I thought I loved this place until I got a fill somewhere else (Because Anne is ALWAYS booked 3-4 weeks in advance, I had to get a fill somewhere else.). Once I'd experienced a Lash fill in a normal salon, I realized that your eyes are NOT supposed to burn!! The burning that I felt every time I was getting my lashes done with Anne was NOT NORMAL. My eyes literally burn the entire time she's applying my lashes, and my eyes stay red for days afterwards. I had her switch the glue she used to a sensitive skin option but that one also burned. So far, I've had my lashes done at two other salons and I've never experienced burning except for when Anne does them. Also, the results are completely inconsistent. After less than two weeks, one of my eyes still had almost all of the lashes, while the other one had like four lashes left, leaving me looking like I had only done my make up on one eye. The lashes she puts on are also really thick and fake looking. I only went to Anne to begin with because she's the cheapest one I could find (I guess you get what you pay for), but I found a new person with comparable prices at Snatched Beauty (No burning, flexible scheduling, more natural looking lashes). Ann is an absolutely wonderful technician and did a great job with my lashes. The initial appointment took about an hour and a half but that's because I chose the medium thick option. The application process was a little uncomfortable but the bed and the room and atmosphere but it very bearable. Overall, absolutely worth it. We were able to come to a satisfactory resolution, regarding the services provided by Jina. As a result, of the owners actions to follow up, provide a higher level of service and resolve. I've updated my review to 4 Stars. INITIAL REVIEW: 2 STARS 1st time experience. Seen Jina on June 19th, by the next day several of my lashes had prematurely fallen out. I contacted Jina via text on June 20th, I then made a second trip out to Fairfax on June 21st. So, that she could replace several lashes and check the others. Unfortunately, in a weeks time there were less than a half set of lashes left. Overall, I'm disappointed with the quality of work. I've worn lash extension for over a year and I have never experienced this problem. I was in the market for a new aesthetician, as my previous aesthetician moved to Chicago. Made an appointment with Ji, who quickly responded to my request. Her space is a small office area with 2 spa beds but quaint just for this easy procedure. She has excellent beside manners and very soothing, even providing me with 4 choices of degrees in the curl (i.e. 50 degree for me) and the type of look for the lash layout (alluring look with longer lashes at the end). If you pay cash, there's a 10% discount which I appreciate! I'll be back again for those refills, given the good price and about 1 hour 10 min procedure time - so fast! read more

I've gotten my lashes done twice with Ann, and I will continue to go back to her! I found her through a living social deal and had read many positive reviews before seeing her. Before going to Luxe, I had never gotten eyelash extensions before. I really didn't know what to expect. I read that the technician should show you the chart of different lashes and should have a humidifier in the room, to help with the glue adhering better. I noticed Ann did all of that. She is very sweet, and knows what she is doing. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for eyelash extensions. The boutique is small, but very cute and cozy. I went to get a full set before going on vacation. I thought this would be a one time thing, but they looked so great and I got so many compliments. Months later and I can't picture not getting them done! I sent a few friends so see Ann who are used to getting their lashes done, and they also love/ prefer the work she does. She takes the time to help you achieve the look you're going for, and unlike most places you don't have to remind her of that look when you return for another full set, which I think is great since she certainly has a ton of clients. It is true, her schedule is crazy BUT if you schedule each appt on the day of the service you should be fine (and honestly, i think it's a good sign she's always busy!). If you really need a fix, she's very responsive with the cancellation list. Ann is very nice and accommodating. The space is small, but private and comfortable. I usually fall asleep while she does the lashes, but I recommend bringing headphones for the service if you're not like me and can fall asleep anywhere. After all the times I've been to Ann, I had one incident where some of the lashes fell out prematurely. Ann immediately scheduled me to come in and redo the lashes for free, which was great and definitely showed that she cares about her clients and the quality of the work! I bought a Groupon online for a full set of lashes with a two week refill. Anne was booked for a month, but I finally made it to the appointment. Anne was very helpful and accommodating and helped me pick out what kind of extensions I wanted. She took her time and carefully glued each lash on. The end result was fabulous! I lovvvvvvvee them! She gave me care instructions for my lashes after she finished. I scheduled my two week extension right after my appointment. Make sure you call and make an appointment way in advance, otherwise you might have to wait a month like I did! This place is amazing and lives up to the Yelp hype. Ambience is very unimpressive and Luxe is in a kind of run down building. The negatives stop right there though! Prices are phenomenal, employees are friendly and my lashes lasted for a full month. This is the longest I've ever been able to go without a refill. What's better is they have a groupon and you can text to schedule an appointment. With their great success, scheduling had gotten tight but I'm happy they're busy. Amazing service and so affordable. I've visited twice and fell asleep during application both times. So easy of an experience and you get a discount if you pay with cash. As far as the location itself, it's on the second floor of an office building (take the stairs on the weekend because the elevator won't work) and there are two technicians that work in one room at two different stations. They have bed-like platforms to lay on while they do their work. You're provided a blanket, if preferred, and, like I said, it's a super comfy environment once the application starts as evidenced by my ability to fall asleep there! At the time of this review, refills after two weeks ran for $45 and refills after three weeks are $65. If you go beyond that, you pay full price but still it's quite a deal. I was very happy with my lashes both times and got continuous compliments. Unfortunately, I'm not quite high enough maintenance to keep it going every few weeks, but the next time I have a special occasion or want to treat myself, I know where I am going. read more
