Amazing service from start to finish by Bella. This lash spa is definitely doing things differently…read moreand I am here for it. Rather than the standard, massage table type set up, they have reclining, massaging chairs. They also provide you with a warm blanket and it helps create a relaxing environment. Before starting the service, they have you wash your lashes at their sink station. I can appreciate this because over the years, I've learned over the years, it is super important to have clean, residue free, lashes to ensure you get the most of your lash fill. Depending on your lash tech, depends on if they clean your lashes prior to starting the fill. I do understand it's a rather difficult task to clean someone's eyes will they lay down as there is no real efficient way to clean the lashes without getting water all over the clients face. Nonetheless, I'm sad there isn't a similar lash bar like this one where I live in Austin. I definitely plan to return anytime I am back home visiting.

I've gone here a few times and I've finally scheduled an appointment again, though coming from out…read moreof state. I didn't know this time around was going to be negative unlike the other service visits. I've had my appointment be rescheduled from 8 Am on a Saturday to 10 to 10:30 Am to then rescheduled for 8 Am the following Sunday, all on the count of Bella apparently having issues with her son's flight. It's 8:42 Am and I'm here still waiting for Bella to arrive, apparently from the airport. I'm trying to be patient and keep an open mind as life can happen but it's not a good look on the business for the owner to ask to reschedule multiple times within 24 hours and still be running late to the appointment. The deposit is non refundable hence why I'm here. I very much doubt I'll be getting any discount or price reduction on today's service but I know I'll never recommend this place anymore for lashes. Monday's Update: I got my lashes done, but I was right as Bella went ahead and charged my card on file anyways for the remainder of the service despite cancelling and rescheduling all on her account. I've filed a dispute with my bank to see about the merchant refunding me the $82.50 as it didn't feel appropriate given this visit's circumstances with her lack of punctuality. I'm also not pleased with how the lashes look since I asked for a more natural, wispy look and she went with a more dramatic look. Regardless if I get my money back or not, and despite the compliments I get on the lashes, I will not be recommending this place moving forward.

Hi Christina, Thank…read moreyou for your response. I respectfully disagree with your conclusion that AHA and BHA products were the likely cause of my reaction. As I explained multiple times, I am very aware of the contraindications associated with brow lamination services and did not use any acids, retinoids, or other products that would have compromised my skin before or after my appointment. What I find concerning is that your conclusion appears to be based on speculation rather than any medical evaluation. The fact remains that I developed redness, irritation, and scabbing in the exact areas where the chemical products were applied within 24 hours of the service. Delayed skin reactions following cosmetic chemical treatments are well documented and do not need to be visible immediately after a procedure to be related to it. I also find it disappointing that throughout this process the focus has been on defending the service and assigning fault to the client rather than acknowledging that adverse reactions can occur even when procedures are performed by experienced professionals. At this point, I am not interested in a redo of the service. My concern is not the appearance of my brows, but the reaction that occurred and the lack of accountability shown in response to it. Given my experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to your studio in the future.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Tysons Corner - Robe waiting on me in the Locker Room

We live close, so we spent the weekend at this Ritz in Tysons for a spa weekend staycation... This…read morereview will be on the spa and facilities only tho... The spa for being at a Ritz and for being in a very hi-end, busy, popular area is way too small! I checked in, which was nice as they offered me a glass of champagne. They told me where to go next, which was to the gentleman's locker room and then go to the quiet room. I quickly found the locker room, but upon entering was taken aback by how small the locker room was. There's a single bench in the middle and all the lockers I saw right there were all there were. So, if more than 2 guys were checking in or using the locker room at once, they would be bumping into each other. I didn't know where the fresh robes and slippers were, since no one previously informed me, but I quickly figured where they both were. But there were also plenty of used slipper, robes, and towels laying around that no one had tended to yet. I disrobed, put on the robe and then sought out the quiet room... I had a hard time finding it because the room that "appeared" to be it was so tiny and had 2 women in it taking up the whole room with their loud conversation, I didn't think that was it, so I walked back out to the receptionist to ask and she told me that room was, in fact the quiet room. I went in and fortunately the "chatty Cathy's" quieted down and moved closer to each other, but when two more ladies came up, there was nowhere for them to sit, so they sat on ottomans. Ridiculous accommodations here!! Fortunately I didn't have to wait long and my therapist came to get me. He was helpful, friendly, and definitely very professionally skilled in massage therapy! I had an 80 minute session, which was painful at times, but I also appreciate a therapeutic massage. After the massage, I went back to the locker room to take a shower and then hit the hot tub and pool. The hot tub and pool area was pretty big, especially compared to the locker room and other areas of the spa. The temperature in the hot tub was spot-on, perfect for relaxing in there. The only issue was the horrible amount of chlorine they used... It literally took an entire day to get that smell out of my nose! The pool was clean and very nice and the temperature was great! Not cold at all! Overall, I enjoyed the massage and the pool area but didn't feel as relaxed as I should have (people need to know to SHUT UP when in a spa) and comfortable as I should have, due to the small spaces. But it was still very nice.

The Spa at the Ritz Carlton is very nice - very Zen and relaxing. They have a large SaltWater pool…read morethat is heated , Amazing large whirlpool next to the pool. Plenty of seating with some double size lounge couches. Typically it is very quiet but they do allow children so if the kids come it can get a little less Zen. The Spa also offers full service massage, pedis , manis and more. The Spa is High end and the service is top notch. Besides the pool and spa services they have separate male/female Locker rooms with Steam Rooms , Sauna and showers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Often they even serve Champagne complimentary. It's very relaxing and we visit several times a year . Great for a quick getaway - Plus it's in the Ritz so you have the 5 Star service , restaurant , bar, lounge and rooms to go along with it. Next time in DC check this place out and be sure to visit the Spa ! The staff at the Spa makes the experience even better ! - so check them out you will be back !!
