High-quality nail salon in my neighborhood that I stumbled upon when my cousin was visiting and we wanted to get mani pedis on the fly. The staff was kind enough to quickly accommodate our unscheduled request. I especially liked Lilly, who was an expert, gentle hand, and super efficient. Will return when mom visits. read more

Words cannot describe how angry I am right now! I made an appointment with Mark (Lam) almost two weeks ago for 8/31/24 @ 10am, he selected the time. I live in D.C. and got up early to make sure I was on time for my appointment because I'm respectful of other people's time. I arrived at 9:40a.m. By 10:00a.m. Mark still hadn't arrived. I messaged him at 10:10a.m. He finally responded some time later and asked could we push my appointment to 11:10a.m. I was livid! I have errands to run all day because my son starts school on Tuesday. I planned our other appointments around this appointment as it was the first stop of the day. My entire day is RUINED now. If he was going to be late, he should have notified me beforehand. This is completely unacceptable! I will never be back!!! read more

I was in desperate need of getting my nails my done and decided to get them done at De Luxe. The interior is very clean and service was top notch. I highly recommend Hung (I don't remember his American name) as he was so detailed and my nails looked amazing. The service that I had was dip powder w/ gel top coat in a tan shade. Everything from the shape, the cleaning, & the overall look of my nails were great. I'm not going to lie to you but the service was definitely more pricey than other salons I've been to. It cost me $60 + tip for a service that would've been about $50ish. Just keep that in mind when you decide to visit here. I do want to mention that they didn't honor the 10% discount and when I showed it to the owner she claimed it wasn't for her salon when clearly it wasn't. Obviously, I made note of that and her dishonesty is the reason I won't return. It's not even about the discount but more so at the fact that she lied. I'd probably give Hung 5 stars as he was great at his craft but the business as a whole 3 stars. read more

Came here on a cold Saturday afternoon and the place was practically empty. I decided to try out SNS for the first time, and also got a pedicure. The woman seated me in a pedicure chair, took my jacket, offered me tea/coffee/water and showed me how to turn on the massage chair. These people really make you feel right at home. The water was nice and warm and the woman doing my feet was very gentle but also very thorough. The SNS manicure turned out exactly how I had hoped and she even taught me about the difference in polish types and maintenance, etc. Total came to $80 so not too expensive. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend. Tip: check in on yelp for a free glass of wine! read more

Relaxing place! It was so quiet and calm inside the salon. There was acoustic music playing, but not a lot of loud conversations, phones ringing or chit chat. My nail tech was Hannah, and I had the basic mani-pedi. She took her time, and I was super pleased by her attention to detail. If I lived in the area, I'd go to De Luxe Nails regularly and ask for Hannah. read more

This is a nice relaxed nail salon! Sometimes there may be a bit of a wait so I would recommend making an appointment. Na is great, she is very attentive and good with fine details. If you want a good design book her! I had an issue with one of my nails and I went back she took care of it no problem! read more

Walked in during the evening for a pedi. Lily (sorry I misspelled her name) took care of me... she was super detailed and took her time. She was even patient with me when I decided to change my polish color (after my first toe was done ). She then asked if I wanted a mani, which I was hesitant to get since they were closing soon. When she kindly said she had time, I decided to get a gel mani. Again, she took care of my nails and we chatted for a bit. I highly recommend this spot! I don't really know how to start off this review. I did not have a problem with the gentleman doing my nails he did it fantastic job. He checked his work multiple times to make sure it was to his and my satisfaction. He asked me if there was anything that he could do to make some look how I wanted to and I said no because they were perfect and then I asked to get a pedicure and that things took a turn. After the gentleman finished doing my nails, he told me to have a seat in this one woman's pedicure chair. I told her that I would like a cleanup to my toes and to my feet so basically a pedicure with no color. As she had gotten into the pedicure, it was time to remove the calluses, and my foot was on one of those sturdy foot rails, and she had started removing the calluses from the bottom of my heel when she didn't have a tight grip on my foot and my foot fell And my toes curled and she accidentally took off the top of my toe didn't receive a discount was told that she was sorry asked me if it hurt multiple times and then continued trying to make it feel better by touching it and trying to put a Band-Aid over itnever had this happened to me before thoughts concerns? Mark is always on time and always gives me exactly what I'm asking for! I fully recommend him for any shape! My nails always last 4-6 weeks with no lifting and i do hair! My hands are wet all the time! I never have to worry about losing a nail before my fill in he's amazing!! read more

First off: the vibe of this place is amazing! Lovely open concept salon with an airy feel, lots of plants, a fountain, AND seasonal decorations that are consistently kept up to date! You will be served complimentary champagne (or water, tea, etc.) as you relax into your comfortable chair with soothing music playing in the background as your talented technician works to make your nail dreams come true. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! I went to this nail salon based on the reviews. I went inside and got a full set manicure I don't like long nails got them short. Paid $70 which is crazy to me. My toenails just the polish got them for $20 at first they charged me $85, on my receipt charged me $99.48. I called them to ask about this they couldn't give me a straight answer. #crooks please people do not go there. Also, the gentleman that did my nails kept pulling my cuticles and making my nails bleed! The least they could had done was lowered the price! Never again read more

Update : 29 Dec. i got my nails done 6 days ago and yet they look a week old & BUSTED. I am not heavy handed, i cook carefully when chopping & work an office job. Yet somehow on day 5 my nails started chilling & even broke. Pretty sure the foundation may have been off & another coat of top coat would've helped. See pictures attached :\ ------ I am really picky about the shape, thickness and color of my nails especially since I'm in the military & have to follow a few regulations. Michelle was super patient with me & made sure my nails looked great!! The shop was really quiet when i walked in and filled with a few ladies at 6pm. On a Saturday i can imagine this place being busting with ppl. My nails turned out gorgeous, only one of them needing tips. read more

Ive visited Joy both occasions for my manicure and pedicure needs. The salon isn't huge but cozy and warm feeling inside. They offer you white or red wine, water, or hot tea. Gel manicure lasts at least 4 weeks so I know they do a quality job. They have lot of color choices and brand choices (opi etc...) They don't have reserved parking but there's usually plenty of street parking around the salon. read more

Definitely not impressed by the pedicure...it was half...you get the point. The job was very rushed, my cuticles were not cleaned as they should have been, the hot towel was just a wipe down on my legs, it was subpar to say the least. She didn't take the time to scrub my feet, I had to come home and do it myself. This was my first and last time here, and at the last minute the price for a pedicure changed from $35 to $40. I'll gladly take my money elsewhere. #worstexperience read more

Copying this review here since this is their (Divine Nail Spa's) second location and the one I now frequent the most Linda is my all time favorite nail tech! I always get SNS and whether I need a natural or fun look she always does a phenomenal job! I can come in with an idea, a picture or even let her have full creative reign and she NEVER disappoints. She takes great care of her customers and her attention to detail and knowledge is like no other! Not to mention she is always warm and inviting. I'm shocked at my experience because there are so many reviews. When I first arrived they ladies had no idea about my appointment. They told us to go to the place across the street. They then suddenly remembered our appointment and started on our toes. My lady was very nice but she didn't file, cut or remove my cuticles whatsoever. She barely scrubbed my feet and then did the worst paint job I've ever had. I genuinely could have done better blindfolded. On top of all of this, I paid $55, never going again. read more

Today was my third visit to the De Luxe Nails Lounge. I was previously going to a nail spa not too far from me for the past couple months, but was looking for a change. I must say I was pleasantly surprised on my very first visit here. It's a nice, well kept venue and it's located in a nice area not too far from Old Town Alexandria. No matter where I go, I usually always get a gel mani. The pictures attached are my nails -- coffin shape, gel fill-in -- done by Michelle. I HIGHLY recommend her. Today was my first time having her and I wish I had gone to her sooner! She was extremely attentive with my nails but didn't over do it by over filing or anything. In the past I've had a couple of bad experiences with my nails being filed to far in to achieve this coffin shape. Sometimes to the point where my skin is basically being filed and it can be both painful and damaging to the skin around your nails! So this is something that I always pay close attention to. With that being said, everything with Michelle was super painless and breezy! I will definitely be going to her specifically from here on out. read more

I should have written a review over a year and a half ago, but I didn't want to come off rude or ruin a business reputation. I feel as minorities, if we don't speak up, they will continue to disrespect and be rude to us while we spend our money in their nail shops. I was originally going to Top Coat Nails until Katie got pregnant and was no longer doing acrylic nails so she sent me over to this nail shop and suggested Michelle. Once again, they all do a good job at first until they get comfortable. I'm very particular about how my nails look because I want them to last for at least 3 weeks. I can say that I'm very particular and serious about my nails. I want them to look a certain way and last for 3 weeks until my next visit. I'm always kind and professional because I want others to treat me the same. I had to point out errors to Michelle on different occasions and once again her ego was hurt and she was RUDE! Don't give this nail shop your money! Nail techs should be warm, welcoming, and professional at all times. Also, be able to accept constructive criticism. Nail techs need to do nails according to the way the customer likes it, not the other way around. I feel minorities aren't treated with the same respect and kindness that others receive across the board at these nail shops. If I were you, I would think twice before spending money here. Find another nail salon that will be kind, treat you with respect and take constructive criticism. Frankly, I'm tired of spending my money at these nail shops. I hope this helps! read more

Inga and Star no longer work at this location. I was in the area to get my hair done and decided to stop in as a walk in. Atonga (I think that's her name??) did my pedicure and manicure and was just as wonderful and a perfectionist. Super sweet and personable. My nails and toes have never looked so good! Her nail station is the last row, the seat on the right (across from the bathroom for reference) just because I'm not exactly sure how to write or pronounce her name, if you want to book with her I'm sure the person who answers the phone will know based on where she sits! read more

I have been going to Na, my nail tech, for years. First off, she is very professional and respects my time! That's big for me. I don't "wait" well! She always does a great job and creates beautiful designs for me. She does my brows too and they're always on point! If you are looking for your 'forever" nail shop, I would suggest you give De Luxe Nails Lounge a try! Also parking is another plus. Pretty easy to find parking! read more

I will jump right into it, this salon is wonderful. My nail tech, Vivian, at Top Coat Nails down the street was away on vacation for a month so I decided to come here because I haven't been yet and heard great things. It was so nice inside, I loved the decor and the ambiance. The best part about both of these nails salons is that when my nail tech is away I know I have so many other fabulous nail techs that can do my nails perfectly. I always hear, I don't know what to do my nail tech is out! Well not me, because I have options :) After seeing numerous people post about Michelle, I decided to make an appointment with her because Katie was booked in the morning. Side note: Katie is also fabulous. Anyways, Michelle was so great! She knew exactly what I meant when I said make my nails more "coffiny" a word I have apparently made up. I love the shape and the color. So I will continue to frequent both salons and their wonderful nails techs. They have wine too just saying. read more

I'm new(ish) to the NoVa area and have had some not so great experiences with nail salons and nail technicians. After lots of trial and error I stumbled upon this gem!!! And David, OMG...he was so awesome!!! I'm VERY particular when it comes to my nails and toes...and David met the mark!!! I didn't have to ask him to do ANYTHING, he was very meticulous and thoroughly trimmed and filed every nail!!! He was gentile and accommodating, polite and considerate but most of all professional and great at his job!!! I've found my nail salon and an amazing technician!!! read more

New to the area and based on the reviews decided to give this place a try also because it's walkable distance. First time it was great so i came back. Second time i stopped by the nail tech did a poor job, it looked like a toddler painted my nails also during my turn she stopped doing my nails and tended to another customer who wanted a wax. I waited for 20 minutes then she rushed. I wanted to give them one more chance. Third time, I got some skin taken off by my cuticles due to filing aggressively ..after the entire experience was painful because it stung so bad. I never speak up so i decided to speak up kindly and ask for a repaint on a nail because It did not have enough polish on it. I have never left a nail review but figured after three chances its deserved. I got gel manicure on my real nails. I gave them a 25% tip all 3xs because I believe in tipping but I will not be coming back my experience should not be painful. The ladies were nice but the quality is not worth paying if it looks like I did them myself at home. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting this salon while on a business trip last week. I'm super picky about my nails and what salons I go to so I was very nervous to try somewhere new with only having read the online reviews. The salon was great! The manager was super friendly and accommodating considering I was a walk-in on a busy Friday afternoon, my nail tech was so nice and talented, and the salon was spotless! I'm conflicted. I've been to this shop twice, and both times Michelle has done my nails. I make my appointments beforehand, but the first time I came into the shop I had to wait over half an hour before my turn. The second time I waited over an hour. Waiting doesn't bother me as much as not giving me a heads up about a wait time. And I'm never greeted/welcomed when I walk into the shop. She does good work and my fill ins look nice once she's done, but the gel nail polish did chip in less than a week my first time. Because of that, I'm so-so about this shop. read more

(No, tattoos aren't as easy) After my appointment I was ANNOYING. For the first week I think I messaged Ash every day asking questions about "is this normal?" or "does this look ok?". She was always extremely kind and patient. She answered all my questions and even encouraged me to ask more. Ash is truly the best. They've simply moved on and created this wonderful salon. We weren't previous clients, but their reputation definitely preceded them. On a Saturday around 4:00 PM, my wife and I decided on a spur-of-the-moment manicure and pedicure date. Anyone who regularly visits nail salons knows that's usually a recipe for disappointment. Either the salon is fully booked, the wait is outrageous, or you end up with the technician nobody else wanted. Thankfully, luck was on our side. I went online and found only two appointment slots remaining. We selected our services, submitted the request, and within five minutes our appointment was confirmed. Shortly afterward, we received a phone call confirming everything and letting us know we could even arrive a little earlier if we'd like. Our appointment was scheduled for 5:15 PM. N & J Nails is located in Alexandria, just a few minutes from Potomac Yard and on the same block as Founding Farmers. Depending on traffic, the 9-mile drive from our home can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour. Thankfully, we made it in just under 30 minutes. Parking was easy. There is both street parking and garage parking available. We chose street parking and paid $4 for two hours, but learned that garage parking can be validated. When we arrived, we were greeted by the same gentleman who had called to confirm our appointment. It wasn't the typical "you're the last appointment of the day, let's get this over with" greeting. It felt like they had genuinely been expecting us and were happy we were there. We were offered beverages and snacks, then settled into the massage chairs for our pedicures. My wife worked with Tina while I had Linda. After reviewing the menu and confirming our selections, they made a few recommendations and got started. My wife chose a spa manicure and spa pedicure with gel polish and builder gel to help strengthen and grow out her natural nails. My service included callus removal, nail trimming and shaping, cuticle care, orange slices, a sea salt and mint mud foot mask, relaxing massage treatments, oil lotion massage, and hot towels. The total before tip was approximately $250 for both of us. Before Linda began, I warned her that I'm extremely ticklish. I usually end up asking technicians to skip the foot massage because it's never enjoyable. Not this time. For the first time ever, I was actually able to enjoy a foot massage. Linda clearly knew exactly what she was doing. There were a couple brief moments during the callus removal that tickled a little, but compared to every other pedicure I've received, it was minimal. The scrub, water temperature, calf massage, foot massage, and overall technique were absolutely perfect. The finished pedicure was flawless. Smooth feet. Perfectly trimmed and shaped nails. No pain. No bleeding. No rushing. What impressed me most was her attention to detail. Even after I would have been completely satisfied, she continued checking, refining, and perfecting her work. She clearly takes pride in what she does. The manicure was equally impressive. Every nail and cuticle received the same level of care and precision. Nothing felt rushed. Everything looked clean, polished, and professional. The hand massage was fantastic as well. I actually started writing this review on Saturday but intentionally waited until Monday to finish it because I wanted to see how everything held up. Two days later? Still perfect. My wife wrote her own review specifically for Tina, but she was equally impressed. Both Tina and Linda were exceptional. Throughout the appointment we shared laughs, had great conversation, and by the end it felt less like visiting a business and more like spending time with people who genuinely care about their clients. Even Ben stopped by toward the end and joined the conversation. That's what makes N & J Nails special. The services were excellent. The salon was spotless. Throughout our visit, staff continuously cleaned and maintained the space. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxing. Most importantly, every person there genuinely seemed to care about delivering the best experience possible. For my manicure, the technician used a portable UV lamp that made my nails burn. It was really uncomfortable, and he didn't seem concerned when I mentioned it. I got a French tip, and you could clearly see my nail beds through the polish. When I told him I wasn't happy with how it looked, he just said it was my natural nail instead of trying to fix it. The most disappointing part was the quality. I tipped, left, and in less than 24 hours my thumbnail had already chipped. That has never happened to me before not even when I do my own nails at home. I ended up going to a nail salon in South Carolina, and they immediately told me the nails weren't done well and that they wouldn't last. They also added a better nude base color so you couldn't see my nail beds anymore, which made a huge difference. That showed me that my nails could have been done correctly at Old Town Nail & Spa, but they simply weren't. They also told me more chipping was likely to happen. I paid a lot of money because I wanted my nails to look nice for a wedding that weekend, and instead I got poor-quality nails and disappointing customer service. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

My absolute favorite nail place in the area. I wear acrylic nails on for years so I know how decent looking nails should look and the process should be done correctly. Unfortunately, not all Nail tech stay at one salon forever, so when you lost your nail girl and everyone else TRIED to but not nearly as good as your nail girl was. It's time to move on and find that good nail salon. Thanks to yelp, I found my place. Look at that picture, can you find anywhere that can do baby boomer/pink and white ombre nails like this place? This seems like a new thing and I can't get over how cool the process was and the result was very natural and nicely shaped. If I ever take my acrylics off, I'll def try SNS at this place. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was calm, elegant, clean, bright, and welcoming -- the kind of place that instantly helps you unwind. Service - Thy was so attentive and detail-oriented from start to finish. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and checked in throughout to make sure I was happy with the shape, color, and finish. Her technique is incredibly gentle yet precise -- you can tell she truly cares about both the artistry and the comfort of her clients. Quality - The quality of her work is outstanding. My nails came out perfectly shaped, smooth, and glossy, and the polish application was flawless with clean edges. The products they use feel high-end and long-lasting, which really adds to the overall experience.
