East Wing Massage has been in Vienna for many years but somehow, this is the first time we have gone.  The massage was thorough and a good pressure and the facilities were clean and quiet.  We appreciated the soft music playing but only wish it could have been commercial free as the ads kind of broke the tranquil mood of the music.  The staff was very pleasant and the charge is very reasonable.  Our only other suggestion might be to have a little more light in the treatment rooms as customers are getting ready for the massage.  It was pretty dark and hard to see where to put things.  These points are minor and we were very happy with the massages we received and would definitely recommend East Wing Massage.  There is also plenty of parking and it is conveniently located. read more

I went to this place many times. It used to be good but yesterday I had a massage with the new therapist and it was bad. 20 minutes of my 1 hour massage, she just used her elbow over the blanket sheet and it hit my bones.... 20 minutes was a waste of the time. How could you see the bones when sheet covered? she didn't even have time to massage my full body, didn't even ask my what area I wanted to focus on. It was just wrong. I'm leaving my feedback mostly due to the disappointment I experienced despite the rave reviews. BLUF is- the most notable thing about this place is the competitive price point and overall massage feels cheap. You get what you pay for, but I'd rather pay a bit more to get the service I need. I had a 60-minute deep tissue massage scheduled last minute due to the neck, shoulder and back pain I occasionally get from having an office job, but it felt more accute today. When I went in, I noted that I had recently injured my left ankle and asked if they can just avoid that area and be careful. During the massage session, the strokes were quick, sharp, and hard (not deep), and I felt like they were missing the pressure points by an inch every time she tried to go "hard" and had to flinch. They also didn't focus on the areas I noted on the paper (upper back) and got uncomfortably close to areas that other massage places try not to avoid and keep covered, or ask before they approach to see if the customer feels comfortable. Towards the latter part they had to lay two hot stones and a towel, separately, and each time I had to flinch and for the towel I had to lift because they were too hot! I usually leave 15-20% tip in massage places but because my experience was less than satisfied (and I still felt the pain, not the good kind, was there), I try to leave 10% and they pointed at the sign that suggested 15-20%. I then upped it to 15% and the masseuse said, "maybe you should leave 20%"... hmm I insisted that I keep my 15% (and the owner who was behind the desk with the masseuse just nodded her head to signal to the masseuse to just accept). I wish I had a better experience but overall the massage session just simply did not seem professional and I won't be coming back. read more

Whoever I spoke on the phone with at 12:35 noon today 1/25/2019 was the definition of rude. When a customer calls your business who they speak to is their first impression of your business. This is my first ever 1 star review but I was flat out denied service and an appointment at this establishment for me and my mom. I had purchased a Groupon after reading good reviews for this spot. I really wanted the 60 minute deep tissue massage and my mom is visiting from out of town this weekend so I called to set my appointment and one for her. They told me they could not get me an appointment without providing my groupon voucher number which you only give at time of purchase for a service because it is a full payment. That would be like giving a random person the code on my amazon gift card. I told her that it made me uncomfortable to give her this information and I asked if I could just give it to them at time of service. She refused to set an appointment for me and my mom. I even offered to return my groupon and to just do all business through the spa so they could make more money. She also denied this request. We went back and forth for 15 minutes as she proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and how no other customers have a problem with providing their groupon code. I told her if she won't work with and will not give appointments to me and my mom that I would take my business elsewhere which I will be doing. What a disappointment. This really needs to be looked into and I look forward to a response and reason why this happened from management. read more

I came here for the first time after calling to schedule a massage very last minute (3 min before I got arrived). They picked up the phone and told me to come they had an opening. The ladies were very friendly and asked about how satisfied I was with the service I received. This was hands down the best deep tissue I have received to date ( from Ava) and the service was great. I walked out and all the pain I was experiencing has all but disappeared after 60 minutes. read more

Visited for the first time today for a 90 minute deep tissue with Amma - will be back! it was intense (only my 2nd massage since 2020), but some of the knots that I was resigned to carry forever actually started to loosen up! My boyfriend got us massages for Valentine's Day and it was amazing! They put us in a room together and both our women were amazing. They asked us if there were any spots we wanted to target and what kind of pressure we wanted. Let me tell you, I didn't realize how many knots I had and I left feeling lifted. Rebecca is beyond amazing, let me just start there. My husband surprised me with a couples massage for a Sunday morning. I came in knowing I needed a lot of work on my shoulders and back, Rebecca obviously being a master of her craft took notice also and really got out some knots. My husband said he enjoyed his massage. As we walked out we noticed there were specials including a very intriguing offer 10, 1hr massages for $550 which can be shared, so a very nice gift for partners! I've had some massages from chain businesses around the way but I think I have found my go-to masseuse here in Virginia. Fei was amazing! She got me in last minute for a 60 min deep tissue full body massage. She focused on my back after I told her "I'm stressed -- everything hurts." After 30 min in prone, I already final an immense amount of decompression. The final 30 min sent me into ultimate bliss. I purchased a groupon for a 45 minute reflexology session from here. I called to make an appointment and the person I spoke to was on the road driving to work and told me she would text me back to confirm. I told her I was calling from my work phone, which didn't have texting capabilities and then when she didn't have any other solutions, I told her I would call her back when she was at work. I did end up calling back and confirmed an appointment for the following week. I actually ended up having to reschedule, and the process was simple enough, though the language barrier presented some mild difficulties to make sure we were both on the same page. I arrived approximately 15 minutes prior to my appointment and was taken to the room right away. Due to the language barrier, I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do (should I change out of my clothes, keep certain clothes on, put on a robe, etc.). After asking the individual the same question multiple times, I learned that I should just lie down and that the reflexology would only focus on my feet. I know that some reflexology also focuses on your hands, so I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't part of the process. The session itself felt like a glorified foot massage. The individual left the room 2-3 times to get towels and other materials in the middle of the treatment, without even explaining what she was doing. At the end, she asked me if I wanted extra time, and I simply said no, as I figured extra time would mean I would be charged some random amount of money. Personally, I wouldn't visit East Wing Spa for a reflexology treatment ever again, or any other treatment for that matter. Between the treatment rooms being lackluster and the language barriers, I feel like there are plenty of other options in the area. read more

I did a couples massage on 03/05/2023. The actual massage was good for the price. However, once my boyfriend and I went to leave, the front desk lady (an older woman) pretty much pressed us into leaving tips. She motioned to the sign displaying different tip estimations and, being pressured to tip, I handed her cash 'cover' our tips.... She then pointed to the sign and said that the estimate was per person and that we needed to leave another tip because we had 2 masseuses. While the massage experience was a good deal for a decent massage, the front desk associate needs to learn how to interact with customers. It's difficult to find a spa that gives a good Thai massage. The massage at East Wing Spa gives you a great combination of deep tissue and Thai massage which helps you to do gentle yoga stretches during the massage. It allows for greater participation in your wellness and teaches you how to stretch to further relieve any pain or tension in your body. This was the best massage I've had in many years. This place is a hidden gem in Vienna. The service is always exceptional, Fei really knows the how to gauge what massage is the best based on your needs that day. She has excellent know how of massage techniques including ashiatsu (walking on the back while supported by ceiling bars) She has also trained the other therapist very well. The massage center is based in a cozy suite with no frills but is always extremely clean and well sanitized. I am a returning customer and always feel relaxed and de-strssed leaving here. Chinese ladies run this business. They know how to "fix" me with the pressure points. All the knots and tension get loosened every time I go. I couldn't even lift my arms as my shoulders were so tight. If you're looking for a relaxing smooth massage, there maybe other places for that. These ladies know what they are doing to cure your pain by using pressure points w shiatsu massage. It's more painful first but then you understand why it was. Highly recommend them. read more

I pay for 60 minutes and sometime I think they even go over a bit. Many places include your changing time, etc. in the slotted hour and really only massage for 45-50 minutes. read more
