They were super thin to begin with, and with age they had started to thin out even more. They were so thin, they disappeared in photos . Anyways, she helped me pick out color that would complement my ever changing hair color. The process it self isn't completely painless. She uses numbing creams on your brows so it is a lot less painful than getting a tattoo, but you do still feel the tools slightly on your skin. (A little) pain is beauty, right? Keep in mind your skin and your skin care routine can really impact how long it will take your brows to fade. You should expect to come in once a year for an annual touch up. Immediately after after a visit you'll need to avoid getting water on your brows for a day, and then avoid being in direct sunlight and sweating (I avoided taking cardio) for about a week for the ink to set. This is the same with tattoos (which I have a few of so I was prepared for this). Your brows will look darker than expected due to scabbing but your real brows will be revealed by the end of the week! One last thing to be prepared for: funny looks from people when your skin starts to heal and peel One patch of skin on my right brow which for no good reason just does not hold ink. It fades super quick compared to the rest which stays and fades consistently over a year, but this one spot just refuses to keep ink! Amy has been super helpful and nice in doing extra sessions to try going over that spot a bit extra. It's definitely easy enough to fill in this one spot with makeup but wanted to mention since Amy has done everything to to try to help it, but it's clearly an issue with that patch of skin. For you people who hate calling to make appointments, you can schedule online and even text her direct (I've sent photos of my brows this way) and she's super quick (within 24 hours) in responding!

Amy knew that I didn't want strong brows, so I chose the shade lighter than black, which was maybe a brownish gray. During the healing process, your brows are pretty dark, and I actually grew to love the 'bolder' brows; so when I go back for my six week refresh, I'm choosing 'to go black.' With extensions and proper care, you aren't damaging your own lashes by putting on falsies and ripping them off, or mascara and using a curl tool. She stays educating herself (a wall of certifications), her team, and their clients on lash care. She won't lash your weak lashes and won't aggressively pile on fans to weaken your natural lash. Studio is super clean and sanitized, they are always masked up since they are super close to your face when lashing. Olga has all the lash friendly makeup product as well as cleanser to take proper care of your lashes when you're between appointments. Only downside is there isn't two of Olga! Karen is my go to lash artist, I am really sensitive to most lash glues which I told Karen at the start and she was able to work with me to find a glue that doesn't irritate my eyes. She works very meticulously and is extremely gentle whenever I get a lash fill. She makes sure I am comfortable and set up so I can take a nice nap while she works her magic! She's always working with me to increase my lash retention as well as giving me recommendations on after care such as lash shampoo brands and how to properly wash my lashes. I got my ombré powder eyebrows done by Linh and I could not be any happier! I never really thought about getting permanent make up done until I saw Linh's work. From the moment I went in to inquire about an appointment, till the end of my aftercare, she was texting me and checking up on me every step of the way. When she was mapping out my eyebrows, she was very patient with me in helping me find my desired shape and look. She helped me find a look that wasn't too dramatic and a color combo that wasn't too dark (the darkness of the brows being something I was extremely nervous about at first). During the process she was very thoughtful in trying to mitigate any discomfort I was feeling as well as informing me what exactly she was doing.
