Of course I would give Sephora 5 stars and even more for this location. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, this Sephora is a lot better than the one in the Scottsdale mall. Employees are great here, very knowledgeable, and eager to help. I like the fact that they are able to give me ideas for the products that I am going to buy, in addition to letting me know about other products. While there's a JCP being constructed near our house, with a Sephora inside, it's obviously not going to be as good or stocked as the one in the mall (besides the points aren't added). read more

Went in not really knowing exactly what I wanted but had a few ideas in mind. When asking one of the staff members some questions I just felt like I was bothering her. First time someone hasn't been dying to give me some suggestions when I'm there, it was very odd. Ended up just looking around on my own until I found something. Overall I have had good experiences at this location of Sephora. Most recently I was on the hunt for a new shade of lipstick. I am jumping on the deep pigment lipstick bandwagon and I needed some advice. I searched around a few different brands, Benefit, Bare Minerals, etc... but settled on and Urban Decay display set up in the middle of an aisle. I was trying a few of the colors and a couple of associates came by every few minutes to check to see if I needed help. It was a little a little much having two different associates hovering when I didn't need help but it wasn't over the top. I did need help at one point finding a make up removing station and one of the associates was happy to help me. When I made my way to check out I was assisted right away. It had been awhile since I had shopped at Sephora but I am part of the Beauty Insider club so I had her look up my account. My birthday is coming up soon and to my surprise I was due a birthday gift from the Beauty Insider club, Yay! Free is always best. The Urban Decay lipstick I purchased is fantastic, I am very happy with it. The selection of makeup here is great and you can catch a lot of good sales. This Sephora is an example of why I never buy my products in store. There's never anyone that offers to help you. The "Acting Manager" Brittany, at the Chandler Mall location, displayed remedial customer service skills. I needed assistance with the purchase of my favorite perfume and she was literally 3 feet from me and never acknowledged my presence. When I for assistance, she showed obvious discomfort and lack of enthusiasm to assist me. She basically told me to get it myself and walked away! Terrible customer service and obvious personal incompetences like that are all reasons I will discourage anyone to shop at this location! read more

I walked in looking for a product and I asked a girl if they had it and she rudely snapped at me and said that only ulta had it. She walked away even though I still had a few questions for her so I went to another woman and I told her that her employee was very rude and she apologized and had someone help me immediately. He was much nicer and helpful. That girl ended up being my cashier and she was still very very rude. Awful customer service she practically threw my beauty card back at me and before I left I said to the girl that she was very rude and I left. I was very upset by this and I probably won't go back in that Sephora. read more

I'm a fan! Yes. Yes I am. They had changed the store from the last time I was in and there was a make up session going on as you walked in. It made for a little confusion and close quarters but thats not a bad thing. It just means that you need a bigger store for all that business. That's a good thing, right? So mom was down to the golf pencil style of her favorite lip liner. She walked in and showed the associate what she needed. I turned back around and they had scooted mom off to show her where it was and help in any way they could. So I went over to the left hand side of the store where all of the fun "sephora" brand stuff is. I was on a mission to find a powder puff. One that I could use for loose powder. The first associate that came over said if it was any where it would be where we were standing. Didn't find any. That associate walked away and I continued to look. The only guy associate that was in there asked if he could help (do you see Guess this is how things are done) I told him what I needed. He walked right over to where he thought one might be and sure as s&@*we found it - I held out my arms and hugged him. I DID! No one has had it. IT was a little pricey but I found it - or he found it. Thank gosh. Great service - mom's lip liner had been discontinued but they suggested several other options and she bought a couple. Let me say that I have mixed feelings about this store but my teenage daughter absolutely loves it! For me, it's not maintained well although they have A LOT of options for anything and everything that you can think of. They have testers for just about everything in the store so you can try something before you buy it which is fabulous, but the execution of that is where it falls apart for me. Their customers don't always (and by that, I mean hardly ever) follow the hygiene rules. You can see people putting their fingers in the test products rather than using the disposable tools provided. Additionally, the tested products are a mess...because customers have poked and prodded at them all day! So they aren't visually appealing and don't leave me wanting to purchase anything. The one thing I'll say about them is that their prices seem to be relatively competitive with Amazon, which is good (and these days unexpected). The people working here are friendly and generally helpful and will give you plenty of space if you share that you don't need any help. These are things I definitely appreciate about them! read more

I specifically drive 35 minutes out of the way to come to this Sephora. I suffer from problem skin and can't use drug store skin care anymore. The skin care specialist Sarah is always so knowledgeable, and really knows what products will work for my skin. She's extremely hygienic and genuine, and I have never had a negative experience when working with her. read more

I dislike this sephora with a passion. I've gone a handful of times due to the fact that it's 5 min away from my home vs 25 min away (which is the one in Gilbert) I always find myself looking around for help, with no one in site. The cast members never want to help. Why have a customer service job if you don't enjoy helping people? Please just take your money elsewhere and go to a cosmetic store with at least clean gondolas. read more

I come here when I don't want to be bothered with dealing with the main store at the malls. They sometimes have deals that they don't. And sometimes have products that are out of stock elsewhere. ;) There's a tip for ya! I don't know why there are hit and miss reviews on here. I guess I've been pretty fortunate enough to deal with their better sales associates? Then again I actually know what I'm coming in for and then some. :p When I am a bit confused and not sure what I'm looking for they go above and beyond to assist me. I usually shop online for Sephora, but needed something last minute for a trip. I have often had negative experiences with associates as mentioned with previous posts (standoffish, rushed, etc.), however today, Raquel really impressed me! Not only did she take her time to show me different products and give me recommendations, she went above and beyond to offer me samples of each one. She was so sweet and genuine. I had been debating on leaving because the product I came in for was out of stock. Because of Raquel, I was able to figure out my makeup and skincare needs and she suggested products that were not only similar, but better for what I want. read more

Customer service needs some work here. I actually left before checking out and went to a different location to buy my things due to my interactions with the manager working. I spoke to her multiple times, including briefly at the register, and each time she was increasingly rude and bothered. Customers should not feel like an inconvenience to employees. Won't go to this location again. read more

Very crowded with hardly any items left on the shelves. Everything was picked over. Literally all the items on my list from eyelashes (two different brands), glue, lip balm, face cream, and face powder-----were all out of stock. I recommend going to a different Sephora where either they have the items you want or where they re-stock the shelves. Waste of a trip read more

I don't like to spend too much on my cosmetics as I know it is one huge sales gimmick to trick us women into feeling like we NEED this high quality product or NEED that high quality product, but the ladies at Sephora made me feel differently. I came in on a random Tuesday evening to get color swatched so I could take that information and sneak off to a drug store to buy my right face shade; but I ended up leaving with two moderately priced items that fit me really well. Sydney helped me to decide between a couple of different foundations and concealers and she made me feel as if the choice was all mine in what I wanted. I even asked her about my skin itself and what to use and she gave me some great suggestions which I ended up purchasing at a later time (she sent me an email outlining all of the things she suggested!!) At no time did I feel like I had entered a place in which I was being peddled something, they gave me great service at this location and now my skin is RADIANT hunty!!! read more

I am a long time Sephora lover, and have frequented this location many times. There are a few really nice and helpful reps, but I have to say my recent trips have left such a bad taste in my mouth that I was compelled to write this review. I have never left a store feeling so horribly mistreated in my life. There has been a sales rep there for quite some time that for whatever reason just doesn't seem to like people. On my last trip in, I went with my 11 year old daughter. Let me state for the record, I do not allow my daughter to wear makeup, with the exception of lip gloss on certain occasions, but we do enjoy playing at makeup counters together and I let her try on glosses whenever we go. So, we were looking around and went our separate ways. My daughter found a gloss and decided to try it on. As soon as she got to a mirror, she was met by the smug and judgmental aforementioned sales rep who proceeded to tell her she was much too young to be trying on lip glosses. Um, aren't you there to sell the products? Shouldn't that be my decision as to how old my child should be when she puts on makeup? After this incident (which I didn't even hear about until we got to the car) the sales rep proceeded to follow her around the store telling her not to touch any of the testers, When my daughter said "these are testers, aren't they for testing?" she again told her the products were too "old" for her, and she didn't need to be looking at them. I just can't believe that anyone working in a store that sells makeup would treat any customer like that. What's worse is I had my own run in with another sales rep at the same time as my daughter was having a problem. This rep basically told me I was "illegally" testing a product that was not the tester. In fact, the product was one in my bag that I was purchasing. She pretty much called me a liar. I have never been treated so badly, and then to find out my daughter was also the recipient of hostility just pushed this experience over the edge for me. I have to say, I'm a bit of a makeup whore and have spent a small fortune on products at Sephora. I will be writing to them after this experience, and I'm unsure at the moment whether I will continue to buy products from at other locations. One thing is for sure - I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS SEPHORA LOCATION AGAIN!!! read more

I was looking for Huda lashes, she checked shelves, called a different Sephora location for me, she looked through go backs and found the lashes I was needing!!! Ahhhh my most favorite place to get all my make up from. They have soo much products to chose from make up to cologne to facial stuff. Whatever you need for your face. This is the only place I will shop for any of my makeup products. I love their Urban Decay selection soo many different shades of eye shadows and the primer which I love. Im sure you can get the same stuff or similiar stuff at like a MAC or something, but Id rather go to Sephora. The employees are always friendly and very helpful. read more

I very rarely wear makeup beyond mascara and lip balm. I am going on vacation and looking for an evening look. I made a makeover appointment, it was free with $50 purchase. I went in for my appointment with Jessica and to be honest I was a little nervous about getting a strong sales pitch or not being able to do it at home. Jessica was super sweet and really listened to me about what I wanted (smokey eye, a couple lipsticks and even out my skin). She did one side of my face step by step and let me try it out on the other side. I feel totally confident that I can create the look at home and I didn't feel pressured at all to buy everything. She wrote down everything she used for me and directions for each. My budget didn't allow me to buy everything, but I feel good about going back for other stuff later. 9/20 8:00pm. Never treated so badly at a Sephora before. We waited for 30 minutes before we finally walked out. No one asked if they could help me AND I even went up to the counter and asked for someone to help me color match Lancôme. She said they were busy helping other people. When someone from the registers was asking for someone to color match, I thought it was for me since I had asked them and had been waiting; however, I was wrong because she went to help another lady that had arrived after me. Since I was so in love with the NARS creamy concealer I went to purchase some more. When I walked in the store there were lots of associates just standing around talking. I had to walk up to a lady with a clip board and ask for help. I asked if she had the NARS creamy concealer and she took me to the Urban Decay display and said here. I told her I asked for NARS not Urban Decay, then she goes to the Nars side and looks around and says "Oh I just did training and this and we don't have it in." Unfortunately, I went back to use my store credit from my last debacle, (see past review), and could get no one to help me. There were plenty of sales people, but they try not to make eye contact. I wanted help selecting a new foundation because they have this kiosk inside stating they have 1,500 shades to match you to. That caught my eye and decided to try it out. I stood there for a good 7 minutes. Finally, a sales person wandered my way, but another customer asked her for help before I was within talking radius. Really poor customer service. The service I received from Leah today at the Chandler Sephora was wonderful! Her upbeat personality and knowledge of products really showed through. I had come in acquiring about a product that had been discontinued and Leah was able to direct me to a perfect replacement. I visited this Sephora when I was traveling from out of town. I've been to many Sephoras and this was by far the filthiest Sephora I've ever been to. I walked in and started to browse, making my way towards the haircare products. When I spotted the brand I was looking for, I observed that every single item (and the shelf that the item rested on) was caked in dust. I pointed this out to one of the sales persons, but he didn't seem to care. I felt gross just being in there, which is not how I want to feel when I'm shopping for beauty products! read more
