedding makeup, I'd highly recommend asking for Becca. She did such a great job on my makeup and she took her time! She went over my allotted hour (or 45 min?) that you're supposed to get with the makeup artist. I am doing my own makeup on my big day and she was so patient and helpful in explaining how I could recreate everything she did. I travel all the way from San Diego County to visit this store because of the amazing service. I've never visited this place without having a great time sampling, testing and engaging with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and truly make the environment so fun that I end up spending an hour or more shopping and spending more than I planned (thus the reason why I'm VIB Rouge). I love this specific location! Not only do they have every makeup available but the customer services is excellent! I'm impressed with all the knowledge at this store. I love this store, the freestanding one just outside the mall I mean. I walked in not sure what I should be looking at for experimenting with contouring, and Melissa walked with me all over looking at various options. I didn't want to spend a lot, and she was able to help me find a palette that would give me an idea of what I was doing without breaking the bank! Before checking I remembered I was out of my awesome hair treatment stuff (caviar cream) and Carmen helped me find it, then used her handheld to get me rung up (no line) AND went behind the counter to get me stocked up on samples. I just want to give a shout out to Brooke Morgan! I usually feel a little intimidated going into a Sephora, and especially asking for help, but Brooke always makes me feel totally comfortable. The first time I met her, I had booked a full make over, and she was my artist. She answered all of my questions, and explained everything so well, I felt confident I could use any of the products on my own at home. I fell in love almost every product she used, and had her make me a list of them so I could come back and purchase them. Each time I ask her for help, I feel like she really listens and understands the issues I'm having, as well as comes up with the right solution. Ask for Matthew!! He is a wealth of knowledge.. I came in today to get something specific that I had tried and loved but then ran out of, he asked me if I was ok which I thought I was .. and was planning to purchase quickly and leave bc I only put a couple minutes in my parking spot. But then, he was so engaging and knowledgeable when I explained my skin type and reactive skin to any chemicals in cleansers.. he brought me to a line called Belif which after reading some very positive reviews, which he encouraged me to read.. this product seemed exactly the type of product I have been looking for, for a while. I ran home and started with the cleanser, moisturizer and serum. He even gave me a sample of a product I was interested in but not yet ready to purchase. All in all I would say that this location is better for having representatives like Matthew. This review is for the Sephora outside of the mall. The girls who work here are always nice but last time one of the girls went out of her way to help me. She helped me figure out my undertones, which kind of eyeshadows and blush I should wear. She was even sweet enough to apply blush and eyeshadow on me to see how it looked. She also told me my face shape(because I wasn't sure) and she showed me how I should apply my blush. I believe her name was Fatima. It was my little sisters birthday and she just got into wearing false lashes. I let her pick out a pair here and bought some DUO lash glue. We waited in line, then the girl checked us out. After she did we sat in the corner since she wanted them on her right now since we literally.... 2 MINUTES ago- bought them. I was putting them on and the same woman WHO RANG US UP was behind us just waiting and watching and we didn't really care or acknowledge her. She then after 30 seconds of standing says "Do you guys need any help putting those on?" And I say "Oh no we're fine! Thank you!" Thinking she was offering help since I was putting the lashes on her and maybe she thought she could put them on for her and help out. Right after I say this she pauses then says "You need to purchase them before trying the lashes on". I stop for a second at what I'm doing and I just am shocked. She thought we were stealing them???? My sister said "we did buy them?" And I looked at her then turned back to my sister and said "wasn't she the same one that checked us out 3 minutes ago for these too?" And my sister just laughed. And she stepped back saying nothing in shame- not even an apology. Whilst my boyfriend sitting near us waiting while I put the lashes on my sister starts dying with laughter. She's so lucky I was not being rude or saying anything rude to her as she disrespected us thinking we'd steal- especially being so dumb that she checked us out for those items. i do love your store, i really do, but please corporate needs to get it together and stop using ontrac for their shipping, my package has been confirmed as lost. The only saving grace in the sephora on the outside part of the temecula mall sephora is Danny he's the sweetest worker there !!! Most of the time no one greets you everyone is in the corner talking and the managers are rude !!! I visited the Temecula location. Great selection of products, and I like the samples. But the service at this location is horrible. The sales people are snotty, dismissive and rude, except for the guy that was there the second time I went in. It wasn't just me, they were making sarcastic comments to the young girl who was there getting a makeover too. I have given this location 3 chances, and hate it more each time. I now get all my beauty products from Macy's which is a few feet away, and the people are more helpful, diverse and nicer. read more

Sephora is definitely useful if you want to splurge on beauty products. I have a few bones to pick with the Temecula location however. I went in there to pick up the Pink Sugar body spritzer one time, and they were totally out. They didn't know when more was coming in, and it ended up being a long time before I was able to get it. Considering its one of their most popular fragrances, you think they'd keep more handy. I also went in there one time to buy an eyebrow kit, and I expressed my concern to the sales lady that the kit seemed too light for my eyebrows. She insisted it would be fine, but alas, I got home and used it a few times & then realized it was just waaaay too light to ever work. That pissed me off. She only did that to push the sale. Just the other day I went in there and this sales dude starts pestering me about lipgloss. He suggested a more expensive brand than the one I wanted (of course) and when I told him I didn't like the applicators on the brand he was suggesting, he totally gave me the stink eye and acted like I was an idiot. Great customer service... not. I suppose I'll have to put up with the incompetent staff to get the products I love. read more

Went to Sephore because I got a gift card for my birthday. Nice store and all but unfortunately the girls who worked there are big time snobs. With the exception of the manager....or supervisor...the girl who cashed me out was extremely rude. This is why I Go to the Mac store down the way. The girls are always nice there. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. My hopes is that if management knows what is happening things will actually change. I have had several bad experiences here in the last few months. I keep returning because they have everything I need. Some of the girls are nice few are helpful. By far the worst is the floor "manager" Sonny. I had been in at least 5 times asking to have someone help me with color match for foundation as that is something I obviously can't do online. The wait has always been over 15 min even mid day on a weekday when there are employees standing around. 3 times Sonny was rude and tried to make me feel like I was asking for special treatment! When I asked her if she could do it she gave me a nasty look and said NO! Then turned around and walked away! I have shopped at the Sephora at South Coast Plaza for years and was so happy to see one open in Temecula. It is NOTHING like South Coast! Customer service is terrible, knowledge is lacking. This is a review for the big Sephora inside the Promenade Mall. I go to all Sephora stores locally-JC Penny Escondido, UTC, Friar Mall and Temecula. Temecula by far is my favorite one to go to for many reasons. The store is always clean, well-stocked, including the cleaning/tissue supplies and the lighting is perfect. Some stores have too much neon or some sort of brighter light and I always look horrible when trying on makeups. Of course I do want naturally lights that really show how I actually look, but too much lighting can be a negative thing. Most associates there overall are much nicer and helpful. My last experience there (2 weeks ago) with Betty was very welcoming. She was also very helpful and enthusiastic. She actually made me feel valued. The petite Asian lady is ALWAYS nice as well. I should have been better at getting their names because I think they deserve some recognition. Sephora is the best cosmetic store ever! read more

I shop at sephora all the time. Customer service is amazing, i always feel like i'm at home. The staff goes above & beyond to make the experience personable & it always makes me want to come back. That being said, this is the second occasion i've had a bad experience at temecula. The cashiers in particular have been really rude in a matter of fact way. I'm not the type to write a negative review but this is the second time i've been treated poorly so i'm sorry but its time i put a bitch on blast. In addition, there was one cashier working while two people were on the floor doing nothing & chatting. Way to not acknowledge your clients. They are very unprofessional, especially the manager i encountered during my first awful experience. I could teach them a thing or two, especially about makeup. I was looking for vitamin c serum and I told them that I have sensitive skin and cannot use things that have perfume in them. She walked away without saying anything. I LOVE my new makeup!!! I feel prettier than yesterday! I went in last night with two firmly set goals. Buy only the two things I needed and resist upselling. I'm happy to report the girl that helped me (didn't get her name) not only found me the BEST eyeliner pen ever at a good price but recognized my five-year old eyebrow pen and found me the same exact one. I know I'm not the only person who clings desperately to their favorite beauty products as they die, I am SO happy Sephora still carries mine after all these years! It's an Anastasia Eyebrow Pen if you're curious. Great stuff. Oh I almost forgot that my cashier was incredibly polite without that weird rehearsed speech most cashiers are giving around the mall lately. She realized it was my birthday last week and gave me a birthday present... Not only is the present awesome but I thought it was way cool of a retail store to actually HAND you a gift on your birthday instead of sending something lame like a 10% off coupon in the mail. i've been coming to this sephora for YEARS and no one, NO ONE has ever gave us such excellent customer service like Nico. he was so knowledgeable, knew what products would be a good match for my skin, and extremely friendly. i have dry, sensitive skin and every skincare product i've got from here has made me breakout and i've had to return. i feel so wrong doing that so i told Nico. he gave me products that i swear, my skin has never looked any better. the same thing for my sister, her skin looks amazing. no one in this store has ever helped my sister and i as much as Nico has. he informed us of the Rouge perks that we were never told about or offered. i am SO SO happy with the customer service Nico had to offer. he made that shopping experience so much better. also, the guy who helped me out with hair products (longer hair with mustache, didn't get his name) was super helpful with trying to find a good shampoo! *visit was on November 21st, but i am barely getting to the review now read more

I haven't been to this location since Sept. 2016 due to this location accusing my sister of stealing and I haven't been back since because of how uncomfortable I am in there. It has been multiple times where I am extremely comfortable because of how the employees obnoxiously hover over their customers. Today on 4/22/17 I returned to this location only to feel the same the way I have expressed in my last review. The only reason why I came here today was for the VIB sale as this store had all the products I needed to purchase. While looking around, I was walking/looking around next to the perfumes and a worker ( she looks asian/Mexican who is short and in her 30s/early 40s) noticed me, started talking in her ear piece and started to follow me to the Marc Jacob's area where she literally was staring at my every move then handed me a bag to put my belongings in. I grab the bag and put my belongings in it and kept looking at the products. She then still proceeded to stare then walked away and then I walked to the other side of the store where the Tarte products are at. Then another lady came up to me (dressed in all black, assuming she is a manager) asking if I needed any help, which i said "no". I walk up to the skin care area and I see the same lady in black looking at me talking to another employee which then soon after the lady (the manager was talking to) came up to me asking if I needed help and offered free samples to me. I finally am furious and proceed to check out. When I get to pay, the manager is cashiering and I see the first lady who bothered me, on the left hand side by the perfumes watching the cashier area. ( I saw the manager and that lady look at each other and nod). The manager looks at me and continues on with the transaction she was doing. After paying, I express my feelings to the cashier who was very apologetic and offered me a hug. She then said she would let management know my concerns and gave me a card to call and express my feelings. It truly is ANNOYING how OBNOXIOUS the employees are. I understand that there may be a theft problem but that isn't my fault when first, I DO NOT STEAL, and second I spend a lot of money at Sephora, only to be treated unfairly and discriminated against. I work in retail myself, and NEVER do I, myself or my coworkers treat our customers the way Sephora does. Im furious once again. read more

on Monday the 26th I had an appointment for the makeover at 2pm it was a horrible experience. While I waited for the girl To finish her previous client I had a mini facial then they told her the other girl was ready and I waited 20 mins for her to come out. When she finally came out it took her forever to begin and I told her I need to leave by 3,315. She told me okay it will take about 30 mins, about 30 mins later she had barely finished my eyebrows and started on my eyeshadow. I told her what I wanted and idk if she didn't know how or just didn't listen to what I wanted but she did not do what I asked for. At all, it was about 4 pm and she still wasn't close to being done. She left my nose blotchy and sticky. Another lady, sent her on break and came and had to fix everything and did so in about 15 mins. I still did not like it at all. I wanted lashes so I bought some and they didn't even get them on properly they cut them too short for my eyes and it looked horrible.I had to go home fix my whole face and was late for my event. I was there 2.5 hours still spent some decent money between my mom and myself on product including the ruined eyelashes i was very unhappy with the overall experience and finished look. read more

The clerk gave me a free shipping code to order online for out of stock purchases. I went home to order the item and the shipping code did not work. I telephoned the store number 4 times to ask for assistance and reached a voice mail which would not allow me to leave a message because it was full. This is a hit-or-miss type of place it's okay for me when I go here because I'm a pretty experienced Shopper here I know where everything is at I know what I want I know all my shades so I never need any advice from anybody so I never bother anyone for help but I also can't recall anyone coming up to me asking me if they could help me some of the girls here are nice but a majority of them have an attitude I witnessed some of them gossiping to each other about the customers that in their opinion looked funny and I was going to say something to a manager cuz I don't think that's very professional but I do a lot of shopping in here and I don't want to get anyone in trouble but the management should definitely talk to the employees here to be more kinder to the customers and interact more with them cuz when you first start shopping at Sephora it could definitely be overwhelming you have no idea where to go where to look what you need what you want so they do need to be more helpful to the customers but other than that they do have a really great selection on products store is always well kept very clean and well stocked read more

It's always super busy when I come. Some of the staff are nice. Most are rude and talk like I don't know anything. Lots of times it takes forever to get help but I understand, it gets really busy. I got my makeup done a while ago by Rosaria (I'm pretty sure I spelled her name wrong). She was very nice and friendly. I love how she did my makeup. Turned out really pretty and got lots of complaints. But after I got my makeup done and went to the register , the girl was nice but there was one other girl standing by her and she was so rude. She gave me a weird, mean look and she talked really rude. This Sephora store would be much nicer if the workers didn't seem so mean.
