The issues I had with my debit card have now been resolved by Sandra. I appreciate her understanding and quick action to fix this issue.* AFTERMATH: Sittin' Up In My Room like the music artist Brandy, I have had some time to contemplate on my past adventure at Him/Her Spa. I saw on my receipt the service I paid for was labeled as Cavitation Machine, not Massage. Although I could have sworn I saw a massage therapist certificate on Sandra's well, but the photos I am now looking at are to blurred to read when blown up on my phone. The $28 surcharge fees is really rubbing me the wrong way. Getting that back is now on my mind. I don't wish to cause a problem Sandra and her business, but this is my first time ever (and I am thinking about how Chris Jericho says Ever) been charged a $14 surcharge on my debit card. Still, aside from this one thing, I am satisfied with the way my 90 minutes went at Him/Her Spa. I give this whole experience four Stars. Update: 3/24/25 I spoke with Sandra De La Vega about the two 7% surcharge added on to my bills and the problem has been resolved. I appreciate how this was handled by her. I will be stopping by to get the problem fixed later on in the week. I now feel better about give this business the 5 stars it deserves. Sandra De La Vega said the best way to avoid any surcharge is to pay in cash. As for tips, they can go into the grey trays on the table in the rooms. I learned after my session with Sandra, she will not be doing another 90 with anyone. Only 1 hour or less. I am not sure if this rule applies to the other therapists, so you will have to find out on your own. Hope this information helps.

I never received a call and when I went in for my appointment the facial person not only didn't have me on the schedule but wasn't anywhere in town. I'm a very understanding person but there was no cares given. Trying to come here as a first time customer, when this was recommended by a friend. I am very disappointed. They did offer to reschedule, but there was no hey let's give you five dollars off to make up for the inconvenience of taking time off work to come in to do this or any thing like that.

As I explained multiple times, I am very aware of the contraindications associated with brow lamination services and did not use any acids, retinoids, or other products that would have compromised my skin before or after my appointment. What I find concerning is that your conclusion appears to be based on speculation rather than any medical evaluation. The fact remains that I developed redness, irritation, and scabbing in the exact areas where the chemical products were applied within 24 hours of the service. Delayed skin reactions following cosmetic chemical treatments are well documented and do not need to be visible immediately after a procedure to be related to it. I also find it disappointing that throughout this process the focus has been on defending the service and assigning fault to the client rather than acknowledging that adverse reactions can occur even when procedures are performed by experienced professionals. At this point, I am not interested in a redo of the service. My concern is not the appearance of my brows, but the reaction that occurred and the lack of accountability shown in response to it. Given my experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to your studio in the future.
