I usually go to the Arlington location, but it hasn't been open since pre-covid. I never get a straightforward answer when I ask if they'll be opening the Arlington location again, but for now one can visit the Alexandria salon. The salon is always fairly clean, and they use a different piece of plastic to over the seat used to do one's eyebrows after each person's session. value: current price for eyebrow threading is $12. There is no line to add a tip, so be sure to bring cash if you want to tip. Parking: both locations do not have a parking lot, so be prepared to pay for parking unless it is Sunday. I always ask for just a 'simple clean up' of my eyebrows meaning I don't want a new arch, thinner brows, etc. However, they seem to slightly make them thinner sometimes which is the reason for the 3 stars. I continue to return because I still prefer threading over waxed eyebrows and I cannot find a new place to try other than the women in the middle of Pentagon City Mall. read more

If you really want your eyebrows to stay a certain level of thickness if advise you keep stopping and checking or tell them exactly what you want taken out. I thought I was pretty clear and said please just clean the strays, I could feel her pulling more out and I kept telling her please keep it as thick as possible, just the strays. When i saw they were skinny, I said oh it's a bit skinner than I wanted, I just wanted it cleaned. Knowing I couldn't do anything at this point obviously. I wasn't angry at her, I wasn't rude, I just made the statement but she didn't even respond. Not one word. Just charged me and walked over to the next customer. I dunno. I don't ever write non 5star reviews but I'm pretty put off by this experience. read more

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUR YOUR EYEBROWS! DISGUSTING, NO PROPER SANITATION BETWEEN CUSTOMERS (same tools on the different customers... NASTY!). I came in today and requested that the lady keep my thick eyebrows intact, I specifically said NO shape change, JUST a cleanup, and to keep them as THICK as possible!! I literally had gotten my brows done a week and half ago and came just to get the stray hairs taken out. I knew something was wrong when she was getting hairs in between my eyebrows (there's a LINE in my eyebrows now... wtf?) and when she cut down my eyebrows like crazy with the scissors. She was chomping away like crazy, and when I looked up, I was in tears about to cry. I'm livid as to how badly she destroyed my eyebrows. See pics for referral. ***Also, this place doesn't practice proper levels of sanitation. Though they place a plastic cover down on their chairs per client, they don't cover or wipe down the handles (the part that everyone holds or grabs onto). Additionally, they use the SAME brush and scissors on everyone without washing in between!! Sorry, but that's kind of disgusting. Imagine getting someone's eyebrow makeup or lice in your brows / skin through this cross contamination. Ew. I wouldn't recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. I'm going to have to let my eyebrows grow out for another 6 months and hopefully find someone experienced by then. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded since basically entering this earth from my mother's womb. As with any threading business with rotating technicians, the services here vary depending on who does your eyebrows. I recommend that you go in and ask for want you want specifically (thin, thicker, clean up), and any problems you want corrected. This helps manage expectations. I've noticed often that customers are hesitant to communicate their dissatisfaction, but don't be!!! Check your eyebrows before you leave!!! You see a stray hair they missed? Tell them to get it! I nearly always do and nearly always want something more, and I've never had a problem getting it. So I would recommend this place simply for the fact that they don't rush you and take their time on giving you what you want. But here's the thing, you have to know what you want!!!! Look, another thing is upkeep. Y'all go and tweeze the hell out of your eyebrows and expect things to be all pretty because a lady uses a thread instead of a tweezer. NO. It's not magic. Let it grow, let it grow (*cue Frozen music*) so the technicians can shape better and have more to work with. If you come in with crappy eyebrows, they're only going to be able to do so much. They get busy during peak times (evenings on weekdays in my experience and weekend afternoons) and there's often a 20-30 minute wait since there are only two technicians working at a time. So if you're in a hurry don't go at 4:00 PM on a Friday. read more

Was able to pop in on a work day during my lunch and there was one person being serviced and I was still in and out. Definitely satisfied with my brows and the pricing. It's a pretty no frills place so don't expect any like lux decor but honestly its not needed. It's hard to find someone who does a perfect job on your eyebrows. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for ten years and have had some bad experiences and some awesome ones. I saw Diba and she did a great job. My left eyebrow is always thinner than my right eyebrow and when I leave the salon, it stands out more. She evened my eyebrows out and didn't make them too thin! Parking can get a little tricky, so I avoid peak hours. You can find plenty of free parking, as long as you are willing to walk a couple of blocks. FYI: This is a threading place. It is painful at first, but you get used to it the more you do it. I'm always satisfied with my brows. Some brow technicians are nicer than others, but all seem to do a great job. Absolutely horrible experience. One of the girls did my eyebrows and they came out uneven. I went back to get The eyebrow that was uneven redone and she made it so thin that not only did it remain uneven it looked pencil drawn in. Despite telling her I didn't want thin eyebrows when I first came in. She wouldn't admit they were uneven and thin now and never apologized. I have never been treated so badly at any eyebrow place, I visited this place because of the good reviews. Stay away from this place if you want to be treated with respect. If you're ever in Old Town and need a place to get your eyebrows done, definitely give this place a try! I've been here a couple of times during my lunch break and was seen immediately both times. The space is small, but clean and just large enough for what it's used for. Both times the jobs were quick, painless, and left my eyebrows looking AMAZING! They finish off the job with rose water (if you choose to), which not only leaves your brows nice and smooth, but also gives you a relaxing smell of roses as you walk away. My only complaint is the price of $12 before tip, but also not unheard of for this area, especially Old Town (I'm just a little spoiled by another place where I've paid $8 for a comparable job). And she over plucked the corner of one so now they are not even! Whatever you do, don't go on a Tuesday Afternoon. Whoever is working there does not know what she is doing. This place is okay but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. When I looked in the mirror it didn't look bad but when I got home I looked closer and as you can see with the pictures I posted the lines aren't clean and my hairs are scraggly. I've been looking for somewhere near my new home in Brandywine, MD and while this location is in Alexandria it is definitely worth the drive. I threaded my entire face which was 40.00- pain free and done to perfection. No conversation, but was still professional and pleasant. Note: the location is on the busy King street in Old town. I love this place! I usually go right after work if possible and the line usually starts up right after I get there, but I am in and out in about 20 tops. I haven't been able to keep track of the couple of ladies that do my eyebrows, so I usually go through my little spiel about how i'm trying to grow them in, so I don't want the ends tapered off and threaded up into my baby hairs, and not to bump my arch up too high. And you know what sets them apart from most other mall kiosk threading places? THEY LISTEN. I'm usually nervous getting up and seeing the end result, but it's like they read my mind. I get nice natural looking brows, and even though i'm a little sparse in spots because of growing them back in, everything is nice and neat, and I have a perfect guideline if I choose to fill them in a bit. My brows haven't looked nicer, and I keep getting compliments on them! If they keep this up I will brave NOVA traffic 10x over to keep coming back here.
