It started as a little shop on Victory, and over the decades it's become part of my life in a way most stores never do. Years later, when I became a professional makeup artist, this is where I bought my very first kit, a huge haul of products to start my career. That was a full-circle moment for me. I buy almost everything cosmetics-related here, and the fact that it's stayed consistent and reliable through all these years says everything. Samantha was an absolute gem - she helped me with my hair color and went out of her way to make sure I was secure. Her manager Tracey was very supportive and Samantha proved to me that true customer care and service still exists. This airy light space is jam packed full of everything 'beauty' including my favorite brand of color 'Satin' and 'fresh' perfume and pretty products. Remember 'brown sugar' by 'fresh'? It used to be sold in all the most luxurious shopping departments but has since been hard to locate. I wouldn't go anywhere else for beauty supplies and it is truly different from the rest. I've been going to Namies for well over a decade and ADORE it!!! I was in the beauty industry right after high school and if you can provide them with verification you work in it like a cosmetology license esthetician license some sort of legit proof you're a make up artist (I showed them my employee badge and my license) to this day I get 20% or more discount off a GIANT list of brands! This includes hair care, skin care, make up, prosthetics, anything and everything beauty related. They even have a professional spray tan machine my sister and I were going to go in half's on at one point but we didn't know where we would store it and a tent for it lol but that's how much stuff they have! So it's product PARADISE, it was amazing getting lashes for under a dollar for my professional make up kit and hot hair tools that were professional use!!I swear I had a straightener that lasted about 8 years until I stepped on it dang! The quality is amazing! Also a little plus is a couple occasions I saw a couple real housewives from bravo shopping here and at the location by valley village, and that stopped me right in my tracks because I do get starstruck a freeze hehe. Naimies! My go to place for anything beauty related. I frequent this location at least 3 times a month or whenever Dose Of Colors, Huda Beauty and Kayali have a new release. My favorite associate is Veronica. She is the absolute sweetest. Knowledgeable and always ready to call the other location if I need a product they don't have. The store is really spacious and up to date with everything. Love that they always carry amazing holiday gifts. read more

Sephora for MUA, Naimie's carries everything, and I mean everything, from MAC to Girlatic to MOB Beauty to little makeup tools you need to buy by 100s on Amazon but in manageable sizes. I've found this location to be frequently low in stock on many items so you might want to call ahead but it's so fun to browse and test various products I don't really mind. Plus brands often have pop ups there - like MOB Beauty where their chemist Vic made one of a kind frosted lipsticks for us to take home!!! Ample albeit weirdly layed out parking. read more

I walked into this place to get a clarifying shampoo, and the person helping me was amazing!

Everytime I need travel sized toiletries or industry make-up, tools, etc. I try to go here. Not only do they have a huge selection - kind of like a warehouse for beauty supplies - but staff are super helpful / experts. I've come in to do my own shopping, and also have been assisted for halloween make-up (which,they also carry fake blood, etc. the works!). They knew the products, had different price-tier ranges of recommended items, and we got a discount for getting helped. They tend to have business hours so they may close earlier than you'd think, but love that they have their own parking lot. It's always nice to know we can access industry standards at affordable prices and not from a big chain store. read more

Love shopping for work materials on their website. They have a great variety of beauty products that make my MUA kit excellent. They package items in such a thoughtful way, they arrive perfectly and in a timely manner. Sometimes I get samples, which is great since I tend to stick to certain brands. I like carrying products that are quality and I have a few allergies that I have to watch out for, so trying things before hand usually helps me. I do a lot of print work commercials, and love having a variety of makeup that is theatrical and high end. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Highly recommended read more

This beauty supply took a long time to come back from Covid and I don't know that it has fully returned really. It is not as robust and well-stocked as it used to be, and the help has never been a big selling point. Prices are list for the most part. I got for tools mainly and some haircare and I appreciate it being in the neighborhood. But I wish it was more upbeat retail expereince. read more

I knew about Naimie's for years from make-up artists friends, I checked it out years ago but just did some browsing around and left. I admit, I am not much into make-up and hair for myself, so these kind of stores intimidate me and they overwhelm me. But recently I needed some fake blood and I stopped by to check out their selection which is not existent anymore for FX. More regular Make-up products and Hair care, lots of merchandise. Prices are on the higher side, good parking in their lot (pretty big), just OK customer service, not very impressed. You might get deals if you are a pro. read more

As a business owner, customer service is everything. I have a newborn child at home and it's hard to just go to stores whenever i feel like it. My husband got home from work and i rushed to naimies. My navigation was showing me 5:59 and they close at 6. I called them and asked if they'd be closing exactly on the dot 6, they said yes. If i get there 5:59 that's fine. I ended up making it at 5:58 and i literally just needed to grab one product. I walk in and all the employees are already by the door waiting to get off. They stare at me so awfully i felt so uncomfortable. One of the employees asks me if she can help me and i told her what i wanted. The manager I'm assuming a man came and said "i just closed the registers sorry" and at this point it was 5:59. I took time out of my day and rushed over there and I'm a paying customer. It's THEIR fault for closing a minute earlier. It would've taken them 1 minute at the most to ring me up but I felt so uncomfortable. I'll never be back here. They told me whatever I wanted was out of stock but I don't even believe that. They probably just didn't want to ring me up. Awful customer service. read more

I live very close to this store and I have passed by here countless of times but never went inside. Why? Because of the negative reviews so I thought why waste my time. Yesterday I was in the area but was too early to meet someone. This is the only establishment nearby so I decided to come in and browse around. Well, it's a good thing I did cuz it looks like the store improved a lot since the negative reviews. Lots of private parking spaces. As soon as I entered the store, I noticed the nice smell. Its a lot bigger than I thought. It's clean and the shelves are stocked. I saw several people inside but not a single employee aside from the two cashiers checking out customers' purchase. Until someone came to assist two other ladies. It's my cue to leave haha. I'll definitely be back to spend more time. read more

Henry is very kind and talented. He was able to match a William Tuttle foundation to my very complex shade. William Tuttle brand is very tricky as the colors on display are in alphabetical order, aka there's no scale from dark to light, it's all mixed up. This is the first time I saw a William Tuttle tester section, Nigel's does not have a tester section for WT. Henry not only found my perfect match, but he was very knowledgeable about the company and product and I loved that he was able to educate me about this product. Henry is a gem, a true artist. Location is great, huge private free parking lot, clean, can bring your well behaved doggie, wonderful staff. So I am going to take off one star for a few reasons: I remember back in the early 2000's at the original Naimie's location they used to have a back area with pro tools that were kind of off market brands. It was awesome, $3 nail brushes, $2 puffs, all sorts of containers etc. please I beg of you, bring this back and bring it to the Burbank location. I'm not sure why they got rid of it, but Naimie's was the only shop that I knew of that had a set up like that. I'm sure there were people shop lifting and it was probably just too hard to keep it going, idk but from a branding stand point that was a very unique and different part of the store that literally no other competing makeup stores had and they got rid of it. It was so popular I would bump into friends all the time, everyone just loved stocking up on those things! Next another star is removed because I didn't see much pro artist items like wedge sponges in bulk, puffs in bulk, special petite pointe q tips in bulk, loose lashes... I go out of my way to shops like Naimie's and Nigel's to get specialty things that you can only find at specialty stores yet I found this Naimie's Burbank store to feel more like an Ulta and Sephora. I want more unique products. Lastly, I am sad that while we found my perfect match from WT, I wasn't able to purchase it because so many shades from the brand were out of stock. Henry did everything in his power to try and find the shade I was looking for and no luck. Perhaps times are changing, but I would like to see more attention to the pro artist speciality tools moment. I like to stock up on wedges and puffs and all these little items. That's truly what I loved about Naimie's. Glad they're still in business but I hope when I return for my next shopping day it'll be an actual haul with loads of specialty artist essentials. I bought a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, hair gel. All in the advice of the attendant. Well over $100. First off no prices on anything- makes no sense but that is their policy. Second of all I used the line I was recommended once and it made my hair a frizz ball and didn't wash my hair clean- I packed it up and went there on a Sunday they were closed - my bad. Was headed there again but thought I'd call first today is Saturday but I was told opened products are not returnable. So I threw about $140 down the toilet for products they recommended that didn't work. Not going there again. read more

I used to have a friend who did makeup and she would always rave about this place in North Hollywood. Not to be confused with Frendz or 'the other one', I had some time to make my way on over during the week. When you walk in, there are three 'rooms' where you have additional makeup to your left, then further to the right is the hair/wigs area. I usually stay within the main room since that is where the false lashes and hair care items such as shampoo, etc. The only downside-or upside, depending on how you look at it-is that I never leave empty handed. There is always something I find that I like (not necessarily need) from eyelashes to hair accessories to cosmetics. I'm due to return soon, and I am looking forward to going! There are a few parking spots in the back that are kind of cramped, so consider street parking as a precaution. So let me start by saying that Ray is a Ray of sunshine! I usually go to the valley village one but decided to give this one a try since I was in the area and had just left Ulta. Ray helped me as soon as I seemed lost looking for foundation, brow brush and got me buying some Elcie stuff that I have been meaning to try. She also gave me a sample of a sunscreen she thought I could use and gave a great alternative on hair leave in conditioner by Marco. I went in for Saint and Sinners so I will be returning once it's in stock. But I just had to write this review on how wonderful and kind she was to me and my bestie.
