I came here about an hour before closing with my friend to browse the makeup selection. We ended up finding a couple of products we liked and spent over $100. Two of the girls working there were incredibly helpful, friendly, and made our shopping experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by another employee who seemed irritated that we were still shopping close to closing time. She had a very unfriendly attitude and made us feel rushed instead of welcomed. It could have been a 5-star experience, but her behavior really left a bad impression. Too bad I didn't get her name, but management will probably know who I'm referring to because her attitude definitely stands out. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and the staff were ready to help. Anytime I'm looking for a new skincare product or perfume the staff impress me with their patience, knowledge, and genuine passion for the skincare and fragrance. It's pretty calm during the day but it can get packed, especially if there's a sale. The shelves tend to be to be well stocked, clean, and organized earlier in the day, but things can look a little frazzled the later in the evening you go. If there's anything that could add to the experience here, it would be expand their fragrance collection and add new brands to the shelves. read more

Love that there is finally a free standing store not connected to a mall. This store is always up to date with the latest releases seen on instagram, tik tok and just generally online. I also appreciate that all the new launches are always at the front because it makes it easier to go for what you're looking for. One suggestion is making sure someone is going around sharpening all the lip liners so that it isn't hard to interrupt an associate who's with a client. Second suggestion is to maybe have more associates check people out who have a few items because there always tends to be a long line. All in all, love this location. read more

To be gaslight in Sephora by an employee was quite the experience. I came to return a brand new product that had gone bad. Rancid smell and product (foundation) had separated. I show the employee the product that was visibly spoiled and said smell it the oil has separated and gone rancid. Her response "that's how it smells and that's why no one buys that product". I explain I've been happily using it for years and it does not look or smell this way. Her response "it always smells weird that's why I won't use it". Ummm okay I'm just trying to replace a product I don't have the time for you to tell me I'm wrong and the only one that enjoys the product. Anywhoooo I left without purchasing my basket full of new products or replacing my defective one. On top of that the store is absolutely filthy. The manager here, her name is Maria, was really rude and I'd drive extra to go to another sephora to get better help and not give this location a bother because the manager on site is so rude you won't get any real courtesy or help. Went to Sephora at Empire Center today. Walked into the store and went on a search for some concealer. While looking at all of the choices as far as shades go I was kind of overwhelmed. There were a group of 4 Sephora employees in their black outfits a few feet from me having a big chat. 3 times I looked over at them and they definitely saw me but no one came over to ask if I needed help. everytime i come to this location, the employees find a new way to make me feel like a bother. i also work retail, so ive tried to be sympathetic but sometimes working with the public is rough but today i think this location will go in my burn book. today i got up to the register and had a $75 gift card my friend from my hometown-a brisk 2,500 miles away, this matters later- got me for my birthday. dude you would've thought i walked up to the register and announced i had the plague. i didn't realize gift cards were so controversial??? the woman treated it like it was a diseased tissue, then had me "peel off" where the numbers were-i have arthritis really bad so this was making my hands shake which was so awesome after miss girl already made me feel uncomfortable -and proceeded to tell me i did it incorrectly lol like i should've known better on how to properly peel back a gift card security sticker thing. then told me it was essentially unable to be used and id need to go back to where i got it, yeah diva let me drive 2,500 miles!! i asked another woman around the exit and she said there was a number i could call and they'd assist me since her having me peel the sticker back peeled off some of the numbers and that they cannot scratch it off for customers anymore....i would've scratched the dang thing off myself if i knew i was coming in to this humiliation ritual. all of this being said, these employees gotta calm down. yall aren't running the Trauma OR at Cedars, it's Sephora. and if you find people that annoying, there are soooo many other jobs you can choose where you don't have to interact with humans. read more

I understand that theft happens a lot these days, but there's a fine line between necessary monitoring and racial profiling. My 12 year old really wanted to learn how to apply makeup the right way because she's in middle school and that's what the girls are getting into at that age. For a Christmas present last year my sister gifted her with a makeover tutorial and today was that day. We absolutely loved her MUA Bri. She was so age appropriate and chose products that are popular with girls my daughter's age. She would do one side of my daughter's face to show her the proper technique and then my daughter would do the other side of her face so Bri could correct her if she needed it. We loved all of the products she used, things were explained in case we didn't understand, and she left feeling so confident, which was priceless. She got so many compliments after the fact on her makeup when we went places afterward today. I won't hesitate if we need Bri again for a special occasion in the future. I hate writing bad reviews because I work in customer service and know how hard it is to perform a job like this. But specifically one lady that worked for this Sephora was beyond rude, despite everyone else being annoyed at the customers but at least respectful and professional. I didn't catch her name but she had black hair in a slicked back pony tail and was in one of the middle isles going towards the checkout line. Anyways, we accidentally bumped into each other in the isle. I apologized immediately and she turned and looked at me up and down with disgust and turned back around. It wasn't like she didn't hear me either, she took a long pause to give me that look. I was so shocked by this behavior, especially by someone who is literally a customer service worker, that I left quickly after purchasing a perfume. It feels like there are so much staff loitering around the store and they are just breathing down people's neck against their own will, because they are making sure no one steals to the point where it's pretty hard to enjoy your experience shopping. Absolutely terrible!!!! It's like walking through a horror film. The entire store is filthy. I advise walking in with gloves and protective gear. The testers are filthy, there is trash everywhere, trash bins are overflowing, the floor is inherently dirty. The only kind associate that helped me was Mineh. A company that is worth over $37 billion in revenue can certainly afford to implement sanitary measures. As soon as I walked out I submerged my hands with hand sanitizer. read more

ITS NOT HELPFUL. I'm still fuming over my visit to this Sephora earlier today. I don't have a lot of time to myself to shop alone, but today I had a few hours and I was excited to wander around and check out what's new. I'd also just gotten paid and wanted to get a jump on some Christmas shopping. I put in my headphones and set about sampling perfumes and makeup. I was promptly greeted warmly by a salesperson who I let know I was good and didn't need any help. About 4 minutes later another woman wanted to know how I was doing, so I took out my headphones to tell her I was good. Four minutes after that another person interrupted me to see how I was doing and after that, someone else. I moved to the other side of the store but this only caused even more Sephora workers to hover up next to me, wanting to help. I began to respond with more irritation with each new lady checking on me. In 30 minutes I had 6 sales people ask to assist me at least twice. Are you kidding me? How is this helpful??? I came to shop, enjoy some alone time and spend money, but it became only about anticipating the next person coming up to interrupt me. I was pushed so hard that I had to snap at the last woman "I'M GOOD, OKAY?" It wasn't just me. Since I was absolutely not going to be buying anything from Sephora ever again I decided to look around and see what the other customers were experiencing. Two other women were also trying to shop while being tag-teamed by associates. There was hardly 5 minutes between each time they were contacted, and one of the customers was visibly annoyed. There were obviously way, way too many workers on the floor with too few customers to service. Reading the just awful reviews for this location, it seems this store can't figure out how to train their workers or how to have a decent worker/customer ratio. What is the store policy that a customer has to be accosted like this? If I need help, I know how to find one of the workers on the floor, and I know how to verbally request assistance. I understand being greeted upon arrival and maybe--MAYBE--having someone touch base with me 20 minutes later, but what happened today is straight up harassment. I usually don't review big brands or chain stores because I find it pointless, but I'm just super confused. I was browsing around the store when an employee asked if they could help, I asked her to help me find a perfume travel size that I wanted. She led me to two different locations at the store where the item could be found and then stated something like "if it's not out on the floor we don't have it". I get into my car and look up the item online when the app notifies me that they have it in store for store pick up. I order it and literally 40 mins later, the app lets me know that it's ready to be picked up. I'm confused as to why employees go around asking to help, when they're not going to actually look for the item that is clearly in stock. She never offered to check online, check the drawers or the back to see if it was in stock. Could have saved me a double trip. read more

Two Sephora employees were very helpful. It was my first time coming here and I didn't really know where the things I wanted were, and the first employee helped me find my items. The second employee helped me pick out a concealer. I've never felt the need for concealer, but now that I am older I felt it was time I started to. However, had no clue what shade I was.. The second employee really took her time to help me and find the best match for my under eyes, she was so nice!
