I've gone here a few times and I've finally scheduled an appointment again, though coming from out of state. I didn't know this time around was going to be negative unlike the other service visits. I've had my appointment be rescheduled from 8 Am on a Saturday to 10 to 10:30 Am to then rescheduled for 8 Am the following Sunday, all on the count of Bella apparently having issues with her son's flight. It's 8:42 Am and I'm here still waiting for Bella to arrive, apparently from the airport. I'm trying to be patient and keep an open mind as life can happen but it's not a good look on the business for the owner to ask to reschedule multiple times within 24 hours and still be running late to the appointment. The deposit is non refundable hence why I'm here. I very much doubt I'll be getting any discount or price reduction on today's service but I know I'll never recommend this place anymore for lashes. Monday's Update: I got my lashes done, but I was right as Bella went ahead and charged my card on file anyways for the remainder of the service despite cancelling and rescheduling all on her account. I've filed a dispute with my bank to see about the merchant refunding me the $82.50 as it didn't feel appropriate given this visit's circumstances with her lack of punctuality. I'm also not pleased with how the lashes look since I asked for a more natural, wispy look and she went with a more dramatic look. Regardless if I get my money back or not, and despite the compliments I get on the lashes, I will not be recommending this place moving forward. read more

Amazing service from start to finish by Bella. This lash spa is definitely doing things differently and I am here for it. Rather than the standard, massage table type set up, they have reclining, massaging chairs. They also provide you with a warm blanket and it helps create a relaxing environment. Before starting the service, they have you wash your lashes at their sink station. I can appreciate this because over the years, I've learned over the years, it is super important to have clean, residue free, lashes to ensure you get the most of your lash fill. Depending on your lash tech, depends on if they clean your lashes prior to starting the fill. I do understand it's a rather difficult task to clean someone's eyes will they lay down as there is no real efficient way to clean the lashes without getting water all over the clients face. Nonetheless, I'm sad there isn't a similar lash bar like this one where I live in Austin. I definitely plan to return anytime I am back home visiting. read more

These are the best lashes I have ever gotten! And I have been using eyelash extensions since 2012! I found this place months ago and took the chance to try it out, now it is my favorite place. 1. The material of the extensions is really soft and feels just like hair. I've had other experiences where the material is stiff and plasticky but not here. 2. The service is great, they offer great snacks, fiji water and even have lockers for your stuff. 3. Adriana is truly a great lash tech. She gave me a lash tint and lift. Turns out that my natural lashes are longer than they appear. Apparently, like my hair, they are just really straight. The effect of the lift is great. My husband, who didn't know of my plan, commented afterward that I looked "more awake than usual." Hmmm. Anyway, not an insult at all. If I touch them up with mascara, then I can really get a full, nice, lush look. Adriana is gentle in her techniques, listens to your preferences and is mindful of your comfort during the whole procedure. Your eyes are closed the whole time, and it could be very frightening, but it wasn't. It was actually relaxing. I will be back the next time that my lashes look straight and I look tired. The parking is a bit awkward, and I advise parking in the strip mall opposite the salon location. To get in, you have to go through a hair salon, which can, at first, seem disorienting. There's a new client deal for a full set so definitely check that out when you are scheduling an appointment. I've gone in for a full set and three fills so far and usually get the dramatic lash. The lashes hold very well and I have gone in for a fill every 3-4 weeks. My lashes look full and natural and I have always loved how the finish look is. I have monolid eyes so I was concerned with the length and look of the lashes, the technician always understands what I am looking for and makes sure it looks good in the end. Went yesterday for the first time. First of all it's so nice that you can schedule for same day, next day, etc. Second, she made the little spa soooo cute. She also has little snacks and drinks for you. It's so nice to feel pampered like that! Third, and most importantly, she does a GREAT job. She's so sweet and makes sure you are comfortable before starting in on the 2 hrs for a full set. You can't beat her prices for the quality you are getting. When I first saw my lashes (I have never had them before) I was a little shocked and worried it was too much. She assured me that they looked good and would fix them if I wanted, but that I probably just needed to get used to them. She was right!! They provide the service in a massage chair, along with all the info and details you need and little cute aftercare package! I have gotten multiple lash lifts before and was going to be in the Tysons area so figured I'd try out Viva after seeing some positive yelp reviews and noting that the price was much cheaper than what I'm used to paying. The price really should have been my first indicator to steer clear of this place. Upon arriving it was hard to locate the salon as it is inside the Stratford university building. Even when you take the elevator up to the floor you are met with a bunch or closed doors and no signs. Once you get to Viva Eyelash, it is actually very nicely decorated. I arrived about 10 min before my 10am appointment and NO ONE was there. 10am rolls around and still NO ONE. I had to call and the lady said she was on her way. Finally at about 10:10am she comes rushing in. I tell her I need to be out of there no later than 10:50am (online booking says the appointment will take 40min). She said okay that is fine and that it will only take 30 min. So I say okay and proceed back into the room. I am told to sit in the massage chair which I do and end up sitting in for like 10-15 min while she is rushing around trying to get set up. I remind her I need to leave by 10:50 and she just continues on and starts glueing and perming my lashes. After it feels like an eternity I ask her the time and she tells me it's 10:50 (and I still have the perming solution on my lashes at this point). I remind her that I told her I needed to leave no later than 10:50 and she says okay okay 2 more minutes. 5 minutes later and she's finally taking the perming solution off. I literally had to get up and leave after she got the stuff off my eyes. I didn't get out of there until 11:10. My eyelashes have no curl to them and it was a waste of $70. I was clear upfront about the time I needed to leave after she came in late. She told me she could still get the job done but she failed miserably. When I book an appointment like this, I expect a standard and this did not meet it. If she knew she couldn't complete my service in the timeframe she should have told me at the start. I did get a text message shortly after leaving offering me to come back free of charge but honestly, time is money and I don't plan on spending any more of either at Viva. I will gladly go back to another place and spend $100 to get the job done correctly and efficiently. read more

Will be back again!!! I called on short notice wanting to get a volume set done before going on vacation and they were able to fit me in and even stay past normal hours just to finish! Their lash studio was clean, chic and comfortable enough to hang out in while my friend got hers done. Lash tech was able to answer any questions I had, she was very sweet! I'm still amazed with her work, my lashes lasted so much longer than 3 weeks and I couldn't even feel or see the glue used to apply them. She gave me a little lash care kit to take home which kept them in great condition. My lashes lasted through my vacation cruise (pool, beach, sunscreen, makeup ect) and stayed on for at least two more months. Found my new lash place! I've had eyelash extensions done before but I thought I'd try Viva Eyelash because of the lower price. 3 days before my appointment, she texted me saying there would be an emergency on the day of my appointment so she had to cancel. I was going to cancel instead of reschedule because I could have chosen any other place but she offered 20% off so I figured I might as well try it out. Very nice lady and nice atmosphere but I don't think she is very experienced with eyelash extensions. The tape she used gave me an allergic reaction, making the skin around my eyelids red and she applied it too closely to my right eye, which made my eye red as hell and it hurt. Kept pressing on my eyeballs while applying extensions, and kept gluing one extension to multiple eyelashes so I could feel her ripping my eyelashes apart. Was not relaxing at all, and I usually fall asleep during the procedure which did not happen here. It was also extremely cold in the room so bring a sweater. After it was over I was relieved but found I could not open my eyes. She had glued my top and bottom lashes together. I let her know and she pulled them apart but this was not a good experience. She told me my red eye was due to my eyes being closed. As for the extensions themselves, I specifically asked for individual extensions as I prefer a more natural look. I even showed her photos of previous classic extensions I've had before. However, she glued clusters to each lash so they look way too dramatic and ridiculous on my eye shape. The whole procedure took 1.5 hours but she only gave me about 20 extensions per eye. I have had extensions done before at a different place and it was a relaxing experience. I now understand the lower price for this place and will not be returning. read more

I had an amazing experience! I'd been going religiously to a great place in Denver, CO and was worried about finding a high quality and reasonably priced place in NOVA. THIS IS IT! The office is a bit difficult to find given the building appears to be dedicated to Stratford University. However, once inside, the space is beautifully decorated and very high end feeling for a one woman show. There's Fiji water, coffee, tea, baked chips, chocolate, and mints greeting you when you walk in. Calming music is piped in on a large TV hanging in the waiting area. The actual eyelash appointment was so delicate, I hardly felt her putting on a single lash. This was even better than my usual favorite spot in Denver. I fell asleep at one point and woke up to the next appointment coming in. I highly recommend Viva! I'll be back, despite moving further out into Great Falls next week. read more

This place is great! I love my lashes, and I've been to quite a few different salons over the years. It was a bit harder to find once you're in the building, but the space is super cute and relaxing. The price for the area and quality is great- I literally couldn't find a better value. The hours are flexible too, which a lot of places don't offer. The only issue I had (minor!) was that I ended up waiting almost a half hour for my appointment, but I had requested to move days a few days in advance, so appreciate her getting me in at all!
