I have been a loyal costumer since 2020. My experience with her recently has changed however. Shortly after I got my second full set (3 years ago) I have been unhappy with the tail end of one of my eyebrows being noticeably thicker. I've always just used makeup to even them out. Since its started to fade, it's gotten even more noticeable and bothersome, especially in pictures, as one eyebrow is consequently more arched. I never knew you could remove microblade until recently when my friend told me. As soon as I learned about this option, I asked Tia if she could help me and remove a couple strokes towards the tail end of my eyebrow. She immediately tried to discredit my concerns and said it looks like this because I haven't maintained my annual "color boosts" appointments. She told me I must sleep on the thinner eyebrow, which is not true. There has never been ink that thick on the other eyebrow, and it's always been slightly thinner. She recommended getting a full set WITH removal at the same time, but warned me that it will possibly remove new ink as well so I will have to come back to get it re-done shortly after. I asked her if I could just get it removed first, then come back for the full set after - that way I dont have to damage my skin back to back and risk my eyebrows looking messed up. She said if I do that route, it will be $300 per session and will probably consist of multiple sessions. $300 is what she charges for 2 FULL eyebrow removals and I only need a fraction of that. I would've paid half, but $300 is greedy! I can get 3 laser removal sessions for $100! Clearly she was trying to manipulate me into getting a full set so she can get more money upfront, without regards for my concerns. Why would I want to rush a process that is PERMANENTLY on my face? Overall I truly felt that she only cares about money, not the long term satisfaction of a customer that has never let anyone else touch their eyebrows. I felt penalized for not keeping up with "annual color boosts". I would have continued being her customer too, but I expect someone who actually cares about my concerns and doesn't try to minimize and invalidate them - even if they seem small or stupid to you. It's MY face and I notice this eyebrow every day. Very disappointing. read more

I wanted to share my experience with getting my eyebrows done by Tia. First off, she is an eyebrow goddess! I found Tia by reading reviews on Yelp and then stalking her on Instagram. Lol! After about a month of research I finally booked my appointment online. I drove to Scottsdale from Chandler and needed to bring my daughter with me. It was not a problem as we had the place to ourselves. The studio was decorated so cute and is attached to a spa (see photos). Lots of parking! After Tia drew on my brows for a stencil she needed to numb me. Microblading was painless (in my opinion). I had my brows tattooed many years ago and I remember it being very painful. Now onto the heading process! Ugh! The not so pretty but needs to be done part. Tia goes with the "dry healing" which basically means not getting your brows wet and no ointments. It was hard and an ugly but after 2 weeks I am very happy with the outcome. First time: If you are over drawing/ filling in your brows every morning, tia is the girl to help you! She takes the time to make sure your brows are absolutely perfect and your are 100% satisfied before she starts. Her work area is completely clean and sanitary and she makes sure you are comfortable during the procedure.. the pain is really minimal! Tia really took the time to listen to what you want the end result to look like and made sure that both brows were even. I felt so comfortable and would recommend Tia to anyone who is thinking about microblading! 6 months later: Tia is amazing!!! she originally did my brows in the first place. My eyebrows above my right eye all but disappeared and I was sick of filling them in every day (or, worse yet, forgetting to fill them in and then have people ask me what was different about my makeup!). They looked much better after my initial appointment and even better after my "perfection" appointment (which was unfortunately delayed last year due to COVID). Just had my first color boost and I am loving them. I still fill them in a bit (weirdly, now my right brow is darker than my left - Tia suggested it might be because I am sleeping on my left side), but it's so quick and I don't HAVE to do it. So happy to be able to leave the house without filling in my brows (who knew that would be a thing). Tia walks you through everything she plans to do and then again as she's doing it. She provides detailed after care instructions. And she's is very hygienic (even before COVID she was very, very careful with everything she touched and used), I've seen phlebotomists who aren't as careful as she is. Tia's work is awesome. I am writing this review one year after-the-fact. I wanted to be certain my assertions were accurate. This meant waiting over one year and having my brows done again elsewhere after my experience at Pretty In Ink. I chose Tia because of the great reviews and was wiling to pay more because of this. It had been over one year since my first microblading experience and my brows needed to be refreshed. Tia prefers (insists on) the dry method of healing. The first person I saw (who moved out of state) preferred the wet method of healing. My brows faded horribly after my first visit with Tia who insisted the dry method of healing worked best. I shared with her how the first time I used the wet method and experienced much less fading. She was adamant I must have done something to cause the fading because the dry method was the best. Who was I to have an opinion? I scheduled a follow up appt. as suggested and again followed Tia's instructions to the tee. The outcome was the same. My brows faded and I was left with a solid, orange colored brow. I was incredibly disappointed in the outcome especially after spending $600. I was recently referred to Karyn Smith, who has been doing permanent make-up for years. Karyn was able to cover up the ugly orange brows I was left with using expert microblading skills. I used the wet method of healing and had very little fading. A quick touch up 30 days later left my brows looking great. Karyn did a great job for less money. I learned paying more does not necessarily mean better outcomes. read more

Tia Marie is AMAZING! A true artist who provides excellent service (she responded immediately to all of my questions/concerns! literally within minutes). I started researching permanent eyebrow makeup, after my boss/friend came to me with an "eyebrow intervention". Sadly, to say, this was not the first person who has tried to help me with my brows. She suggested I start watching makeup tutorials and gave me a few personal lessons along with brow powder and liner. No matter how many YouTube videos I watched, diagrams I followed or advice from my artistically gifted friends, I simply did not have the talent to draw on my eyebrows. I showed up at Pretty in Pink with two completely different, poorly shaped brows. My brows were not even remotely close to each other and were not symmetric to my face. I am 50% Norwegian along with German, French and just enough Greek to make matching my hair/skin nearly impossible.
