I initially had my brows done at another place in Scottsdale. What a drastic mistake that decision was! I was completely appalled by what was done to my eyebrows. I immediately told her the color was way too light and the shape was wrong. She said she would fix the issues on my touch up appointment, which based on the context of that conversation, I thought was included. Not so. When the appointment date came to fix the issues, I received a voice message that she wanted an additional $100 at the time of the appointment. Right!?!?! I cancelled! The only reason I even considered it was because I thought it was included in the initial charge, which was high! Even not knowing that, I was already on the fence about going back. That just made my decision for me. I went to the place because I was tired of having to use pencil/powder to fill in my eyebrows. Afterward I could not go a day without the pencil/powder. EVER!!! It was awful! Tia's professionalism and her concern for the issues with my eyebrows gave me confidence in her work. It took a lot of effort, but Tia managed to cover the mess, with the exception of an area that did not follow my bone structure and I pray will fade. The line is too low to work with. Tia said to give it 30 days to do a final critique, but right out of the gate there was no comparison to Tia's talent versus Marilyn's. I am very happy with my results thus far. Tia is the best. I found her by reading reviews on yelp, and let me tell you I read sooo many reviews of lots of different microblading places in Scottsdale. I decided on Tia for two reasons: 1 because all of the reviews written about her were so personal and 2 because I prefer the way she shapes brows. By this, I mean that when I looked at other highly rated places, it looked like the brows of the women whose pictures were featured were just darker and more prominent. I didn't want to get my freaking eyebrows tattooed so that they'd just look like a more obvious version of what (little brows) I already had! I wanted them to permanently look perfect, that's the point of filling them in every day, after all, to improve them, right? Anyways, Tia is totally worth the wait. She is truly an expert, so knowledgeable. You can ask her anything and she'll not only tell you everything you could ever want to know about it, but she'll also be totally honest about her opinion. If she thought something wouldn't look good on you, she'd tell you, and I respect that. She has the perfect balance of art and science when it comes to microblading, because on one hand, everybody knows that you're eyebrows are "sisters not twins", but on the other hand, she precisely measures everything so that your brows are the right length, right distance from your nose, etc. And she was really patient while I took ages looking at my eyebrows in the mirror making sure they were even. They were. Obviously. This is why you don't need to do a "consult" as with most places. Tia just knows whats best for your face. I don't even live in the US, I live in Milan. I just come back to visit my family a couple of times a year. That's how serious I am about seeing Tia. And I'm not the only one, while I was there, there was another girl around my age (early 20s) from Wyoming (I think) who was visiting her family somewhere in AZ, hours away from Scottsdale, and she was waiting for Tia. Oh yeah and don't worry about the healing process- so for me the first 10 days were the easiest, it's the weeks after where you start peeling. It's not great, but it's really not that bad considering the results. Like, I can wake up in the morning and casually leave my house without having to think about putting any make up on. Even on days where I "didn't wear make up" before, I would still never consider leaving the house without doing my brows. Now every day is a literal "I woke up like this" day. When you go to get microbladed you are literally trusting someone with your face. The only people I trust with my face are Tia and my cosmetic surgeon. The most natural transformation! I never spent much time on my eyebrows, other than over plucking them in the 90s, so I was left with very thin, shapeless, almost invisible brows. I came in without any idea of what I was looking for as far as end results other than I wanted to look natural. I went to have my Eyebrows done & my eyeliner top & bottom , I must say I really liked Tia but am very unsatisfied with my procedure , unfortunately over 1,000 spent and you could never tell I had my eyeliner tattooed except for a small spot that took on the bottom of my eyelid , I tried to let her know how it turned out & all she offered was for me to pay more money to fix it !!! I even mentioned to her when it was done that it was not thick or dark enough like the picture you showed me & her reply was it will get darker as it heals , well it didn't & now she wants more money to fix the bad job , so now I walk around with 1 lower eyelid tattooed , what a waste of money !! I would not recommend her to anyone or she needs to rewrite her policy to if it does not turn out like you wanted it will be corrected ! out over 1,000 & unsatisfied ! I just had my eyebrows micro bladed and she did a great job. I have always struggled because they were to blonde and many wax centers taking off more than the other leaving barely nothing at all. I disliked having to use powder and pencils to color them in. I would always have one that didn't match the other and it was a struggle all the time. Pretty In Ink did them and she made it so easy, she explained everything and was very sanitary. I was a little nervous since it was by the eye but it doesn't hurt. This review is for eyebrow microblading from 2 weeks ago. I waited to review until after my brows healed and I am seeing more permanent results. The process itself was good. Tia keeps a clean professional shop. I was there for 2 hours in and out. She was very meticulous with her work. She worked with me to be sure I liked the color and shape of my brows. The process itself was pretty painful for me, despite the ample amount of anesthetic applied. I have never had a tattoo, I have had laser hair removal and waxing, comparatively, this was up there with laser for me, but so far based on the results, worth it. Tia was really great during the process, by chatting with me to distract me from the pain. The healing process was smooth. I have a thick brow line with dark hair, so I looked pretty ridiculous the first 3 days during the healing process. I stuck to wearing a hat and did not have to work those days, and it was in no way painful, so it was fine. I followed her aftercare directions 100% and so far my brows are looking great. They look totally natural, I am still getting used to the fact that I wake up with perfect brows and do not have to apply them every day. I have had many compliments from friends and family about how good they turned out. I will go back to Tia for other services for sure. read more

My brows were previously done in the "solid" manner and were very faded and turning orange, yikes! Having my eyebrows permanently done by Tia of Pretty in Ink was a heartening experience. I was warmly greeted for my appointment and she got right to work, sketching a "template" for microblading my new brows. Tia is very meticulous with each step of the process; she drew and re-drew and re-drew the template until she and I were satisfied with the drawings. As I waited for the numbing agent to take effect, we chose the right ink to match my hair color and she even added a little "warmth" of another shade to be more precise. She took the next two hours forming, checking, forming, rechecking, forming, getting another tool for the right size she needed, rechecking. And then she asked me to see where I thought changes needed to be made. Needless to say, Tia is perfectionistic and that is a mighty good trait to have in your aesthetician/cosmetician (or whatever they call it these days) especially since their procedures involve permanent changes on the face that you will look at every single day in the mirror. Through this experience, I was very pleased to learn that professionalism, friendliness and making the extra effort to do a great job are not things of the past nor distinct from each other. My brows are finally a month old and look wonderful.
