My wife and I went recently to Prince Salon for a couples massage. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere felt very relaxing with no harsh lighting. We were immediately greeted and asked whether we wanted separate rooms for massage or to be in the same room. Angela worked on my wife, and Jolin worked on me. Contrary to any critical review, my wife and I felt that the practitioners' hand/muscle strength was more than adequate, and the timing of our one-hour session did not feel rushed. Nothing was pushed on us for add-ons, even when we asked about what else they offered. It's possible everyone's experience can be different depending on other factors, but our experience matched the very positive sentiment seen by many others on Yelp. As the session began, we were asked multiple times if we were comfortable. And as things continued, I realized this is not a typical "hands and elbows only" type of session. In our deep tissue sessions, Angela and Jolin used their knees, feet, hands, elbows, forearms, and full-body weight, all with graceful movements. Whenever they changed to a different body location, they would keep physical contact while moving towards a new part of the body to avoid surprises and maintain relaxation. In addition to massage, they included some light table stretching to help loosen me up more. It all felt quite amazing, and my wife was satisfied and impressed (she is very picky when it comes to this kind of service). Afterwards, they showed us some of their other rooms. They have some really modern tech available for other cosmetic and skin services. This is not a basic business--they have some really nice equipment and associated services in addition to their excellent massage service. 1 star: my appt was on time (called ahead, - I always wait until a few weeks or more after to make a review bc I've had places call and harass me after) 2 star: the place was clean They really *love themselves* here. They want you to get a "spa" experience but it totally depends on who your massage/table scrub-shower masseur is. In my case, the kid (Asian American, very slim, stylish, young, but not friendly, extremely standoffish and unpleasant behaviour) who was my masseur did not make it a good experience for me. I'd heard good thing from others and read from reviews but my experience was unfortunately lacking. The whole time I had the table massage shower thing I was thinking "wow this is bad. I feel like I'm in a car wash that is way over priced" I've had tons of Korean spa scrubs and this wasn't even close. This was barely memorable. The massage afterwards was ok but not the best I've had. I told the masseur I had asked for deep tissue and he said he doesn't do deep tissue and usually isn't at that location. And then asked me to stop talking (but I was asking for the modality I asked for!) - the whole time he was quite rude and clearly distracted. Won't be going back. Note: yes I am aware different therapists can make the experience different but quality control has to come from the top. If you have to bring someone in as I asked for a male therapist, then don't just get someone who is bored / unhappy to be there, and makes it known to the client that he is not into the massage and got called in last minute about 3 hours before. Coincidentally 3 hours before is when *i called Prince salon and spa to confirm my appointment, the timing makes me think they forgot my appt and planned late. Also made my appt well in advance so they could have had someone there who cares about being there. Don't go! Go get a scrub at spa riverside instead! read more

So I am not sure exactly what happened but this was the worst massage I've ever gotten in my life. The therapist was a very small woman and no matter how much I asked her to increase the pressure it just felt like someone rubbing lotion on me vs actually getting a massage. My shoulders actually hurt more than when I started which I did not think was possible. Also I think there was an attempt to get me to pay for a longer session because when I would ask how much time was left she'd say "10 more minutes" or "5 more minutes" and then when I looked at the clock we'd be over time and she'd be asking if I wanted to add time. I finally had to insist she stop so I could leave. Last of all even though it was clear I didn't have a good experience they pressured me to tip and asked me to pay in cash, both of which are sketchy. read more

WOW! What an incredible experience at Prince Salon and Spa! Angela provided me with one of the most relaxing and therapeutic massages I've had in my life! She also provided information on specific stretches and exercises to assist in relieving certain joint pain. Her customer service went far beyond the massage, as she also provided a ride to the hotel where my friend and I were staying! Such incredible kindness! Umm, yes please! Okay, I will be honest and at first, I was thinking like "how does this place have 5 stars?" but trust me, Angela is amazing! She really is lol I made an appointment because I'm always in Tysons and unfortunately MD still had not opened any massage places and I was in dire need. Angela answered the phone and was able to book me for that evening for 90 minutes. I usually do 60 but when I tell you I have been tense, I AM TENSE! Lol It was a little difficult to navigate through to find the exact building as it was dark and my GPS kept telling me I had arrived. Anyways, I get there and I was surprised because it is very beautifully decorated. Angela let me use the restroom and get myself together as I had been in a traffic jam so I was already a little on edge lol Now the only reason I was questioning the 5 stars was because it was very HOT in the room and I felt like she was trying to up-charge me from the beginning when telling me she was using muscle cream (another form of Bengay/Biofreeze) on me and it would be $20 dollars more AFTER she already started applying it lol. Honestly it was worth it though because she wasn't playing! I mean she was really able to pinpoint very specific spots on my body that would be causing this pain or that pain. She EVEN brought out her Theragun to wrap it all up! I can say I have never had a massage therapist not only be thorough but actually go above and beyond to try to make my muscles less tense. I have struggled with lower back pain for several years. I've seen chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists. All of the aforementioned helped, but the relief was always short lived. I started trying different massage therapists around NOVA, until I found Angela. I have been seeing her weekly for about a month and the results have been amazing! She uses a variety of techniques, explaining the differences and advantages of each technique throughout the massage. She is a healer and I'm the proof. Prince Salon and Spa is conveniently located near Tysons Mall, in a professional office court. When you enter the space, you are welcomed by a comfortable seating area and welcoming atmosphere. There are several well appointed, comfortable and private treatment rooms. They even offer robes and slippers. Unfortunately she was with a female client and couldn't talk. The next client was a Male who I saw outside in his car. Looks like I will have to call back around 5:00pm or book an appointment.... I've been getting massages and facials from Angela at Prince Salon & Spa since 2018. She is amazing! It's definitely not the cookie cutter massage you get from a typical spa. 4.5 Stars. Had a 90 min deep tissue massage by Jolene and she was amazing! Really. She adjusts the pressure to your liking and really seemed to have a radar for all my tension and knots. The place is clean, the decor nice, my only small complaint is that on a hot day, it was a touch too warm in the room and I felt that climate control should have been better, but that had nothing to do with her. It was just a bit hard to breathe when you're face down on the table when it's so hot. Had it been cooler in the room, I would have actually preferred to keep my mask on. But great place overall. I'd say this salon is a hybrid between a spa (for relaxation) and therapeutic massage place. There were no fancy lotions or oils used, no aromatherapy or anything of that nature, I think that is something that could be a nice touch to add, just for a more pampered feeling. read more

I came here after reading reviews about this place and it's as amazing as they said. I've been looking for a place to get a massage for over a month now and this spa seriously delivered. Making the appointment was super easy. I booked it through yelp and they were incredibly responsive. There was plenty of parking and the price of the massage was reasonable. The masseuse Angela was so sweet and I could tell she really cared about helping me relax and fixing any pain I have. Shes clearly experienced and knows what she's doing. I felt so relaxed after the massage and she even gave me a little dessert at the end of it. I'm absolutely making this place my monthly treat yourself spot. When I first saw the building we were skeptical about going in. That being said, We're so glad we did. I went for a couples massage yesterday and it was one of the best I received. I have been to this spa three times. Each time seems to get better. I start with a hair shampoo, hair cut, and mustache and beard trim. Then it's on to the table shower, which may be the best in the world. The shower wand above you has multiple shower heads that can be turned on and off individually and the temperature as well. Following the body wash, there is a body scrub. Then - on the an hour massage. The entire session took about 2 1/2 hours. Angela Q. the owner, hair stylist and masseuse is unbelievably talented. She is an artist in every sense of the word. The spa itself is very pleasantly appointed, with strict detail given to every aspect of this spa. It's a beautiful spa. I make this my monthly treat. I've received 3 great massages from this place, as part of a couple's massage. The first was a 1.5 hr appointment, and my male massage therapist used deep pressure to release my tight muscles. I also received a table shower, which was very respectful and relaxing; it feels very sweet and pampering to be washed by Angela! Her touch was no-nonsense and efficient, yet soothing and enjoyable. The second two massages were 2 hr appointments, and those were even BETTER! My massage therapist took his time to get my muscles to release, and the massage was overall very pleasurable! It's like he's a muscle whisperer. The only qualms I have that make this a 4-star rating rather than a 5-star rating are: 1) The massage therapists themselves answer the door and phone, so they have to take a break from the massage to do so (although they do this unobtrusively) ; and 2) [more importantly] I've requested a massage on my stomach twice to Angela, and have not received it. Perhaps there was a miscommunication, or she forgot to relay it to my (male) massage therapist. But my partner with whom I received the couples massage has received a belly massage multiple times, and I have received one (here) zero times! Other than that, my male massage therapist has been very thorough, with sensitive and intelligent hands, and a massage that was healthful and pleasurable. The massage is very thorough and if you talk and ask questions you will get a great lesson on healing and how your body reacts and heals. June has helped people recovering from knee surgeries and explains techniques that help your body recover. June could be a doctor. Spent a few weeks wondering what I should do and where I should take my best friend for her birthday surprise. After looking at Groupon offers and calling different spas I'm glad to say we choose to come here. We were greeted as soon as we came in, the woman addressing me by my name I'd given her on the phone the day before, and recalling it was my friends birthday. We then entered the clean, well decorated area for our massages. The massages were lovely and both my massues and my friends asked what areas we wanted to target as well as what pressure we wanted.
