This 5 is for Ezra and the male employee that helped me pick out "beachy" perfumes last month and recommended this bombshell perfume that I added to my collection. They are awesome. Both were at the store this evening. I know this store can off a bit.. well, I saw a possible reason why. There are a lot of parents that bring their kids in and when the kids out number the adults or the adults don't mind their kids, it creates chaos in the store. If you do this. Stop. Anyways, I would be pissed off too working if I had to throw away thousands of dollars of merchandise or redo displays because somebody destructive tornado decided Sephora is a place for play and sensory fun. The kids in there were absolutely awful. I don't even think the ladies bought anything. Today, Ezra patiently helped me pick out items. She was gracious and so patient. Please ask for her! 4.5 stars Wonderful experience here today. I came in looking for another Deep Aubergine colored lip liner (I wore my old one down to a nub. Seriously.. the cap is bigger than the actual lip pencil!) One of the brand reps led me to the Sephora Collection, but they didn't have my color, which led me to believe that it was discontinued. I was crushed! They had replaced the pencil liners with a bunch of new twist-up pencils (which I hate... they break way too easily!), but nothing was in the shade I wanted. So... she and I began the painstaking work of trying to find a lip pencil that was similar to my beloved shade. She found me two that were very close, but neither of them quite did it for me. I was ready to give up, but I decided to check the shelves filled with trial and travel sized products, just in case. I'd purchased the pencil months ago from a Sephora in Florida, but I couldn't remember what section of the store I'd found my liner in. Well, my perseverance paid off! In a little cup, hidden behind some other things on the shelf, were several of my Deep Aubergine pencils!! I bought a bunch of them and left that store as happy as if I won the lottery. The sales associate who checked me out was kind enough to see if I had any beauty insider points. I actually had enough to score a sexy berry lipstick that will look absolutely amazing with my Deep Aubergine liner. Some of the employees are very disrespectful. Especially the Hispanic woman cashier that rung me up yesterday!!! (12/2/23 at around 7:20pm). I wish I would've got her name, but she has short dark hair and she has a bit of a Spanish accent. She had an extremely disgusting and condescending attitude and I was completely taken aback by it, her behavior was so uncalled for. That woman should not be working a customer service job because she clearly has no people skills. Why does Sephora hire the most unprofessional people they can find????? I also believe the employees are racist. I noticed they treat their white customers with more respect. Because I'm a black woman, they think they can treat me poorly... which is a shame because I spend a lot of my hard earned money at Sephora. I could tell they didn't want me as a customer here. When i walked in the store, there were all of 2 customers in the store, including myself. I tried to look for what i came in for but i wasn't sure what shade i was. There was no one be found on the floor, once i located someone there was 2 associates on one customer, i asked could someone help me. The associate starred at me and told me someone will help me and continued to engage with the other associate and customer. So i walked away. Someone from the register saw my frustration and she assisted. My boyfriend and i were checking out some fragrances, an associate was standing by but didn't say anything. She walked away and came back coincidently when i picked up a fragrances to smell, as if i was stealing. The customer service was overall terrible besides the associate who did decide to help me. Small Sephora. Parking can be dicey at this location. I went to this location because the website showed me that a few of the items I needed were in stock. Went to the area of the store where they are located. Not ONE PERSON greeted me when I came in (I passed by four on my way to the back of the store). I had a question about an item and I had to go to the counter and ask for assistance. There was even one employee who looked at me and turned her head. Can't say I would support this particular location again. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because they had two of the items I needed in stock at the store. read more

This Sephora is a very convenient location for me and they have pretty much all of the basics that anyone would need. I have shopped here plenty of times and sometimes they do have brands that surprise you. The only issue I have with this location is the staff. It is so hit or miss every time I come into the store! Sometimes the reps are in a good mood, ready to chat with you about any product. Other times I can't find anyone to ask a question. And last night I asked a question about a product I know I've seen at this location before and the rep in the hair area didn't even respond to my question she just shook her head no. And when I checked out I became Rouge and they were out of the welcome present, no big deal but they didn't even seem to have a care in the world. I spend a lot of money at Sephora every year and this location is just not as welcoming as many other locations I have visited. read more

I was greeted by 2 smiling faces! It's always a great experience for me at this location. I've got horrible color matches at Tyson's, and this location was my saving grace. (This is from almost 2 years ago) Went in with the sole purpose of exchanging a couple items I bought from the VIB sale (I went a little too crazy). I wanted the new Chanel perfume Gabrielle - there were none on display. So I figured I'd go ahead and return my items, and ask the cashier about the perfume. She told me they were sold out! Understandable because of the sale and the holiday season.. then she offered to check in the back. No luck. As I was walking out I stopped at the perfume section again, and she came running after me! She said they might have found one stashed in the stockroom! The same cashier that returned my items came back and found me the perfume! I always have such a great experience here - the makeup artists match my foundation PERFECTLY and the items they've recommended are items I still use to this day. I shop at Sephora a LOT but this location is consistently great! As I was walking out (with the biggest smile on my face) the artists towards the front greeted me a happy thanksgiving! This is my favorite Sephora in the area. I love coming to this one because the reps are so knowledgeable, patient and sweet. They always answer all of questions, help me try on make up and even accept my returns when I buy the wrong thing. Michael is amazing and probably trains everyone. Great store. Makeup artist Michael took the time to find exactly what I needed. My skin is difficult, and I appreciate the care. Assistant manager Marcela understood my needs and worked with me also. In contrast to many cosmetic stores , this store doesn't blast you with fragrance. I have allergies, and there are some places where I can't shop. This store keeps the smells under control. Finally, the noise level is low. Music is soft and pleasant. I can actually enjoy a conversation here without straining. read more

The selection is good, the location is good, the willingness to help is good, the actual help is not good. I went last week, looking for a new foundation, after I realized that my foundation is too noticeable in direct sunlight, ie, outside. I went in, got matched, and the woman helping me took me outside so I could make sure it looked good. It did, great! But then upon coming inside, I could see (and she even pointed out) that it looked yellow once inside the store. So I set about looking for another foundation, by myself. I tried on several foundations, but matching foundations is hard and I was struggling. I asked someone to use their color match machine on me, and the woman, a manager, told me she would 'go get one of her color specialists' to do it. She brought back the woman who helped me initially, who was shocked I wasn't going to buy the color that she'd matched for me, but that looked odd inside. She said 'you're not going to find something that looks good inside and outside, because of our track lighting, do you understand?' And I told her "I'm not going to buy something that doesn't look good inside and outside." Then she and the manager exchanged looks, like I must be such a difficult customer, and then the manager set about helping me. She did a good job for the most part, making sure I liked the foundation both inside and outside, and bringing in a skincare specialist to help me with exfoliation, which I needed. But then I asked for concealer, and she put one on, and I didn't like it. "What don't you like about it?" she said. "I don't think it covers," I said. "I don't think it's a good match." "I do. I think it is a good match, and it covers a bit" she said. A bit?! Are you freaking kidding me? I know the whole "the customer is always right" adage is silly, but it's my FACE, and if I don't like how something looks on me, I'm not going to buy it. Why don't you help me find something that I DO like, instead of arguing with me about it? Are you seriously going to tell me that it is impossible to cover really mild acne spots and to find foundation that looks good inside and outside? Those are two of makeup's most common features/functions! And if it doesn't look good IN THE STORE DESIGNED TO MAKE ME LOOK GOOD IN IT, why the heck would I buy it? Like it'll look better in my office's fluorescent lighting?? No. On my own personal soap box: Also, think of the environment. I hate the idea that so much makeup is wasted when someone returns it. Please help the customers make sure they love something and don't end up returning it so it doesn't get wasted later on - which also loses money for the company! read more

This Sephora is tucked away in a little corner of Clarendon, it's a pretty convenient location! The store is a bit smaller than the ones you find at the malls, and accordingly so, I don't think their stock is as large. But here, the samples are always clean, and the employees are friendly and helpful. I haven't gone on a weekend admittedly, but it's also not anywhere near as crowded as the Sephoras at the mall. read more

Parking was expensive, but I found this Sephora had brands in stock that others in the area don't, like Korres and Kosas. Employees were very helpful in finding me a product that was out of stock on shelves, but they had some in the back. I will seek out this Sephora over others, but $6 for parking for a short amount of time was ridiculous. read more

KBeauty is currently trending but it's nice to see that a smaller/new store is keeping stock. I just went there to buy my foundation but I didn't remember which one was it exactly. After looking around for like 10 minutes, being passed by the sales people there I politely asked one of the lady to please help me . She looked at me like I insulated her and rudely respond that she's not on the clock . Yes, I get it that if you are not on the clock you don't have to help me spending money in the store , but why are you walking around with your uniform. Anyways 2 more sales associates saw what happened and nobody even tried to help me. Unfortunately, the unfavorable employees are getting this review. I went in to check out the Boscia line. Was super excited. Walked in, no greeting. Walked around encountering several sales associates. No greeting or offer to help. Hovered over the Boscia products. Got in line and spotted a sales associate that I wanted ask a question. Walked over and asked her for a couple samples of the products that I wanted to try. She looked at he strange. I was like okay, please speak. She actually got on her walky or whatever and asked an employee that was about to go on break to help me. It was strange...very strange. So the employee comes over to me and says "what do you want", I was like, excuse me. First she tried to tell me that there were no more sample containers, barely looked. When she was done getting the samples ready she puts her hand out with out even looking at me and says "here". I asked her if that is how she normally treated customers, and she acted oblivious. Then I explained that she walked up to me and said "what do you want". She really tried to play that one off. Instead of just apologizing she said "I've never been told that before, sorry". Okay, sure. Anywho, don't expect much in terms of customer service when you go in to this Sephora location.. Although the associates seemed to be fairly helpful to middle aged ladies in the store. I browsed around for about 20 minutes just for fun. Then Maggie helped recommend a good face cleanser for me and we chatted about their new hair masks (very eager to try mine)! Recently purchased a liquid foundation and the Sephora brand eyeliner. I really love Sehora. However, I've noticed that their pencil/ charcoal eyeliners are becoming more harder to sharpen. This means when I am able to sharpen it--it wastes a lot of eyeliner. Their Sephora brand twistable eyeliner breaks very easily so I don't even think it's worth buying either. Overall, the particular location itself is awesome. A nice lady named Ashley helped me find my awesome liquid foundation that actually goes with my skin tone. read more

Some of the employees have been rather unpleasant. There is a right way and a wrong way to ask for a customer's personal information. The right way would have been pleasantly explaining why you are requesting this information and not pressing the customer if they're uncomfortable. The wrong way (which I experienced here) was to ask for information without telling the why and rolling your eyes when the customer expresses that they'd rather not. I had to decline multiple times, which made me feel uncomfortable. read more

I visited this location on a Saturday afternoon. I was approached by Noco, who asked me what I was searching for. After discussing my needs, she suggested I talk to someone about exfoliating first then I could circle back to her to talk about new foundations. She took me over to Grace, who was friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions about skincare. I came back over to Noco and we talked about foundation and she matched me with one. Blessedly, this is one of the few Sephoras where, on a weekend afternoon, you can actually browse without being elbow to elbow with a packed store of people. The staff is helpful, but not annoyingly so. The only problem I sometimes run into is that they can be slow to refresh some of their stock items. As with other Sephora stores I've been to, it's a hit or miss. The first time I needed assistance from a rep she was awesome. She gave me really good tips and suggestions for products as well as her opinion on them. Like other reviewers pointed out, the selection is not the best. Some of the products I wanted to try or that the rep suggested were not sold at that specific location. The second time I asked for assistance, while the rep was nice and wanted to help, the rep was lacking in knowledge. I was looking for a toner to replace my Clinique one because it's been harder to find at Sephora (it's not even online anymore). The rep took me to the IQ computer to find similar products. What shocked me was that the rep said "oh wow! I may start using a toner for what I'm reading they have good benefits!"... you mean to tell me you work at Sephora and have never used a toner nor heard of them? Hmmm.... enough said. The third time I needed assistance was last week. I was looking for a powder foundation with matte finish and medium to full coverage. When I was ready to ask for help, I went to the beauty bar where 3 reps were chatting. They didn't seem thrilled to help but at least one responded to my request and started using the color matching tool. Once she had my match number (this is relevant) she went to find the foundation she said matches me and would work for what I wanted. She knew I wanted medium to full coverage but she only applied it lightly with a brush. I kept asking so, is this the coverage? "You can build it up with the sponge"... ok, but I don't see much difference (like, could you apply more to actually see the additional coverage??)... "but you can build it up". Needless to say, she didn't apply more. I still bought it to check out the coverage... Once at home, I used the sponge included with the foundation, look in the mirror and I see an Oompa Lumpa... I'm like "no wonder she didn't want to apply more" LoL She had my color match, the tool should have pulled up the foundations that match me and I still didn't get a good match. This may not be entirely her fault but she just didn't seem to want to help much. Bottomline, if you need very basic items, you may find them at this Sephora but you may want to call ahead. They don't have YSL stuff, for example, because they don't have enough space. It's a hit or miss with the reps but when you find a good one, the service is excellent. If you just want to browse, it's a really good place when it's not too crowded and the location is very convenient. read more

Just got laughed out the store by two of the employees here. The transaction started out by the employee just openly gaping at me and being very snappy. The entire time he was rude, short, ignored and refused to answer my questions. The lady next to him who appeared to be the manager wasn't much help either. She appeared to be friendlier than him but as I was about to walk away she turns to him, look at me and they both laugh and she goes "Omg so last week I had this other customer.." He refused to explain why I couldn't get my return of unused products with a receipt to my original form of payment. Instead he automatically grabbed the other items I had to purchase and starts scanning the items without asking me. I just had to stand there pretty much talking to myself because he continued to ignore me. When he was done scanning my items he just stood there and stared at me until I asked if there was any payment due and he quipped yes. I don't know what kind of training program Sephora has for their associates but they may need to take another look. I get people having a bad day or exhaustion, etc but the way I was treated was inexcusable, completely disrespectful, outright embarrassing and shameful. read more

This Sephora in particular is very well put together and organized and is quite impressive when you walk in. The displays are kept nice and neat and everything is always put in its place. However, the customer service could and should be improved in my opinion. I'm sure others could agree as well but it's just my word. The employees had a tendency to stare at customers in particular I had noticed while I was there and there were rude comments and hand gestures being displayed towards the customers which I did not appreciate and found very disrespectful. Some employees were even very sarcastic when they were confronted about the rude and disrespectful gestures. Overall the experience in this particular Sephora was very disappointing because of the arrogant and disrespectful employees. I am however giving this Sephora two stars because of how well put together the displays were and because of the cleanliness of the cosmetics in the store. I wish the employees would not have been disrespectful towards the customers. I hope to have a better experience in the future but I will be going elsewhere for the time being and hope to see better customer service here soon. read more

I got a custom makeover a week before my wedding. I was honest about my makeup stance: I virtually never wear makeup and just needed a crash course on how to do my makeup for my wedding. Denise was totally understanding and accommodating. She told me and my friend exactly what I needed to do a decent job on my wedding, and what would be maybe a splurge. I bought the necessities and one splurge. Denise let my friend take notes during the entire session, and those were our guide a week later. And I'm pretty sure she went WAY over the time allotment. A week later, we did pretty good! I got compliments on my makeup, I didn't look like a clown, so it was a win. I returned one item, though: A too-dark eye shadow that totally worked when she applied it, but looked waaaay too dark when we tried to apply it. Not bad! read more

I went in looking for new foundation for my temperamental mature skin and while I was at it a few other things... that's when I met Ty, just ask for Ty. He perfectly matched me for new foundation while listening to all my needs LOL; we tried on 3 different brands based on my preferences. He didn't realize it but by watching him carefully apply it I FINALLY learned how to apply a HD Matte Foundation with a sponge. Love my 24hr MUFE; matches my skin tone perfectly. I told him I would come back after my hair appointment to purchase. A few hours later, I did and Ty helped me out. He's a great listener and could "hear" what I needed and worked within my comfort zone; never forcing products or steps I didn't want in my routine. His recommendation for Kat Von D Liner for those us still learning eye liner also spot on :-D An unexpected find myself was the Smashbox Primerizer mini which I paired with the 24hr MUFE, great for later 30's finicky/sensitive skin types :-D Good visit, excellent foundation match and without Ty I would not know how to put this type of modern foundation on right!
