The last couple times here, there is a woman who has been working who has a condescending demeanor and not at all like the rest of the kind staff. Today, I came in and witnessed her getting on the case of one of the employees right in front of people! I then watched her curious as to what would happen next. It was very clear that she went to an employee by the door and was taking badly about the gal she demeaned. I asked another employee who she was, in which the employee stated "she's our assistant manager" This woman is obviously on a power trip and nothing like the rest of the staff who has always been so friendly. In this day and age, I am shocked that managers like this still get to treat people like this. Do better and stop being a bully! read more

I was giving up going to Sephora's because they tend to be so bad these days ! ( I have been to at least 15 locations around the USA ) they are over crowded / can't walk and find items / dirty / too many teenagers clogging up the already poorly set up store & the employees don't know anything to help out with make up recommendations! This location was very clean and easy to walk around in . The employees are extremely nice , welcoming and the employee with the rainbow colored hair, knew her products ! I'm not a person that normally writes reviews. I'm a professional woman with limited time to shop. This location has gone down! Went into the store to by Bare Minerals makeup. It's the only color that compliments my skin. Totally disappointed that not only did the store reduce the Bare Minerals section but they are very limited in foundation colors for dark skin women. To top it off, not one staff member ask if I needed help or asked if everything was okay. There were 3 staff members working on one other patron to be concerned with helping a 45 year old woman. What a disappointing experience at this location! I was looking at a product and one of the sales associates who was assisting a customer just came and pushed themselves right in front of the display I was looking at with no regard, whatsoever. No excuse me, no apologies just hyper focused on helping The client with them instead of being courteous to the store as a whole. I made it a point to say oh excuse me in a frustrated tone, and they looked up and said oh ha ha sorry... Very very very rude and disappointing. Sephora is always a busy store, completely understood, but there is a tact to assisting your clients and still being courteous to the other customers in the store. Ruined my whole trip to the store. As we all know with COVID restrictions we have to wear masks. And as we all know, Sephora has perfumes and testers still out on the shelves. Well as I was shopping it was about 30 min till closed. May have been about 9 folks left in the store at the time. Myself and one other woman are smelling different perfumes well over 15 feet apart and nowhere near each other. An associate comes up to me as I'm shopping with my fiancé next to me and she tells me I HAVE to pull my mask over my nose in order to shop. I replied with "I understand that and have been, but how to do expect me to smell the perfume that YOUR store has on display?" She said my mask should not have to be below my nose that long to smell a fragrance. I said well wow, if I have a time limit with how long I can smell each perfume then we are out. I had two perfumes ready to buy in our hands and I said we're putting these down then, because it's evident you care more about people being over 15 feet away from each than you do helping your customer and getting a sale. I had no idea that this specific Sephora had changed closing hours to 8pm. I arrived at 8:05pm and noticed that workers were mopping so I tapped on the window and the first worker that saw me literally made eye contact with me and walked away. I showed my online order through the window to the other worker and asked her if I could please get my order and she didn't even look and my phone and just nodded her head no. I would completely understand if they had to charge me anything but I already payed for my order online all they had to do was hand it to me. Also I have worked in customer service for 16 years and I've never ever ignored any customers. They both acted very rude and unprofessional. Last night somehow my item wasn't place in my bag after purchase. I called this morning and was told "people call and do this" and so I provided my receipt information. The manager called back and said they viewed the video and it was put in bag. I didn't end up with it. Instead of offering to replace the item, they accused me of lying. I'm a professional woman who has spent 1000s there. I will never spend another $. When I called back to ask to speak to the manager, I was told I can wait on hold an hour. So frustrated with the attitude given by most of the workers. I don't know if they are judging or just think that everyone is stealing but, I can't get items I need without dirty looks. Anna approached me and my friends handed us a basket for our items even though I only had and was getting one item. "A trick retail workers use on thieves" We did nothing wrong and she tried to casually ask for all of our names which was super uncomfortable. I understand that they have to be on lookout for theft but I work in retail and the judging / actions by these workers especially Anna who made the whole situation awkward is out of line. I've been shopping at Sephora for over 10 years now. Both online and in stores. This Sephora store has everything you need and want. The employees there are polite and helpful. If you need to try new makeup, they are there to help you. They also have a special birthday club in which you get lil gifts for your birthday which is a nice perk! However I have had some issues ordering online from Sephora in the past. Some late arrivals or no packages at all! I would give online Sephora a 2 or 3 star rating. If you're able definitely try the stores instead of online! read more

All the brightly lit walls filled with shiny, black lacquer rows of my favorite beauty products -- makes me feel like nothing bad can happen in a place like this. Everything you need and everything you didn't know you needed, all in one stop shop. The sales staff here are always very polite and helpful, I've never had a bad experience or felt pressured to buy anything. One of the great things about shopping here is that Sephora stands behind their products and you can always return what you buy if it doesn't work out for you. read more

Rudest employees EVER!!! Walked in, was looked at, and the girl just turned around. Not even a smile. (Or at least a fake smile) I was looking to try out the Laura Mercier setting powder but there was no one to help me. The one girl that was walking around (looking clueless) had the crappiest expression on her face. (Like the I'm busy don't talk to me look) So I finally did approach some other girl and asking her to get the sample for me was like asking her to give me $100. Service is really hit or miss at this location. Weekends are a zoo, so it often takes forever even if I know exactly what product I want. I used to go with my dog since it is one of the places that allows well behaved dogs, but I started ordering online due to the service being so hit or miss. I understand busy. A greeting or acknowledgement is enough. Today they couldn't be bothered to acknowledge my existence as I just tried to find the Dior cosmetics aisle, so I went to Saks in Phoenix. Not one to leave yelp reviews but my girlfriend and I went in today to get a product I needed. After I'd grabbed it an employee asked if we needed help and I said actually my gf is looking for an eye cream to help plump her under eyes. She gave my gf and up and down look and said she didn't need eye cream but when on to ask what she uses in her curly hair. We told her and she basically went on to tell us she needed to switch products because her hair is really dry. She touched her hair and completely ignored our question and belittled my gf. Funny thing is I'm a hairdresser and I know exactly what products to use and she uses high quality hydrating products. Curly hair is naturally dry and hello- we live in AZ where the weather is extremely dry. Just think it was really rude of her to try and point out something she thought we needed when we didn't ask about that. This is with a doubt the worst sephora I have ever been to, and i have been to many of them! Upon arrival the store was dirty, disheveled and no employees bothered to greet me, or my sister! We walked in with the intention of purchasing a liquid eyeliner, lip glosses and mascara. We asked two different girls for help. Both times we were ignored. Finally my sister had enough and went directly to an employee and asked for help. The girl rolled her eyes several times and gave as much attitude as she could possibly muster. When my sister complimented her eyeliner she responded with "it's JUST Sephora" in a derogatory manner. Her lack of enthusiasm for JUST Sephora brand make-up has convinced me to never purchase JUST Sephora again. I will continue to purchase MAC and Estee Lauder. Overall the employees are rude, hateful and lack knowledge about make-up products. I will never return to this sorry excuse of a Sephora for as long as I live and I will continue to spread the truth about the b*****$ that work here! I hate to give a negative rating to Sephora but the treatment we received by the employees was outlandish and uncalled for! I guess Sephora doesn't care too much about the economic depression, but we consumers do; and I will continue to take my business to make-up personnel with knowledge, and manners who actually like the company they work for and support their brand. read more

I liked this sephora. Mainly because they did my makeup so well for my brother's wedding day. They also fit my sister in even though they don't really do walk-ins! It was really sweet of them and they did such a beautiful job. The makeup artists there are really skilled at what they do and they perfectly did the smokey eye look on us. You also have to make a purchase of I believe $50 or more on products to have your face done. I just bought whatever they used on my face that day (HD Forever foundation and red NARS lipstick). I've been absolutely in love with both. I think I'm gonna go buy some more soon :) Great staff, great products! read more

I love Sephora and hate to do this however I am finding it difficult to want to rate this any higher when it seems as though this store is always disorganized. This is the closest location to me when I visit Arizona however they seem to never know what is going on or have any of the items other stores carry. I was in last night for the VIB event and inquired on getting my make up done that weekend for a wedding; as opposed to taking the time to just open up their schedule/appointment book I was instructed to call in Friday. Well I called Friday, Friday morning, Friday afternoon and even left a message. No return call made - so I contacted Sephora's main hotline; the customer service rep was able to get in touch with the stores manager and guess what - no early appointments available. I wish I could have been told sooner as opposed to waiting around and now having to find a last minute solution when if I was told this last night, I could have looked elsewhere. Really well merchandised clean store. Everything and more! We brought our German Nanny here for her birthday, told the girl who was ringing us up. She couldn't have cared less. Hoped for a small sample or a happy birthday. Nothing. Generally speaking super uppity and unfriendly cashiers. They were however, happy to take our 500$. Disappointed. My experience with Sephora has not been pleasant. Every time I go in eachOf the make up stylists try to sell you as much make up as they possibly can and the most expensive make up. In the past time I went in the woman and the make up stylist had no idea how to shade match she gave me a shade at first I was way too light for my skin and then she gave me a Shade That was way too orange. I have tried to make returns between the United States and Canada and even though on the back of the receipt it says that you can And the customer service on the phone said that it shouldn't be an issue the rest of the store refused to make the return and did not make any effort to try to help me further. I will be avoiding Sephora in the future. read more

It's my favorite, it's all I use and it's only the most popular blush Nars makes. But, as usual Sephora is out of it. That's the thing about this place that I just don't get. How can you be out of stock on things you know people love? I have a certain lip gloss I love: out. Favorite moisturizer: out. Please. So I get they have precautions with covid however they are on your tail like no other store I have been in. This is the 3rd time I have been in this store since covid and planned on spending a good amount of money for gifts and walked out buying nothing due to being intensely followed. If my nose slipped out of my mask being told to pull it up immediately, you can't touch anything however they leave everything out. I was visiting Utah a few weeks ago and had a very pleasant "normal" experience (considering covid precautions) in 2 of the Sephora stores including Fashion Place and Farmington Station. I would think this store would figure out a better way to keep things covid compliant then to annoy their patrons so excessively. I was able to buy all of my gifts yesterday at Dillards with sales people who were helpful without being annoying. I will avoid this store and purchase at Department stores or Ulta whenever possible. read more

I'm a Rouge member which means I spend a lot on cosmetics. However I am an older woman & when I walk in the door they seem not to notice me. One will usually say hi but that's about it. Until I ask for something specific then they will show me where it is. I think it really depends on who's working at the time as to how much help you get. 99% of the reason we chose our neighborhood was due to its close proximity to Sephora- ok, maybe there were a few additional contributing factors, but a 5 minute drive to my favorite store isn't bad. This store is fantastic- I just waited over an hour in line to pick up an in demand eye shadow palette (dedication, I know) and these ladies handled the line it the most professional manner. They had 19 palettes to hand out and probably 25 people in line. Not everyone received one but not everyone was in line at 9:00 am :) I heard stories of other Sephora locations being sold out prior to launch day because they sold through their supply before they should have- so thank you San Tan Village Sephora for holding on to your stock and releasing on launch day! Mary, Elizabeth and Josh are so helpful (as are everyone else in the store). I love the classes that they offer and how knowledgable and friendly everyone is.
