Ken was amazing! Got builder gel there for the first time and would def go back. I showed him a design I wanted for my bday and he executed it perfectly while under pressure bc I had also told him I was under a time crunch. read more

I booked an appointment for 11:30 for myself and a friend. We arrived early, checked in, chose our colors, and then waited. Our service didn't begin until 12:20, and at no point was the delay acknowledged--no apology, explanation, or gesture like a discount. While the nail care itself was thorough, the polish application felt rushed, and the results reflect that. Overall, I'd recommend trying your luck elsewhere. read more

Amazing staff, beautiful ambience, very soothing and relaxing. Quality was absolutely perfect. We did the pedicures with the stone massage and will definitely be coming back! read more

The staff is very friendly like most Vietnamese people I know. Sadly the service is not so good. The work was mediocre at best on me and my wife's first visit. We tried again a week later and it got worse. I asked for two manicures and they took care of my wife and totally ignored and skipped over me. The manicure my wife received had to be touched up on almost every finger. It was worse than a four year old doing the job. read more

I love this nail place. I moved to the area Jan 2025 and I haven't tried anywhere else because they're all very nice, do great nails and the prices are fair. I would recommend to anyone in the area and I'm glad to be a loyal customer! The salon is pretty too. read more

I went in with a gel set that was done at another salon, which I was not happy with. My goal was for Luxe to fix the mess, which they did. Overall, I was happy with the way my nails looked. However, my fingers realllly hurt. I noticed the skin under my nails were cut and sanded. I still have skin stuck to some of my nails, and I'm scared to separate them because I know it will create more cuts... read more

Better service and staff. It's a theme here apparently of lack of friendly people and showing the customer their appreciated.

I've been coming to Luxe nail salon regularly for about six months now. I've tried a ton of nail salons in Old Town but Luxe is consistently amazing. They stay true to their appointment time, which is a huge plus. I've received services from both Ken and Helen. The space isn't very large and everyone keeps to themselves, so it's a great space to finish that podcast! I can only vouch for their basic mani/pedi and gel manicure. They do an thorough job all the time! Parking can be a little hit or miss but I totally recommend them! read more

Decided to get a Mani- Pedi last second and they were able to squeeze me in. I've never been to the spot before. It's right by the CVS on a busy street but there's parking around. Dora took care of me. I think most people well understand when I say the pedicure was so neat! I was having a bit of trouble deciding which color and Dora did a few swatches on my toenails to help me be sure. Thank the lort she did bc what I thought in my head did not look right on my toes lol She did the same with my finger nails and I went with a nice sheer pearly shade. She was so patient with me. Again with the manicure, very very neat and clean that's definitely something I appreciate when going into a nail salon read more

Its a no frills kind of place that doesn't have all the fan fair but still has everything you need. I got a gel pedicure and the lady who did it was diligent and really took her time. Thankfully I wasnt in a rush and actually appreciated her pace. Far too often nail salon visits feel like an assembly line. That wasnt the case here and Id be happy to go back. read more

$36 for a gel mani! Able to fit me in as a walk in near the end of the day. Great selection of colors & nails look amazing. No massage, but they did a cuticle trip & oil, so overall a great deal read more

I am so grateful to have found Luxe, and specifically Dara. I came to Dara three months ago with short, brittle, weak nails. Over this time, she's carefully and expertly helped me grow and strengthen my natural nails. I don't even recognize them today!! Dara and her team provide top-quality, professional service every time. They're friendly, kind, fun, and nonjudgmental. The prices are very fair, too. I look forward to each visit and can't recommend Luxe/Dara highly enough!! read more

I came in with no appointment and got a dip manicure. I started out with one nail tech and then Ken took over, which was great. He shaped and dipped my nails nicely. They have a nice color selection. I've been to Luxe a few times and every time I end up with gorgeous nails and a fantastic experience. My mom loves it too, and will only come here to get her nails done. The whole team is so talented and artistic. I love seeing what all the other customers are getting because there's so much variety, all beautiful. Today I got acrylic with magnetic polish, in a shape I hadn't tried before - and they're divine! 10/10 favorite nail salon read more

I randomly stopped in for a dip overlay because I'm still trying to find a "salon home"...walked in, the salon was clean and they were able to take me immediately. The techs were polite, did a nice job, and I was pleased with the outcome...initially. I went to the salon about a week and a half ago (2/12 to be exact) and one of my nails is already chipped and the paint is coming off. The reason I went to get an overlay is so it would last, at least 2 weeks. Paying $57 is way too much for it not to last. Maybe it was a fluke, but don't think I'll be returning. The search continues... *sigh* read more

I rarely complain about a service but yesterday was my first time visiting Luxe as I am new to NoVA and had a gel manicure. Normally my gel nails are hard as knives and never, ever chip even after a months wear. I am attaching a photo of two of my nails from this afternoon, 24 hours later. They are weak and chipped and breaking and, no, I have not been performing any manual labor. In my opinion, this is a disgrace. Don't waste your time and money. read more

Quality was "fair" and with so many salons around fair is not good enough. My nails chipped within days, I needed to use polish remover in spots on skin, etc. read more

I went for a mani-pedi today and am a repeat customer. The technician today cut me twice -once on each big toe. She attempted to stop the small amount of blood by dipping and re-dipping a brush into a blue liquid that is probably used for all customers. Worrisome the health issue's with that ! This was not a single use jar. She also dropped and spilled the polish I brought. The pedicure went on for an hour and 15 minutes. She clearly was new and was not supervised at all. I understand we all need to learn new skills. I asked for a different technician to complete the remainder of my service. However they need to keep an eye on what is happening with their customers. read more

I was looking for a good nail salon in the old town area and decided to try Luxe Nails after reading the great reviews. The stylist who was assigned to me was running late and forgot to add a top coat to my toe nails, which I didn't even mention, because... It happens. And then she did my manicure...I just wanted a plain old manicure with a light nail polish. She did a pretty bad job shaping my nails and I had to ask her to do them again. I've got age-related vertical ridges on my nails. She didn't buff my nails at all and so when she applied the nail polish there were horrible streaks down my nails. She kept adding thicker and thicker coats to try to cover them up. I finally told her to remove it and left without any nail polish. She apologized and said she had another client waiting for her! Don't think I'll be returning read more

I've been happy with Luxe until my most recent visit, when I was seated next to someone's lunch leftovers, and on a generally untidy seat that needed a good wipe down. I pushed the pile of go containers further away as I got my pedicure (they started off directly next to me -!) but none of the several staff members thought to come throw it out. Gross. read more

I needed a last minute manicure and stopped into Luxe as a first timer. I had Jenny. She was nice, but a little sloppy with the cuticles and wasn't really careful with the application. She did cut my thumb cuticle a little too much and didn't acknowledge it. There is some bubbling on two of my nails and the gel felt tacky afterwards, like it wasn't fully dry. I don't know if I would recommend this place. read more

Lee is fantastic! She took her sweet time with my pedicure, getting all of my cuticles and making sure my toes were perfect. Same for my gel manicure. She didn't love how my thumbs turned out, so instead of just sending me out the door, she redid them without any prompting from me. I don't even know what was wrong with them. I have thin eyebrows that just don't grow much. It's HARD to find someone who can do them with a proper arch, considering they don't have a lot to work with. She waxed them beautifully without pain. She's won my loyalty! Note: street parking - don't park in the CVS lot next door or they'll tow you. read more

I have been getting my nails done here for a year now and I must say, they are very professional and do a great job. I am very, very picky and anytime I am not satisfied with my nails (which rarely happens) they are happy to fix it at no charge. My favorite nail techs are Anne and Ti, but Dara is also very good. The owner Kelly and her husband are also very nice and professional. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone who is looking for a good reliable place to get their nails done. read more
