I did reach out and let the owner know of my experience but only got the initial email back from her that wanted to know what happened. I will post the email below. I didn't have a good experience with Sherrylyn doing my brows and I wanted to let her know and all I was looking for the possibility to get the brows fixed. I wasn't trying to get my money back and I even mentioned I didn't want to be the first to give a bad review. "Let me start by saying I would have preferred to book with you in the first place but you're booked so far out and my schedule changes quite a bit. Yea I had the initial brow treatment and then the touch up 6 weeks later. My brows are very thin almost non existent from over plucking but also from some extreme stress that made a lot of my hair fall out about two years ago as well as my eyebrows. I told Sherrylyn that I just wanted my brows to look the way they have for 20+ years from me penciling them in (I came in with them like that as well) She mapped them out etc and I requested the arch be higher but everything else was fine. She wouldn't do the arch higher because that's "not how my face is shaped" or something's long those lines but that the touch up, if I still wanted the arch higher she would change the shape. After the first healing, I have one thick hair at the very top of where my arch is *supposed to be, that sticks straight up so I'm was going to again request the top come up because the last thing I wanted was to pluck one of the few hairs I have left. Another thing after the first session was that the right eyebrow disappeared about 80-90% but the left didn't. In fact the left as far as color saturation, was almost perfect. Cut to the second appt. I told her right away I didn't want to come out of the session with the left even darker and then the right still not caught up and she assured me it would be fixed no problem. She worked on both and I had the feeling it was going to be the same thing all over again. I also pointed out the right side edges were very blurred and needed to be crisped up a little. Regarding the arch, I told her I have hair sticking up outside of the brow ink and she still wouldn't bring the arch up. She said she couldn't make the arch higher without making the whole brow thicker so there went that. Towards the end of treatment two she said I might need another touch up but told her I wasn't coming back. I can't pay for a mistake she is making every 6 months and most importantly I can't do the healing process every 6 weeks either. Also wasn't going to come back to someone I no longer felt was competent to do the work. After the second treatment healed, the left is somehow worse with the tail end being darker that front and the right side is still super faded out and much lighter. I have to still put makeup over them in most settings and the worst part is that no one will fix someone else's work so I'm stuck with these until they fade away. I'm very active and already was set with the idea of having touch ups regularly every 6 months but that's gone now. I am very disappointed in my experience at CB because I thought I had done enough research in all brow studios and was very excited to have mine done there and I certainly thought I was in good hands with someone you trained." read more

I tried the brown lamination and tinting for the first time. Also it was my first time going to this place. Teegan created magic on my brows. They are thin and light in color and she talked me through the process and gave me some advice - don't go to a nail salon to get your brows done! I plan to go back in 6 weeks to get them redone. These ladies have done it again!!! I started off with getting my eyebrows microbladed by the talented Nancy and could not be more happy! A year later, my brows still look amazing. I called an asked for an experienced person. The person on the phone was rude to me. That was the first red flag. I sat for hours getting permanent eyeliner. A month later, it is imperceptible. I always see pictures of beautiful brows come from the work of Contour Brows, and I believe that is their norm. Unfortunately, I had a different experience. The artist that worked on my brows was In training. Due to a lack of oversight from the owner, she basically gave me "double brows" on each side. She had not done work on someone that already had microblading on the brows before. The owner, Nancy, did not oversee the process adequately and now after 4 attempted saline removals, laser tattoo removal, and almost a year of "waiting it out", I still have double brows. Nancy was focused on blaming her student instead of taking ownership of the fact that she did not provide the proper oversight to this trainee. I've paid for all the procedures to try and fix my brows with Contour Brows and and the cost to get the laser tattoo removal elsewhere. I have never been offered reimbursement for the money, even just the money to Contour Brows. Nancy had an uninterested attitude about helping me get this corrected. I felt like she was basically saying. ..sucks for you, too bad. Ironically, I have had to laser all over because of too much hair elsewhere... but brows were getting too thin. Figures, right?! I've had Trichotillomania since I was 8 years old. I haven't had eyebrows for at least 20 years which causes me anxiety on a daily basis. Did I draw my brows on right? So, like many Asian women, I've always had very sparse and thin eyebrows but have always colored in everyday to create the illusion of thickness... as I get older and older, I'm tired of doing it every morning! With kids and life in general, it's really become a daunting task, and not to mention, they look different everyday. Am I right, ladies??! Anyways, a couple of months ago, I started looking into microblading, and after much research, I decided it's definitely what I wanted to do. I came upon Nancy Nu's website through Yelp, I believe, because she has a PERFECT rating... and then when I saw her gallery of eyebrow results, my search for the right person ended there! In every photo, the eyebrows were clean, beautifully arched, and precise. I was still anxious about pain (since I don't even have tattoos) and how my brows would ultimately turn out, but I committed myself, made the appointment, and put the deposit money down so I wouldn't back out... and I'm so, so happy I did! Nancy is so friendly, easy to talk to, and is really an expert in this field. I told her I wanted microblading, and she educated me fully on both microblading and shading. She explained the difference between the two and she suggested shading would be a better decision. I totally trusted her advice and am so thankful for her wisdom! Nancy applies numbing cream so you barely feel anything at all. You do feel a slight uncomfortable about an hour into it but it's not painful. She checks in regularly to make sure you're okay. Afterwards, she's very thorough in explaining the after care instructions and she equips you with all of the after care healing products. She advised your eyebrows will look dark at first but will lighten up considerably... All in all, I'm so satisfied with the results. It's only day 3 and they look fantastic!! You can tell she is a true artist, so experienced in her craft, and I'm so happy I came to Nancy. She's my brow lady for life!!! I may even consider eyeliner next!
