This is the best lip color name ever!!
    Rizma W.

4.5 stars Wonderful experience here today. I came in looking for another Deep Aubergine colored lip liner (I wore my old one down to a nub. Seriously.. the cap is bigger than the actual lip pencil!) One of the brand reps led me to the Sephora Collection, but they didn't have my color, which led me to believe that it was discontinued. I was crushed! They had replaced the pencil liners with a bunch of new twist-up pencils (which I hate... they break way too easily!), but nothing was in the shade I wanted. So... she and I began the painstaking work of trying to find a lip pencil that was similar to my beloved shade. She found me two that were very close, but neither of them quite did it for me. I was ready to give up, but I decided to check the shelves filled with trial and travel sized products, just in case. I'd purchased the pencil months ago from a Sephora in Florida, but I couldn't remember what section of the store I'd found my liner in. Well, my perseverance paid off! In a little cup, hidden behind some other things on the shelf, were several of my Deep Aubergine pencils!! I bought a bunch of them and left that store as happy as if I won the lottery. The sales associate who checked me out was kind enough to see if I had any beauty insider points. I actually had enough to score a sexy berry lipstick that will look absolutely amazing with my Deep Aubergine liner. She also updated my contact info to make sure I stay informed about all of their upcoming sales and promotions. I mean after all... I *am* a "Beauty Insider" :)

    Finally a Sephora in Clarendon!

So happy that this Sephora finally opened. I used to have to go to George Town to get my Sephora products but no more! This one is big enough, employees are nice so far (let's remember it just opened) and things are clean and in place. Let's hope it stays this way.

Poor customer service. Especially the managers. Don't bother shopping at Sephora, just go to ulta or shop at the actual company's website

Then Maggie helped recommend a good face cleanser for me and we chatted about their new hair masks (very eager to try mine)!

We were walk ins and didn't have to wait long for our custom experience. While we waited, we started deciding what fragrances were most appealing. Almost every seat was filled when we arrived, but we only had to wait about 15 min for people to finish and make space for us. It's such a cute little shop! However, if you more than a couple people in your group, try to make a reservation in advance. The previous to make the fragrance was really cool. The associate who helped us listened and made helpful recommendations that resulted in us making the perfect fragrance. Is really cool too that every custom scent is saved in their database, so if you ever want to get more out make the scent into a soap, lotion, spray, etc, they can recreate it for you. 10/10 recommend!

I will say there are a lot of scents and mixes, so it was challenging trying to pick the perfect one for my customized cologne. Overall they had many fragrances, from sweet to spicy and everything in between. The fragrances smell natural and high quality, similar to the big brands out there. The cologne is also priced like a premium; around $130 I believe. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of for the price is that the customized title of the cologne is a basic sticker. I wish the sticker had some kind of logo or design.

One sales associate eventually helped me after finishing with another customer, which I appreciated. However, two other associates behind the counter did not acknowledge me at all. What made the situation particularly concerning was that when white customers entered the store, they were immediately greeted and assisted. As a Black customer, the difference in treatment felt noticeable and uncomfortable. At a brand like Diptyque--where customer experience is part of the product--this kind of disparity is unacceptable. I've visited Diptyque locations in multiple countries and have never experienced this level of disregard. This visit felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and it has significantly changed my perception of this location.

Out of dozens and dozens of scents I maybe found two that I could tolerate?Judging by the price point though, you'd think their candles would smell like heaven but most everything smelled like wet dog or old leaves to me. That said, the customer service was friendly and very attentive. The salesperson was not shy to give us recommendations, tell us about products, or help us out. I also noticed they provide gift wrapping in a variety of beautiful color combinations. Very classy. My boyfriend found what he was looking for and left a satisfied customer, but I left feeling like I had no idea why anyone would pay $70+ for an average sized candle that smelled like the back of a grandma's closet (and wondering if I'm just too primitive to "get" it).
