Horrible horrible! The most unprofessional place I have ever visited. The staff pulled one hair at a time without any previous experience and the pain was unbearable. Why this crazy B cut my eyebrows off on the side? I had one that was perfect and the other one was shorter. She shortened up the perfect one. Without me asking! Then she used some kind of long lasting eyebrow pencil to cover it up. STAY AWAY! I am normally pleased with my service here but today I am outraged. I stopped by about ten minutes ago to have my eyebrows threaded. There was a girl I have never used before working. Not only was this the most painful threading experience but she removed the middle of my eyebrow. When I asked what happened she denied that it was her. She actually laughed and said me remove from the middle? No! As if this was a joke. She offered no sympathy and still charged me full price. I did not tip but I honestly don't think I should have paid. I am disgusted by her service and her ability. She has no business doing eyebrows. I think it's one of the area's best kept secrets. See, there's a little kiosk in the middle of Pentagon Centre (across the street from the huge Pentagon City Mall) that offers eyebrow threading. Yes, my fellow sisters of the anti-bush-and-unibrow society, I said -- eyebrow threading! I'm so, so, so glad I found this place. The location is convenient (right behind the parking validation desk). The price is right (from $10 for eyebrows to $40 for entire face). The service is thorough and efficient (I've never had someone tweeze a few remaining hairs after threading but I appreciated the attention to detail). The pain is minimal (and infinitely more bearable than tweezing or waxing). And there was no wait time (because, well, time is money). Now, lest you be deceived -- this is not some fancy salon. There's no appointment book. There's no privacy wall. There's no credit card machine. And there's definitely no becoming BFF with your technician. I only go here for Gita who works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She is PHENOMENAL and is the only person I trust with my eyebrows. I once went to he location inside the Pentagon City Mall and they butchered my eyebrows but she was able to salvage them. I can't speak for the other technicians but if pure looking for quality work for $10 I highly recommend her read more

Note to staff there: Please use mouthwash after you eat lunch. Really hated smelling the tunafish on your breath while you arched my eyebrows. The eyebrows were OK. I've definitely seen better. I passed by the kiosk for months until my roommate raved about her positive threading experiences here. I'm usually that skeptical person who wonders- why in the world would you get a beauty treatment done at a kiosk!? However, I have come to really like the service and have use them often. Like what one of the other yelpers said, there are 2 girls that work the kiosk. I prefer going to the younger girl since she pays attention to detail and does a fantastic job. The older woman I had gotten threading done once, and it was just so-so. It's $10+tip, so its pretty affordable and less painful than waxing. DO NOT GO TO THIS KIOSK! Yesterday, I went to Eyebrow Designs to get my brows threaded. I usually go to the threading kiosk on the 3rd floor of Pentagon City. I decided to save a few steps and go here instead. Big mistake! The result was mismatched eyebrows that the technician (I use the term loosely) could not fix. I even had to ask her to remove the baby powder she used to highlight my eyebrows she said so she could thread them properly. When I asked her to wipe off the powder she countered that some people liked to keep it on!!! Oh really? My stupdity, I will go across the street to Pentagon City next time. read more

I knew this day would come. I've been here many times over the years and have had okay experiences. I have great eyebrows already, but they grow kind of long and have a tendency to lightly unibrow themselves if I don't deal with them. So I would go to this kiosk when I the situation just couldn't be fixed at home. I have been able to go here and give direction and come away satisfied enough that my unibrow is gone (for the time being) and my eyebrows still look full and happy and healthy. Yesterday. I go in and I say to the threader that I want my eyebrows cleaned in the middle and just slightly under the arch. (ETA: I should say I do not know the woman's name, but she is an older woman with a round face, and not one of the younger women who work here regularly.) I also ask her to trim them at the inside end. I get that this sounds vague and could be interpreted many ways, but I don't even know how we get to the result that I received. The lady doing my brows snapped several threads, almost took out my eyelashes...and you know how they say eyebrows are not twins, but sisters? Not only do my eyebrows NOT even look like sisters, they don't even look like they've ever met at all. She cut too deep above the brow into my right eyebrow, so now I've got a Raven-Symone type situation that will take months to grow out. I asked her to trim them at the ends...she trimmed one, sort of. And she took at least half of my eyebrows off. Do you know how people use concealer to outline their brows? Well, I don't need to do that because the lady who did my brows yesterday took so much of my eyebrows off that the untanned skin underneath peeks out - so they are actually highlighting themselves. I should have known it was not going well when I realized the other lady threading brows had finished with one customer and was waiting for another to come while the lady doing my brows was still working. The best part is that when I looked at my eyebrows in the mirror and expressed my displeasure, she shrugged and said, "well, you wanted them cleaned?" She then offered to keep going????? I paid her and left. I even tipped her because I need the good karma. Well, when I got to my car and looked at my eyebrows, I saw that my skin had been torn by her piss-poor threading and was welting. I promptly parked my car, returned to the booth and showed her the cuts. She made some sympathetic noises and then asked, "Well, do you want something?" and gestured to her threading supplies as if...I don't know, more threading would make it better??? I asked for my money back. I got my money back. I will be doing my eyebrows myself for at least the next three months while they grow out, but once they do, I will certainly not go here again. read more

I've been here twice and the only reason I've come here to do my eyebrows is because of the convenience of this location. The first time a young woman left my brows uneven and the second time, same story. I was not very pleased with the results in the end. I recommend you go to the eyebrow threading in Pentagon Mall across the street. It's a tad bit pricier but they leave you with MUCH better results. read more

I think it would deserve 5 stars if the Service was constantly great. The fact that the same ladies are not there all the time really makes a difference. I'm glad I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. I wasn't sure if the shop was open on Mondays, and calling just led to continuous ringing, but I decided to try my luck. Sure enough, it was open. This place does do cash only. I got a middle-aged woman who was very kind and she did my eyebrows perfectly. I think someone said she doesn't do arches well but I have an arch just fine. It was quick and while there was SOME pain, there wasn't as much as many other places I've been to. Dupont threading is the place to go if you want zero pain, but it was pretty bearable here. The cost was $10. Pretty standard price. I will continue to go there because it's close to my house and the threading is quite good. read more

Beyond bad. I've been to this place twice because its the cheapest around.. First time was okay, second time I had to have a serious talk with the lady. She "clipped" my eyebrows WAY to low AND argued with me when I asked her if I could rub my brows with alcohol (to remove the makeup) before she applied the powder. She listened to everything I said and gave me what I asked for and paid for. Make certain you have cash since that is all they accept. It is reasonably priced and clean.
