I have been a patient for 2 years, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Art Kesh. I get the reminders for my bloodwork prior to my appt and go to Sonora Quest about a week before my follow ups. Art is very thorough with my lab work and answers all of questions I never feel rushed or dismissed. Everything recommended has helped me feel better and better. The office is responsive with my text messages which is a nice offering. I have no complaints. read more

I cannot say enough about my experience with Balance Hormone Center and specifically Jose Ivan Rago MD. As a 51 year old woman with a history of a partial hysterectomy, I had reached a point where I was doing everything right on paper. I was working out consistently, eating well, and staying disciplined with my health. Even with all of that, I still did not feel like myself. The drop in energy, loss of lean muscle, and overall decline in vitality was real and frustrating. Dr. Rago changed that. What sets him apart is not just his credentials, but his clinical judgment and individualized approach. Dr. Rago is a trustworthy wealth of knowledge expert, please make sure to schedule a consultation. This is not a one size fits all clinic. My treatment plan started with HRT pellets and has now transitioned into testosterone injections, all carefully tailored to my physiology, symptoms, and personal goals. That level of precision matters. The results have been undeniable. I have maintained lean muscle, regained steady energy, and most importantly restored a sense of vitality and confidence that I had not felt in years. My strength, recovery, and libido have all improved in a way that feels both natural and sustainable. For context, I have worked with three different hormone therapy providers before this. As someone with clinical knowledge, I do not make statements like this lightly. I fully trust Dr. Rago's care. His approach is balanced, evidence informed, and grounded in real outcomes. At 51, I can confidently say I feel better than ever, and that is directly because I am in his care. If you are a woman navigating post hysterectomy changes, hormonal imbalance, or simply not feeling like yourself despite doing everything right, this is the level of care you want. Thank you, Dr. Rago. read more

Run...do not walk. I wish I would have checked the reviews first...they are horrible and very accurate. My experience with this center was extremely disappointing due to repeated issues with communication, scheduling and the overall lack of knowledge with patient care. Front office staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful rather than addressing the issues professionally. Additionally, I felt like i was just a revenue stream. My medical questions and concerns were rushed, and incompetent. They only want your money and could care less about providing quality care. My provider Art knows nothing about female hormones, I new more than he did. They also break Hipaa laws, literally calling out your birthdate and medication you are picking up in front of everyone in the lobby. I have this on recording. I am filing a complaint with the Arizona Medical Board, with many more details of their extreme negligence. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RECKLESS, INCOMPETENT, NEGLIGENT, AND DANGEROUS PRACTICE!!!!! As a patient of over 2 years, I can confidently say that this clinic couldn't care less about the health or wellbeing of their patients. The fact that the "doctors" and "nurses" at this clinic have the ability to compound and prescribe medication is truly terrifying. In the 2+ years that I went there, the "nurse" that I saw (Erica Barajas) was never able to diagnose or treat my symptoms, outside of simply reading my labs to me and prescribing medication. When I would express concerns about symptoms I was still experiencing, or new symptoms I was having, she would either have no answers for me, or she'd suggest adding another supplement or upping my medication. She recently prescribed me Tirzepatide, which is compounded at an outside facility, and recklessly prescribed and distributed by Balance. I took only 1 dose and it nearly put me in the hospital. I went to urgent care twice, as well as numerous doctors, and none of them could help me because they didn't compound the medication or truly know what was in it. I reached out to Balance numerous times expressing this urgent concern, and the front office staff completely blew me off and disregarded me, despite me conveying that this was a medical emergency. Absolutely could not have cared less and didn't even pretend to!! Their only response was that my "doctor" is in twice per week and that she'd respond when she could. It took a week for Erica to finally respond to me, despite my numerous calls and text messages, and when she finally did, it was a single text message right before closing time saying "what are your symptoms?". The complete negligence and disregard by their entire practice is absolutely sickening!!! How they are still operating is truly mind blowing. I HIGHLY CAUTION anyone to go to this clinic. They have absolutely ZERO regard for their patients, and ZERO business compounding, prescribing, and distributing medication that they refuse to take responsibility for. I think this goes without saying, but I am absolutely APPALLED by the way that I was treated, ignored, and completely disregarded after being a client of 2+ years!!! In addition to blowing me off and ignoring me, they also blew off my primary care doctor's numerous requests for my 2+ years of labs and medical records. This place is a JOKE!!!! THE WAY THAT THEY DO "BUSINESS" AND TREAT EVEN THEIR LONG-TERM CLIENTS IS SHAMEFUL AND DISGUSTING!!!! I HIGHLY recommend going to a REAL doctor for HRT. Not to mention my medications are actually regulated, and less than 1/3 of the price I was paying at Balance. read more

Literally the most thorough visit I've ever had with a physician. Art Kesh was amazing. Went through my bloodwork one line at a time and explained everything to me. He also provided multiple options for treatment including natural supplements. I wish all doctors could be like him. read more

I have been coming to this location about 2 years or more. When I first starting going, people were fantastic! Swift service and always treating you special. Since they moved to the space next door the last few months, service of the staff has dropped significantly. Time waiting for medications has increased. When I showed up for bloodwork and was seen promptly but thereafter the wait time was ridiculous. Let's just say I arrived at 917 and left at 1015. And I still didn't have my meds. When I approached the front desk with how much longer it would be for meds she said it would be much longer than 5 min. I had to go to work so I said I would come back later. This long wait time has not occurred to me before. I also watched as I waited on my meds other people come out of their dr appt and be called to grab their meds within a couple of minutes of sitting down in waiting room. WTH? my husband wanted to become a new patient here and I took home their forms to complete but after this experience I am not sure he will proceed with this center. I am considering moving on myself. I do love the doctors here. Their front desk staff needs better management. The staff there now is not very friendly. It's that fake friendliness that you can see thru and it's like you are bothering them. BTW there was never an apology for having to wait as long even when i asked how much longer it would be when I indicated I would have to leave in 5 min to go back to work. Not good management. Not sure what has happened but definitely a change has occurred read more

I've decided to find another situation and am moving on from BHC. My doctor is great but the front office arrangement is never a good experience. I have had calls not returned, and text messages not responded to (although it's their preference to text). Further, signing in and waiting even when just picking up prescription is really obnoxious. They don't care if you wait thirty minutes for pick up. They happily ignore the people sitting in the waiting room while they discuss office matters, personal lives, whatever. They will have three or more people at the front desk - and no one even acknowledges the person who is checked in and waiting. I just don't get it - why de-prioritize your customers? At some point BHC will realize that customer service does matter and will have a reception strategy that doesn't place customers last. read more

BEWARE! I was referred to Balance Hormone Center by a friend because I had mentioned that I was feeling very off, lack of energy, was unable to concentrate, had unexplained weight gain, and had night sweats. Even though it was over 30 miles away I was willing to give it a shot based on the referral and how bad I felt. They had me go in for a blood draw prior to the actual appointment so we had the information needed to figure out what was going on, which I appreciated. That is the only positive thing I have to say about their setup/model. The nightmare began on the first visit. The provider showed me that I was not only post-menopause, but my thyroid was also off (no wonder I felt like complete garbage). I thought it was strange that they seemed to hyper-focus on my sex drive, particularly if I had one. I felt that they waved off my other concerns (listed above). They put me on Armour Thyroid and started me on progesterone and testosterone, made a follow-up appointment for two months out, and sent me on my way. On my second appointment, we reviewed my lab results, which showed that my thyroid was still off, and my testosterone was spiked too high. I asked about the thyroid levels, if your levels are off it does not matter what other hormones you take, it will throw everything off. They shrugged it off and suggested I take double the dose but then hyper-focused yet again on my sex drive. I started to think that my body just couldn't get my levels figured out. I hope you see the pattern forming, every two months same discussion about why my thyroid was still off and then hyper-focus on my sex drive, I was even asked if my nipples were tender as a direct response as to why my thyroid was off! That was my last visit to Balance. Now for the money-making racket, they have going. I was paying $225 for two months' supply of progesterone troches and testosterone injections. For comparison, I now get my progesterone, in pill form, for $24 for a 90-day supply! A 60-day supply of my testosterone with estradiol (Balance refused to give me the estradiol) troches is only $55! As for my thyroid med, I learned that Armour is the most unstable medication you can take, yet they never suggested anything else. I made the MISTAKE of going to Balance for 9 months! I hope this review keeps you from making the same mistake I did. Do some research and find a provider that cares about your well-being, not how much money they can make. I now know that all Balance cares about is the revenue from the hormones they sell to keep on coming in. They did not care about my health or well-being. I have since heard similar tales from former patients. Our stories vary a bit, but all have the commonality of the hyper-focus on sex drive while charging incredibly inflated prices for the hormones. read more

There is a couple providers here who are generally concerned and caring. But unfortunately others are very unprofessional and do not listen. Dr. Nicole Mitten stepped way out of line in how she spoke and treated my wife. If you want to feel like your doctor cares and puts you first don't see her. read more

Do NOT GO Here! The way that their front office staff treats patients is horrible!!!! I will never go back to this place. Awful! Save your money & time and go somewhere else. read more

So I been coming here for about a year and it seems they are very help to get you in the door for your first visit but after that they don't seem to care about concerns you have. Any time I call to setup an appointment I seem to get hung up on and when I raised my concern the front office they did not seem to care. Also they have you get your blood drawn first and are supposed to schedule you out 2 weeks in order to get the lab results and yet when you call to make the appointment they schedule out 2 months out ‍ they need to do better especially the ladies working the front desk. read more
