My sessions with Ashley are so relaxing that I often fall asleep. Before each session, she washes her hands and makes sure that I'm completely comfortable before we begin. She has a very soft touch and works efficiently without compromising the quality of her work. Her manner is calm, confident and peaceful, while remaining consistently professional, kind and thorough. She is an expert in her craft as well as a studio manager and can answer any question you may have about membership and the studio's services. Most importantly, she matches your vibe. If you're feeling like a catnap while she's working, she tunes in and works quietly. Likewise, you can have a nice chat and the hour flies by! This Deka lash charged my credit card $220!! Not only did they book me at the wrong location, the prices for lashes online are $130. So I've been charged for $220 for what reason exactly? I've called, texted, and emailed... no response. Literally insane to charge someone's card that much and not explain or answer. Even if they do the best lashes- they're sketchy as hell. DO NOT GO HERE. Total rip-off and zero customer loyalty. I initially liked Deka Lash. The salon was clean and well set up, the loungers were ergonomic and comfortable, the music was relaxing, and the staff followed good hygiene practices. Despite the high prices, I signed up for a membership that lowered the cost of a classic set from $175 to $145. About five months in, I was informed of "new and improved" pricing -- which turned out to be a massive increase. The member price jumped from $145 to $175, and the non-member price skyrocketed from $175 to $240. I contacted two different managers to ask if the prices I signed up for could be honored, considering I had just signed a service agreement. I wasn't asking for anything outrageous -- just to be treated fairly -- but both told me no exceptions would be made. Frustrated, I canceled my membership. I still had a $90 credit on my account and requested a refund, but was told it wasn't possible -- the credit would remain for future use. I asked if I could still get the member pricing when using that credit, and was told only if I came in within 30 days. I don't live in DC and only get my lashes done for special occasions, so that wasn't realistic. Fast forward to today. I booked a full classic set and planned to use my $90 credit. At checkout, I was told my total was $296 (including a 10% tip of $25 and their overpriced $30 lash cleanser). When I asked to apply my credit, I was told it had expired -- just last month. I was never notified about any expiration. That's $90 of my money that just disappeared. I asked to speak to a supervisor. No one could be reached. Then the lash consultant got defensive and told me I couldn't leave without paying the full balance. I felt completely robbed. Deka Lash has become shamelessly greedy. Nearly $300 for lashes that last two weeks? And losing $90 without notice? It's not the quality of the lashes that's the issue -- it's the way they treat their customers. No transparency, no loyalty, no accountability. I'll never return, and I strongly urge others to spend their money elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend Deka Lash Arlington. I was told over the phone that I would be charged the new customer price, yet after my appointment I was charged $169, which was higher than the advertised pricing. What made this even more frustrating is that both of my sisters had services done and paid less than I did--one received a full set and paid less, and the other received a hybrid set and still paid less than me. This makes the pricing completely inconsistent and misleading. When I contacted the business, they texted an apology and confirmed I was charged an extra $20, but still did not issue a refund or price adjustment. The lash service itself was unacceptable. Ashley was the technician, and the lashes looked nothing like the inspiration photo I showed. When I got to my car, I immediately noticed multiple gaps, uneven placement, and poor overall quality. I took photos within minutes of leaving the appointment and sent them right away. Days later, management responded by blaming sleeping habits or aftercare, which is not possible given the photos were taken immediately after the service. Management was extremely unprofessional throughout this experience. They never answered my calls and only replied days later by text, avoiding responsibility instead of resolving the issue. Between the misleading pricing, poor-quality work, inconsistent charges, and lack of accountability, this location does not meet basic customer service standards. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this location. read more

Lashes looked ok on day one (though not as full as I would have liked). By day three they were sparse and by day six completely gone. These lashes did not last at all, despite following lash care instructions. And when I let them know they offered to redo them...for $87.50! I'm not giving this business any more of my money. Lliterally 2 mins after my service was completed I noticed lashes falling from my right eye. I told the service provider she said she couldn't do anything and to call the main location. They continued to fall out in clumps daily until the right eye was empty (in 5 days), but were supposed to last 2 weeks. I was unable to get any help as I was on a cruise. My photos were crazy looking with only one eye of lashes. Rather than offering a refund I was offered a free set (that expired in 2 weeks), i don't wear lashes, only got them for the engagement photos. Literally one of the most horrendous business I've ever dealt with. Do not come here. They've made multiple errors in scheduling my appointments due to poor communication amongst their staff members. They have zero qualms about allowing you to schedule an appointment and then cancelling your appointment last minute. They claim that I owe them money, but I cancelled my appointment ahead of time, and their incompetent staff members forgot to cancel it within their system. Then, they called me, saying I didn't cancel my appointment. The level of incompetence in the staff and management is wild. There's much better lash places you can find in the area. Also, considering the incompetence they've shown, I find it hard to believe they're allowed to use chemicals near people's eyes. It's actually laughable. This "business" is a joke. read more

I'll start by saying I appreciate the customer service and the quickness to accommodate. The studio is very nice, clean and I love the way the seats contour to your body, creating a comfortable experience. I made my first appt for TrueXpress lash extensions & a Brow Lamination+Tint. The last tech, Nicol, did an amazing job on my lashes. She listened to me when I expressed my preferences and they came out beautifully. Once she was done, I felt the service declined because it felt totally rushed. To start, she didn't know that I was going to get a brow lamination+tint. I told her I had already paid & booked everything together. She quickly ran to get the materials and started the process. When I looked at the final product, I noticed she had only done the lamination, not the tint. I mentioned this and she again, checked the booking and said I was right and ran to get the black tint. She said she was grabbing black to match my hair color but truthfully, when I heard her say black I kind of freaked out a bit because I didn't know what to expect and did not want my brows to be pitch black. I asked her if she could do a light tint so it wouldn't be so harsh/bold and so she did, or at least I thought she did. The tinting service did not go as expected. I actually didn't notice any bit of tinting done. Either way, it got really awkward because at this point I felt she was practically pushing me out of the door, rushing me to purchase a membership and when I said I would think about it, she replied with, "ok, bye" then got up to tend to the 2 people waiting for her - rude. In the end, I've managed to make my brows work for me because I do fill them in myself but I figured if I paid for an expensive tinting service, I expect the tech to know beforehand that they're performing the service and actually fulfilling it. Because of this experience, I would only consider re-booking the brow lamination service or maybe rebooking with another tech if I want to try the tinting again. Not even a full week later, I noticed significant lash loss and let their customer service know. They were quick to fit me into their schedule to get a $75 TruXpress Refill. Truthfully, thought it was a bit overpriced, because the standard wait time for a lash refill is 2 weeks and literally within 5 days I had significant lashes (mainly right eye) loss. Mind you, I waited the 24 hours to wet them, gently cleaned them, I never rub my eyes. I haven't been to the gym/sauna/pool so it got me thinking it was just their application style and/or glue used. Either way, I went in for my refill service. Once she was done, I wouldn't say it met my expectations. 1. I still noticed some gaps 2. The area that had significant loss looked very lightly filled in and didn't match my other eye at all 3. The lashes applied were longer than the ones used at my first appointment. Either way, I didn't have the heart to say anything since it was already 8 PM and I was just exhausted and wanted to go home. Now, 2 DAYS LATER, I wake up, wash my face, brush my lashes and literally all of the lashes that were reapplied fall out completely! In my 5+ years of getting lash extensions, Ive never experienced such extreme lash fall out from simply brushing them!! At this point, I'm beginning to think it's just the products they're using and/or maybe the way the service is timed in 30 mins/1 hr segments that doesn't allow the lash techs enough time to thoroughly apply the glue/bonding for the extensions to completely adhere to the natural lashes. It all just feels very rushed. I wouldn't blame the techs because my lashes absolutely looked beautiful the first time I had them done but it appears the glue/bonding just isn't being applied properly or isn't very effective. read more

I had my lashes done by Siri a couple days ago. I was a bit nervous because I had my lashes done by someone a couple weeks prior at another studio and was dissatisfied with the outcome. I shared this with Siri along with how I wanted my lashes which is a natural look, with a pop. She did the hybrid lashes with the C- curl pattern. It looks gorgeous!!!!!!! It took about 1.5 hours. I've been a customer for 2 years - at first at the mosaic district where I met Ashley, and when they opened the Clarendon location and sent Ashley here I started coming to this location. Deka lash offered me a " complimentary " appointment due to a bad set I got a few days ago ( all of my eyelashes are falling off one eye only has about 2 eyelashes left ) they didn't have any availability at the Merrifield location where I originally got them done. They asked me if I was willing to go to the Clarendon location in Arlington ( took me 30 MINUTES to get here ) I was running late because the light to turn to this location had me waiting 8 minutes. Once I got there , there was no parking anywhere close ( except for the parking garage that charges $8-$10 an hour. ) I called ahead because I knew I was running late and they said Whatever time I had left would get deducted from my service time. At that point I just wanted to get my lashes removed , I wasn't even interested in getting a refill anymore ( they only separated 30 minutes for my appointment ) they called me saying I was too late for my appointment, the receptionist said it would still take 30 minutes to just remove them? She said I could come back at 7 pm as I was almost to the shop, meaning I would have to yet again drive 30-40 minutes back here?? I told her I couldn't make it back at 7 and that I'd make another appointment another day ( I EVEN THANKED HER ) she didn't say anything and rudely hung up the phone. I don't understand why they would only make an appointment for 30 minutes. I have like 2 lashes left on my left eye and the right only has a few. How were they even going to be able to refill almost a whole set in 30 minutes ? You'd think they would try to accommodate their costumers more after messing up the first time. I'm never coming to this location or the Merrifield location again. I don't recommend this place to ANYONE. They could simply refund at least half of the service but instead they try to do a quick fix that wasn't possible in my case ( again I barely have any lashes left and it's only been 4-5 days ) I wish I could give this place negative stars. Lashes were fine. Too much glue. And some lashes took weeks to come out. I made my appointment in person on a week day afternoon. The service lady I had just booked with called me 10 minutes later and moved my appointment. So I went back to work. Then she called again to tell me my appointment time hasn't changed. I told her I couldn't make that time anymore. And she basically told me I had no choice and I had to come in or I would be charged. She wasn't very nice about it. So I rearranged my work schedule at headed in. I didn't say a word. But she was looking for an argument. She didn't say hello. Just immediately told me my appointment had never changed and basically blamed me for the confusion. She really went for it even though I wasn't arguing with her at all. She seemed annoyed I asked her to wear a mask. And im unsure if she cleaned her hands before my service. Meh. I won't be back. read more
