***LOCATION*** Maps was a little deceitful. It's inside "The Shops at Century Building " entrance. Small only 2 pedi & 2 mani spots. Great service! AWESOME pricing. My new place when I visit DC! read more

This is not it. All the workers are old and do not know how to do nails. Then look at these ugly pictures and these women lying saying they love this place, they love their nails. TH!! This is too old fashion and then to charge $40 and up for full set is an epic fail, by the looks of it the price should be $1.00 for full set and .50 for fill in!! Everybody that loves thiss place n work here, please exit stage left and have several seats!! Yall play too much. read more

I get pedis on a regular but never had a dedicated place until now. This family owned salon is located inside the "Shops At Century Building" a few doors down from Bowlero in Arlington, VA. It was hard to find at first but luckily I called and lady instructed me perfectly on how to find them. For this reason, I had to take a photo to make it easier for future customers that never been here. SN: it's literally next to an apartment building called Quimby. It's not super fancy nor big, it's in a small suite that's semi outdated but to be honest the workers are amazing and worth a try. The customer service and prices are unbelievable!!! I got a Gel pedicure and the guy did an outstanding job. They didn't use the metal scraper (which is so bad for you) and my feet came out just as soft. I wasn't rush and they accommodated to my needs. I paid $43 which is a steal, these days for What I normally get would've been almost doubled the amount. I'm so happy I found this place, it's def worth the drive. Oh yeah, there's street parking but it depends on the day because it's a hit or miss and you definitely need to pay to park (Park Mobile App comes in handy). I wish I took pics of the inside but I was pressing for time since they were closing the next hour. Definitely check this spot out with an open heart. read more

Went to this location & was told to wait about 30 minutes due to the 2 seats being full. I was told by the lady that I would be right after her current client. After 30 minutes, she was done but she said she will be taking the person that came in after me. So I went to the male there. I asked simply for the removal of my acrylics, same service as the girl she took instead of me. The man took my acrylics off with soaking my nails in acetone and using the electric file. It was back and forth with those 2 methods until it got to my real nail. My nails were red in the end and not all of the acrylic was off. I noticed the girl that went in front of me they soaked her nails using a cotton ball and foil. They just gave me a bowl of cold acetone. I told the man multiple times of certain things that hurt, and anytime it was time to soak my nails, he would turn his chair around lol no conversation was had for me. The service was overall not good. It actually hurts to wash my hands 3 days later and my nails are still red. Not sure why I got treated this way, I'm pretty quiet but I knew for sure I would be writing a review. Honorable Mention: * I didn't want my real nail cut & that was seeming very annoying to the man who did my nails. * He was filing my nails down to the bone (I expressed pain multiple times and he even cut his glove, but continued working. * seemed like he was in a rush to get me out of there. 0 on service. * I'll type it again. He turned his body opposite from me every time he wasn't working ... read more

Crystal Beauty - I asked for an acrylic off. He electric filed them down until it hurt. Not all of it is off. It's been 3 days... - Nail Salons Near Me - Arlington, Virginia

Well, this wasn't the best salon I've been to, but it got the job done. I had a wedding coming up (of course during the holiday season) so it was kinda hard coordinating my busy work schedule and getting a basic pedicure appointment. This place was pretty hard to find with Google Maps as it's inside a building and no outdoor signs. The pros are that they were able to *squeeze* me in and by that I felt like my session was a bit rushed. They also are very affordable for a pedicure in the area, and like most other nail salons, they had massage chairs which I really really needed at the time. I questioned the cleanliness since all the guy did to *clean up* after my appointment for the next client was sponge down the pedicure basin. I don't recall if he wiped down the chair. Maybe it's just the germaphobe in my but if I were the following client, I'd expect cleanliness at a higher standard given we're still in a pandemic. Thought I'm grateful that I got my pedicure in, I'm not sure if I will return here. This is the first nail salon I've been to in the area, and this salon unfortunately did not meet my standards. read more

First of all, the guy wanted me to visit the establishment right away (w/i 20 mins) and I'm thinking that they were very busy. NOPE. I was the only customer. I asked for a pedicure and he refused to buff my feet after I had asked him to do so 4 times and he said that he would. There was no cuticle maintenance, he was not neat with the polish and he left polish residue on my toes. Be careful on the reviews bc this is not it. read more

This place is quaint and low frills, but they did a good job and got the job done. And, the price is right! I called last minute on a Friday for a very impromptu pedicure and gel manicure. They accommodated me with a smile. They tended to my needs, and made sure that my nails looked good. I would've liked a little more buffing on my feet, but overall it was a great experience. Definitely worth the price point. I was hesitant about even putting this out there because I didn't want other people to try to come and take my place over, but it's worth it! read more

First time here and fell in love with this place. Jenny, who's sophisticated and a very seasoned nail tech. She did the dip powder so fast and nicely done. Not to mention, it is the cheapest dip powder service in town! Worth every penny of it. read more

I went on a Saturday and the doors were locked so you have to call the number on the sign in front of the building to have someone let you in. An elderly couple tagged teamed my mani/pedi request. They had owned the business for 30 years in the same area. I was the only person in the salon and it was quiet, but I found the couple to be nice and efficient. It really is a no frills place, but for a very reasonable price with the same quality you'd get from a higher end salon, I'd rather my money go to support a mom and pop business than the outrageous fees higher end places charge. Public parking is free on the weekend and Saturday pricing is a little cheaper, so it was worth the trip here. read more

This is one of the best little Mom and Pop nail salons I've ever been to. They are friendly, fast and efficient. Did I mention the prices are awesome? I'm sad that I won't have the pleasure of getting my mani/pedis here anymore since I'm moving to Florida but whenever I'm in town I will definitely pay them a visit. Thank you both for the wonderful experiences. read more

Went on a Thursday around 11pm it was a 10min walk from my hotel...it was hidden away in what looked like an abandoned shopping center. Very small shop I was the only customer...went to get a pedicure for my trip tom Cancun and the truth is I needed foot surgery. They did not disappoint... they did everything I asked and more and now I can go to the beach unashamed of my feet I recommend this nail shop read more

I have tried a lot of nail salons in the area and this is by far the best for the price!! It is a very small establishment (just 3 nail technicians- Janey, Dan and one other) and no frills, but they do a good job and they are the best price I have experienced. Only $35 for a dip manicure- can't imagine going anywhere after discovering this place!!! Including a picture of the building where they are located. Janey is great - definitely ask for her!! read more

Very professional and good at nails!!! I've been to boujee and overpriced places but this place is the goat. 10/10

A hidden gem! My manicure looks amazing and Jenny was very gentle and clearly a pro who's been doing this awhile. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful Gel pedicure for $35. The store closes at 6:00pm on Friday, so please be respectful and don't show up at 5:30pm for a pedicure that may take 45-60 minutes. The employees are super accommodating and allowed someone to do this, but have common courtesy... these employees have families and friends to get home to! read more

I loved this place! It's walking distance from my office so I stepped in because it had been ages since I had gotten a mani/pedi. Wish I could find a way to play the howl from the beginning of the "Wolfman Jack" radio show to start this review. Maybe Yelp will incorporate that technology with the next update. Maybe not. Anyway, it was Wolfgirl Kell who walked into Crystal Beauty. For eventhough she earned the Glamorama badge already, her spring cleaning was incomplete without the helpful hands of...(phooey, didn't get her name)... She slathered the limbs with hot wax then (miraculously) painlessly ripped the winter coat from its roots. Aaaaah...the softness...the smoothnes...aaaaah. Now, springtime skirts I'll show off... ...By the way, the $25 mani/pedi deal is no more. But I'm still a fan. read more

I've been coming to this cute mom and pop shop for 3 years now. My only regret is that I haven't posted sooner and more frequently regarding my spectacular experience here EACH and EVERY time. My usual is gel manicure and regular pedicure. Janey and her sister are great at both, and are extremely professional. It is the MOST affordable you'll find in this area for the impeccable work done. They are definitely a hidden gem, located in the Crystal City Shops between Buffalo Wild Wings and the Buchanan Apartments. Parking in the area is street parking or free 1 hour garage parking in the surrounding areas, so never a problem to find a good spot. I would highly recommend making an appointment. Go support your local small businesses and stop by for your nail services, waxes and etc. :) read more

I've been coming to Crystal Beauty for 20+ years for manicures, pedicures and waxing. This is a simple, no-frills shop with just two nail technicians- Janey, the owner and Dan, her assistant. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. If you want a spa style experience, this probably isn't for you but if you want a good manicure or pedicure (or waxing), I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I got my nails done for the first time ever (a simple manicure with polish) here today as a birthday week present. It's a tiny unit that anyone who works in 2450 Crystal Dr should know and it's reall a no-frills place. I booked an appointment 2 days prior to ensure I'd be able to get a spot since they have a small number of nail techs (when I went, they had 3 at 4:30). During the middle of the day when I booked, they only had 1. The price is soooo reasonable and makes it worth it coming here. One of the other clients was requesting a pretty intricate Christmas set (Rudolphs and polka dots) and one nail tech was delivering just fine. I do wish mine had paid a bit more attention to my cuticles - he didn't do them as cleanly as I would have liked, but the polish is done better than I ever could. I'd definitely come again if I want them done. read more

I've been going to this salon for the past two years (mani's, pedi's and more!). You really can't beat the quality, the efficiency and the price. I usually just get gel on natural nails, but today I had a full set of acrylics with gel, and they are fabulous! I was so tempted to just leave them plain acrylic, as they were so beautifully done, they looked natural!! They also do dip powder. I have also had eyelash extensions done back in May 2019, and loved them as well. It was my first experience with eyelash extensions and it was very positive! I highly recommend Crystal Beauty for a wonderful manicure, pedicure or any other nail treatment!! read more

This is the cheapest mani/pedi I've found in DC, and you get what you pay for. It's $30 for a mani/pedi on Saturdays and $32 Mon-Fri (most nail salons offer specials during the weeks to get people in, but I imagine they have trouble getting people in on Saturdays because of its semi-hidden location.) There are two pedicure chairs, and three manicure desks. It's very very much no frills, which is absolutely how they keep their costs down. The guy who did my nails was very fast and efficient. I think I was in and out in a little over an hour (it was kind of awkward because I wasn't sure how long I was supposed to sit under the nail dryer because it was a box he put on my lap without a timer). We'll see how long the polish lasts without chipping. I'll probably try another place in the future. I only went here because I had a wedding the same day and really needed to get in somewhere. read more

When I first walked in I was very skeptical but due to snow decided to pick a spot based on convenience. A gel mani and pedi was $45 which is a lot cheaper then other places I've been to nearby. As another Yelper mentioned the place is zero frills but the final product is great quality. They have a lot of gel nail colors to choose from and they message your hands and feet. The two people that were there when I arrived were very kind and accommodating. At first the lady that did my manicure wasn't focusing much on cuticles but after I asked her to clip them more I was very happy with how my nails turned out. Due to proximity and price I will most likely return. But do not go here expecting anything special or posh. read more

pros: $12 manicure Attention to detail Friendly but didn't talk too much (I like that so I can relax) Payment before painting so your hands don't get messed up Walked in on a Saturday morning and was seen right away I only got a manicure, but on Saturdays the have a discount mani/pedi (28 instead of 30 I think) cons: the building is easy to find but the doors are locked. The is a little bell on the far right door that says (in small letters) "customers of crystal beauty only". You have to ring it and wait for someone to come let you in. When my nails were drying in the heater, the heater wasn't timed and no one told me when I was done. Better too long than too short though. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure a day ago. It was my first time at this place. Very small place, 2 pedicure seats and 3 nail tables. 2 technicians were working and trying to juggle 3 customers at once. The mani and pedi were below average and the manicure and pedicure don't look neat and is already beginning to chip after just one day. I asked the technician to fix some things I didn't like but didn't want to keep correcting them. I came in for the prices but now realize that you get what you pay for. Rather pay more but love the results. read more
