Nail dip from the new color book!
    Courtney Y.

Love this place!! Danny is always so welcoming and kind as soon as you enter the salon. Pia did my nails recently & I'm very happy with the service I got here. They recently moved locations & updated the salon. The new interior is so elegant/relaxing, & they offer a new selection of dip colors that I'm obsessed with!!! I'm new to the area & this is the best nail prices/service I've found in Arlington so far.

I arrived at the cozy salon after a short walk through the lobby of the Crystal Towers apartment building and an elevator ride to the ground floor. I was paired with a nail technician who appeared to be learning the ropes. Not an ideal situation and one I would have thought twice about had I realized beforehand! I encountered a series of mishaps during my appointment. The nail technician nicked my right pinky finger. Also, the color that I selected was so diluted that it required four coats and resulted a lumpy mess. The technician took the initiative to redo the manicure even though it delayed her schedule. I appreciated her commitment to providing a quality manicure instead of a subpar one resembling a toddler's work. The owner kindly offered an alternative nail polish color from a different nail polish brand. Throughout my visit, I noticed a few customers (presumably regulars) getting haircuts. While the styles weren't anything special, the clients seemed happy with the results. With two pedicure stations, two manicure stations, and some hair stations as well, this salon is clearly a hodgepodge of different services. My visit served its purpose; however, I would not go out of my way to get my nails done here again.

I always had my hair cut by Kay and consider her to be a personal friend. She is always friendly and her attention to detail is amazing. My favorite part of the haircut experience here is the shampoo before and after. You really feel pampered here and the quality of the haircut is the best I have experienced while living in the D.C. area. Their prices are very reasonable for the amount of care and time that they spend on you. Helen is also very friendly and my friends who used her loved her results as well. Please give this salon a try!

It was hard to find at first but luckily I called and lady instructed me perfectly on how to find them. For this reason, I had to take a photo to make it easier for future customers that never been here. SN: it's literally next to an apartment building called Quimby. It's not super fancy nor big, it's in a small suite that's semi outdated but to be honest the workers are amazing and worth a try. The customer service and prices are unbelievable!!! I got a Gel pedicure and the guy did an outstanding job. They didn't use the metal scraper (which is so bad for you) and my feet came out just as soft. I wasn't rush and they accommodated to my needs. I paid $43 which is a steal, these days for What I normally get would've been almost doubled the amount. I'm so happy I found this place, it's def worth the drive. Oh yeah, there's street parking but it depends on the day because it's a hit or miss and you definitely need to pay to park (Park Mobile App comes in handy). I wish I took pics of the inside but I was pressing for time since they were closing the next hour. Definitely check this spot out with an open heart.

My appointment was canceled the week of the holidays and birthday celebration. I received a call that the technician would be on travel and no date for return. Called back to schedule another appointment for a different day due to the urgency to be informed she was in town however, I had to call the new tech. I texted the new tech to be informed she didn't feel comfortable doing my nails bc I switched to her from the previous tech. I'm the customer and can go to whomever I choose. The dishonesty of the receptionist, unprofessionalism, and lack of empathy were mind-boggling. I will never patronize this business again.

I do NOT like gel nails for health purposes and don't want UV light on my skin every month. The pedicures also were never relaxing despite upgrading to one of the fancier pedis. The service was performed very quickly without taking the time to let me relax. The polish is supposed to last at less two weeks but barely lasts a week. After giving them multiple chances, I'm tired of dealing with these antics and will splurge elsewhere

I went to Metropolitan Nail Bar for a dip polish removal and a new dip manicure. During the removal process, the technician left acetone on my nails for over an hour without checking on them, while working on other clients. My nails began to burn and became very painful. When she returned to remove the remaining polish, I told her it was hurting, but she didn't acknowledge or respond. She then aggressively filed the tops of my nails, to the point where they felt extremely thin, sensitive, and were burning. When applying the new color, there was a noticeable line between where the polish was and wasn't applied. I pointed this out, and she seemed visibly frustrated. Although she added more color, her tone and demeanor came across as annoyed and dismissive. For the next two days, my nails continued to burn, but I was too worried to use more acetone to fix anything, so I left them alone. Once my nails started to grow out, I went to my usual salon to have the dip removed. As I suspected, my nail beds had been filed down excessively. There is now a clear difference between the new growth and the previously filed areas, and my nails are now weak and breaking. Overall, this was a painful experience with lasting damage to my nails. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.
