Every time I come here I have a nail break, every single time, and I get acrylic so they shouldn't break, especially after a week of getting them done,so you get one star and I'll never go back. And I had to pay $10 for her to fix her bad job and they blamed my nail because "it's my real nail" then why am I getting acrylic because that is supposed to keep them from breaking so easy. As a patron of nearly 10yrs, I'm extremely disappointed to leave this review but I must. This is my last and final time supporting this nail shop. The staff changes like the wind. The prices increase faster than inflation. The customer service is truly nonexistent. The work quality is beyond subpar. Every time before I go I think to myself "you've been going here for years maybe they're just going through a tough spell". NO! My cousin (from out of town) and I went today and I was so embarrassed. The two technicians doing our pedicures had their own private conversation the entire duration...extremely unprofessional and slowed them down. We got the same pedicure and polish yet her price differed from mine (overcharged her by $15). My gel fill took forever and the lady tried to take someone else in between servicing me. After 10mins, I had to ask her who was doing my fill and she then said she was and to wait 5 more minutes. So, I waited a total of 15mins between services for the same person with no apologies for my inconvenience. My nails were rushed and awfully done. There is nothing self care about this place rather, take your money, perform poorly, and tolerate offensive customer service while paying more than you did just two weeks prior. I was referred to Tracy Nails and I was pleasantly pleased. I had an appointment with Jasmine. She was ready for me when I got there. She was great. She took pride in her work and was very nice. If There is something you do not like just tell her she has no problem fixing it. I enjoyed the massage chair; I needed it after coming to the nail salon after leaving the gym. The only thing that's keeping me from a five-star is that initially I wanted to get hombre nails, but Jasmine didn't know how to do that. I was a walk in for a polish change. I asked for a matte finish and what I got was a clump of clay on my nails. I wasted $32 on a poor excuse of a professional nail salon. I've patronized Tracy Nails for over 15 years. Got a gel manicure exactly 1 week ago on 4/21/23. I noticed during the week that the polish was lifting from the edges and now unevenly colored. I noticed this less a few days after but couldn't make it in to show them until 4/28/23. When I arrived the husband owner, Peter, was at the front desk and I proceed to explain to him the situation. I showed him my nails and told him that the polish is lifting from the edges. He immediately went into defense mode and told me that it's a week later and my nails grew out. Then he said the lotion or hair dye changed the tint of the polish and every time I ask him to look at my nails and do they look ok to him he said they look fine an the nail grow out. In the midst of our conversation he takes 2 calls then comes back to me to tell me again it's due to lotion. It's hair dye. He interrupted me so much so that I had to ask him to let me speak. He goes on to say it's been a week and the nail grow out. I told him regardless a gel manicure lasts 3 or more weeks and shouldn't look this way after just a few days. He told me it's past 3 days of which I told him that I could not make it before now. He angrily says "well what do you want me to do it's a week and your nail grow out". The polish is peeling from all angles of my nail and I told him that my nail does not grow from the sides, just in length. Well he stuck by his story and told me about hair dye or lotion or something. Rather than have someone redo the polish he insisted my nails were the problem and not the polish. At that point I asked when his wife would return of which he said tomorrow. I'd had enough and requested my personal nail box. He said Lee will return tomorrow. I'd had enough and have no plans to ever return. The customer service was the worst and instead of the owner, Peter, listening he found every excuse rather than accept that the polish was bad. I will say, the last time my daughter and I were here, was approximately 4 years ago and they were pretty good then. When we walked in we noticed that Tracy Nails remodeled their salon so my daughter greeted everyone and said, "Hello, oh, you remodeled, it looks nice". They looked at her/us as if we ransacked the place and graffitied their walls with fingernail polish from their shop! The lady said, "What do you need done?" I tell her a basic manicure and she says, "so you want a gel manicure?" Nooooo, I just want a basic manicure. She says in an upset manner, "pick out your color for your toes too". Noooooo, I just want a basic manicure". Now she's making me feel as if I am wasting her time. The only reason I stayed was because my daughter really wanted her nails done, and I sadly assumed the people here could perform a basic manicure. I was wrong. 2. My daughter went from getting a gel manicure, to an acrylic manicure, to settling with a basic manicure because the people here were trying to give her everything she did not want. (She really just wanted a gel manicure). 3. I was sitting next to my daughter when she was getting her "basic manicure". The lady was using the electronic type file which was hurting her nails because they were already thin. She told her it hurt, the lady did not care and said in an upset manner, "well your nail is uneven so I have to file them!" I'm thinking, maybe you should use a regular nail file. Does she stop??? Nope! So my daughter let's her know it hurts AGAIN! She gets upset and finally stops! What??? Huh??? Customer service??? I'm confused now! Well, I just listed three problems here and in my "book of life's lessons", three strikes and you're out. Today I had an 11:30am appt for a manicure, I arrived on time(11:19am) told them what I was there for and had a seat. There were two other ladies ahead of me, when these two ladies were being helped I expected that the next available technician would be able to help me, at 11:55 am two young ladies came in asking for pedicures. The next available technician finished his customer and then procedeed to wait on the two young ladies who came in well after me, when I spoke up he said 'wait five minutes'. I was about to walk out when Miss Lee asked me to sit at her station. Why bother making appts and then treat the walk-ins as if they are more important? I've been loyal customer at this location for well over a decade and unfortunately I had an awful experience today. I walked in at approximately 1pm and inquired as to whether anyone was available for to perform a pedicure. The owner, an Asian male, simply replied, "not today." I found it odd that I was never provided a wait time or even asked if I would like to make an upcoming appointment. They were clearly not short staffed at all. Immediately while standing there, a white couple walked in to inquire about a gel manicure and they were politely told to have a seat and someone would take care of them shortly. This was horrible customer service and I never plan on returning. The owner no longer finds customer service as a necessity for conducting business and I honestly believe that they can care less about their black patrons. Well I typically go to Tracy's for a pedicure. Which they DO a great job at, but please do not go for a soak off. They soaked my fingers for a few minutes and then took an acrylic tip and kept trying to pop my acrylic nails off even though they were not coming off. They just kept trying to pop them off even after seeing they weren't coming off. I had to let them know that that was literally hurting me even though I kept moving my hand every time they tried to pop off the nails I thought they would have caught the hint. But my nails after leaving are really tender, red and they HURT. Got a manicure and two of my fingers were bleeding. When asked about getting fixed or refunded I was told that the three day limit had passed even though I called the following morning, and was told to call back because the manager wasn't in. I came before work I was greeted and immediately whisked to the pedicure chair let's just say it started to go down hill despite my request the nail tech did what ever she wanted or could do and charged me for services they where not able to provide. The nail tech got gel polish on my feet as well as foot and ignored it to put oil on my feet I asked where you going to remove the polish then she did as if you could not see bright green polish on my brownskin. The nail tech applied to many coats of gel polish to my fingers which completely took away my shape when I stated that I'm losing my shape due to the 3 coats of gel and 1 coat of top coat she said do you want me to file it. There is certifications all on the board so I felt very confident when I first walked in I paid 132 for a job that looks like a50 dollar pedi mani. When I stated the obvious the nail tech got rough with my hands and begun to yank and I did not know why as I stated to her manager. I'm not able to speak up I was not rude or disrespectful she just couldn't deliver and instead of speaking up she did what she could I tipped 20 dollars as well so I'm sure that was definitely a learning experience for her. Please do no charge for services you can not do. My stones are falling off my nails I feel as if once management heard or saw me picking designs and crystals if they knew that tech could not execute why let her. I will not return because I spoke on my nails it went down hill from there. Gel is already thick it hardens under the lamp why she needed 2 applications of white and 3 of green with 1 top coat is beyond me. Sorry for any typos. I love this place. I've come twice as walk-ins, my first time I saw Ivy and the second time, Lee. Ivy was very good, very quiet which is fine with me, because I'm pretty quiet. Lol. I paid $53 for a full gel set, with coffin shape and an eyebrow wax. Today I went for a fill in and saw Lee. She is extremely diligent. She cleaned up my nails with a brush and polish remover after each step. She perfected my coffin shaped nails. Today I got a gel fill in, chrome nails and an eyebrow was for $43. It's a little pricy, but honestly I don't mind paying it. It's 5 mins from my house, and I only had to wait less than 10 minutes at 3:30 pm as a walk in on a rainy "observed" holiday lol read more

Overall, this is a pretty good nail salon. I've had Lee, Jessica and I think Peter do my nails. Lee is my favorite thus far so I try to make appointments with her. The salon is pretty clean, there is a decent nail color selection and the technicians are friendly-ish. Yes, they all speak Vietnamese to each other but that's been the standard in every Vietnamese-owned salon I've been to. I'm sure they talk about my feet every time I get a pedicure. It is a bit pricier compared to other salons in the area but I'd rather pay a little bit more and be a happy customer than pay less and be a dissatisfied customer. However, they do nickel and dime you a bit so be careful or you could end up paying a lot (e.g., $5 extra for different shape, etc.) I always seem to spend more than I anticipate so perhaps I should stop being fancy, heh. The parking lot is very small and space is limited so you may have to park on the side streets, so I wouldn't go late a night if you can avoid it. read more

I used to have Tim do my nails. I came in here on the Wednesday before Labor Day. I am not sure who did my pedicure (an older lady) but once I told her I only wanted a regular pedicure, it took all of about 20 minutes. I should have stopped there. I went to Lee to get my eyelashes done. I should have known something was odd b/c she didn't wipe the mascara off from my day. I am just going to say, my lashes did not last past the weekend!!! I typically get my lashes done but this place seemed more reasonable priced! Well I got EXACTLY 1.5 days for my 30.00. First time coming to this shop and I will definitely be back. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I love how they do not allow customers to touch the gel/nail polish wall. Instead, they bring you an array of colors on a painted nail ring for you to choose from and then they go get the color for you. I had heard Jessica is the best nail tech there however...I had Tammy and she did an AMAZING JOB!!! From my pedi to giving me the exact nail shape I wanted...even to my designs! Very well done. It may be pricey for some depending on what you want. It cost me a little over $70 to get a full pedicure, a take off, a new full gel set, and designs.
