I asked for her to shape my eyebrows since it's been about a month and a half since I last got them done. They are incredibly uneven and she took a huge chunk out of the bottom of my eyebrow. I commented on it and she tried to play it off like it had always been there. I spend a good amount of time during my morning routine on my eyebrows so I know the shape and hairlines intimately. I came here with my dad last week. Its in a building where there are a few other stores/studios that offer other services. When you walk in, walk up the stairs and the place is on the left. They have it broken up into two rooms. One room is a waiting room, and the other room is where they do the threading. There was two ladies at the time, one behind the counter and one doing the threading. The place is pretty small and simple, nothing fancy. If you want to get a quick threading and you're local this place will meet at your needs. Its 12 bucks for the threading but I had a living social deal so it only cost me 6. Since this place is just down the street from my house I'll definitely be back! They were really friendly and there was no wait or anything. read more

Hands-down the nicest threading place I have found in the DC area. Most others are tucked away in little malls and complexes where parking is tough. This one feels like a little spa, which is a welcome change from some of the others - the first one I discovered was in a little dingy room in a sketchy strip mall. The ladies here do a great job- they create and maintain eyebrows with a perfect arch, thickness and length. The sanitize their hands before each client. And a welcome treat at the end is the rose water they use to soothe the skin after threading. I have never waited long here at all. I like this place because I tell them what I want and they do it. Not in a bossy way, but I know what I like. They are reasonably priced and quick. I go during lunch time so I'm in and out. I was a little sketched out when I went inside the building as it seemed a little run down. At first I missed the sign saying it was upstairs and had to go outside again to look for where it was. It looks like the buildings going under some renovations too. When I finally got there I didn't have to wait and it went pretty well. It was quick and painless and she did a great job. I've been going to Eyebrow Express every month for about 3 years. If you're more concerned about how your eyebrows look than how spa like the place is, then this is your place. I have naturally thick eyebrows so finding a place that doesn't want to make them thin and super shaped is hard to come by. The salon itself is barebones, could use a coat of paint, a couch that doesn't look like you just won a race and probably a bit of love in other places. If you're concerned about any of the above, this isn't your place. Me on the other hand, couldn't care less. It's clean and efficient. I've had at least 8 different people work on my eyebrows and they've all come out great. As with any beauty service, don't assume they know what you want, be specific when you sit down and they will follow what you ask of them. For $12 (cc or cash) plus tip (cash only) and getting in and out within 10 minutes, it's definitely a gem in the DC area. read more

I came in on a Tuesday around 2:30pm. It was empty so I was seen right away. I haven't had my eyebrows threaded or waxed in a while as I was trying to grow them out - I've been to multiple threading salons in DC who have left my eyebrows uneven. I told the stylist (I forgot her name) to keep them thick but slightly arched. She asked me which eyebrow I liked better, which no one has ever asked me before! She was gentle and quick. I went to this place as I needed my brows done badly, they take walk ins so I could fit it into my crazy schedule and it got great reviews. I have to say I'm shocked at all the 5 star reviews of this place. Someone called it one of the nicest in DC. Hardly! But I really don't care if it's a nice place or if it's in a back alley. I just want nice brows. Not sure who did my brows. She barely spoke to me. It was kind of awkward. That immediately made me question my decision to go there. Yes it was cheap, yes it was fast and yes it was painless. Like everyone says in their reviews. But the end result is what matters and my brows ended up uneven. I pointed it out and she agreed and 'fixed' it. I looked and it wasn't fixed but I really didn't want her doing anything more to them. So I left there uneven and with hardly an arch in my brow. Needless to say - I tweezed them myself to fix when I got home. Luckily not a complete botch job but I will never go back. I'd rather pay double for a nice job. This place is nice, prices are low, the service is speedy and when you tell them not too thin, they listen. My eyebrows have come out slightly uneven before. The business is located on the second floor of an unassuming building. Just go through the front door, walk up the stairs and enter through the second door on the left. I think only one woman works here, or at least I always go when she's working. You may have to wait in the waiting room but it doesn't get backed up, I've never had more than one person ahead of me in line. they've got a couch, tv and a few magazine for while you wait. The girl is efficient, friendly and listens to your requests. When she's done threading, she'll ask if you would like rose water... go for it, it smells great! read more

I have been going here for a little over a year now and Neelam is the best! She is very polite and does a fantastic threading job- plus she makes it less painful than other places/people I have been to. The only reason for 4 stars is that I have seen a few of the other women here (unsure of their names) and haven't had as great of an experience. Really great and quick service! I never have to wait. They are very nice, and I always feel well taken care of by the specialists here. I was able to bring up an illustration of the style of eyebrows I wanted, and she was able to shape them the way depicted. This was different than the first time I came and had them shaped (they were shaped nicely the first time, I just wanted something a little more my style the second time I came). The staff is always so nice and accommodating, really take care of you, and there's never a long wait. Unfortunately, I recently moved to DC and it became a bit inconvenient to venture out to Alexandria to visit (though I still did it anyways!). Then when looking online I found this new location had just opened, which is pretty close to my work, and I was ecstatic! I would really recommend anyone looking for eyebrow care to come here. I have been here 2 times and have come out very happy with my experience both times. When I get threaded, I get my eyebrows and upper lip done. The first time there were 3 or 4 people in front of me and only one lady working, but she was very sweet to everyone and worked quickly. (Only downside was since there is only paid, street parking, I had to add time to my meter..but not by much.) My second time, there was nobody waiting and I was in and out in 10 mins! This place is not very fancy, but it is clean and cute. And honestly all I care about is that I come out with nice eyebrows! An eyebrow shop doesn't need to be like a spa, anyway, right? It's in a weird building along Wilson Blvd where there's a visa processing company, a massage therapy place, and other random businesses. It's up some rickety stairs, and to the left. Holy f this place is awesome for threading. We were kind of tempted to turn around and walk away when we first got to the building that it was in, but decided to take a chance since we had the livingsocial voucher already. SO WORTH IT. I came in on a Thursday evening without an appointment, and I only had to wait 5 minutes.The woman who threaded my eyebrows did an excellent job and was extremely gentle.
