My wife and I love all types of Asian food and was excited to try this new place in Carson. We ordered the Spicy Pork Bowl, Korean Chicken Bowl, and some dumplings. The Spicy Pork bowl was was ok, it could use a little more flavor and maybe a little more of the sauce. The Korean Chicken bowl was pretty good. The chicken had really good flavor and I wish there was a little more of the sauce to go with it. The fried dumplings were good and had the perfect amount of crunch on the outside, along with a nice soft inside. The young man working as the cashier was really nice, respectful, and made me feel welcomed. This place is pretty new, so I'm pretty sure they'll just get better and better. Is definitely recommend you give them a try because I enjoyed it. read more

Seoul Bap is a breath of fresh air in Carson! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. My bf and I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi Bowl, the regular Bulgogi Bowl, and the Korean Fried Chicken in Half Sweet & Spicy and Half Soy Garlic. When I first got my bowl I couldn't help but admire how beautiful it looked. It was vey colorful and vibrant and it smelled amazing! The bulgogi was perfectly cooked--like it was fresh off a KBBQ grill which I loved. The bowl comes with sides of pickled onion, crisp seasoned broccoli, and my absolute favorite side that IMO really elevated the dish--grilled kimchi! Even tho I was full I couldn't help but continue eating because each bite was so different depending on what side you ate it with. The Korean Fried Chicken was also a banger, unlike other places I've tried they had a thinner batter which meant you got more of the delicious chicken taste and they top it with green onion strips and pumpkin seeds which again gave an amazing texture as you ate the chicken. The last thing I need to mention is their green cilantro sauce! It came with the bowl but holy cow it was so good we ended up putting it on everything! Definitely hope they bottle it soon so I can take it home *fingers crossed* Needless to say the whole experience was a 10/10 and we can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu! read more

Quite literally, perfection. I've reviewed quite a few places, and out of all of them, this fits in the category of "out of this world." Anything you get here is amazing, I've almost tried it all. Seoul Bap popped up on my yelp. I saw that it opened 3 weeks ago so I decided to check it out. Food: 5/5 I tried the spicy pork and the flavor were authentic and on point. There aren't too many authentic Korean Rice Bowls around and i was glad they nailed it. Very yummy. Spicy and savory. Service: 5/5 I spoke to the cashier who was very friendly and answered all my questions. No complaints from me. Ambience: 5/5 It's more of a casual dining type place. Almost a "quick stop" type feel. Got the Beef Bulgogi, purple rice, Japchae and some Tteokbokki. I've tried multiple places that are Korean food based so I came here with a faint idea of what I was getting myself into, once you've tried one mediocre restaurant that sells Korean food you might as well have tried them all. It all pretty much tastes the same, not much variation, no unique flairs added to any of it. This place, however, I'm not sure what it was, maybe they cook things with extra love but the food here was more flavorful than other places I've tried that sell similar cuisine. I was blown away a bit, like a fish out of water. I'm not too big of a fan of Japchae, I'll admit that, but I decided to give it another try and I'm so glad I did because this is the ONLY place I seem to like it from. The Beef Bulgogi was very tender and the Tteokbokki was just the way I like it, a perfect amount of chewy, not too firm like other places I've tried, but also not the same elasticity as a piece of chewing gum. In OC its safe to say that there is no shortage of Korean restaurants of different variety - and I have tried many. I come to the Carson area often and was honestly surprised to see a Korean kimbap/comfort food spot. My wife placed a pick-up order of the meat kimbap ( like a sushi roll for people who don't like fish) and the Hotteok (a thin pancake stuufed with cinnamon and walnuts) for the ride home. The rice and meat in the kimbap were cooked to perfection, and overall well seasoned and balanced with the added. vegetables. This sounds basic but often I find some/many places offer kimbap that is either not fresh, or overcooked and in need of some sort of dipping sauce to fully enjoy. Do not overlook the Hotteok which to me seems like a Korean version of baklava, but with it own unique profile. I'm not a dessert person but my wife has a sweet tooth and it was the perfect level of natural sweetness and its portion size is perfect for sharing. I always notice that a good eating spot, whether its an expensive restaurant or a casual dining place in a strip mall, does the small things right - it shows attention to detail. In a sea of " sameness" I hope this place receives the support that it deserves and we forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more

Kimbabp was really good and the ingredients to rice ratio was very nice. One thing I'd like to point out it the rice. Seoul Bap has really good food--I'm a big fan of their Spicy Pork and Beef Bulgogi. Both are flavorful and satisfying. The Pork Belly, however, felt a bit plain in comparison. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of a small hiccup I had when I called in a lunch order. I asked if they could make the Spicy Pork crispy--something I figured could be done quickly on a griddle--but was told they couldn't because all their food is pre-made. Honestly, I was a little surprised. It tastes fresh and delicious, so I didn't expect it to be pre-made! I haven't been back since that call, but I do hope to return soon. If they could crisp up the Spicy Pork a bit, I think their bowls would go from great to amazing. Just my opinion, of course! read more

The food here was amazing - great quality overall and worth the price. I'd say it's about average - if not a little cheaper than a lot of other Korean / bibimbap / kimbap restaurants. The person at the counter was absolutely kind and incredibly helpful - I always appreciate a friendly person working the counter regardless of how big/small a business is. The staff was amazing and very helpful there they quickly put together a table for 10 as a walk-in and we really appreciated that. We enjoyed the food. Our favorite was the chow mein. We also had the salt and pepper squid, the orange chicken, the beef soup, the combo dumplings, the ginger, fish, the walnut shrimp, and lastly, the banana fritter ice cream dessert that they have. To us the orange chicken was a bit too sweet, but everything else was to satisfaction. We did enjoy the dessert and it is such a nice clean atmosphere. After a lil hesitation, I decided to come in around 7:30pm for a quick dinner to-go. Lots of restaurants, IMO, tend to decline in quality and taste towards the end of the day... especially if it's 30 min before closing. Well, I'm glad to report that Seoul Bap is NOT one of those restaurants. The menu is simple yet it was still so hard for me to decide... everything looked and sounded delicious. I ended up with the beef bulgogi bowl which came with kimchi, broccoli and pickled veggies. It also came with some sort of green sauce. Personally, the bowl was already good without it but the sauce kicked it up a notch. I inhaled the whole bowl!! It was the perfect amount of food and next time, if I'm really hungry, I'll opt for one of their lunch boxes. Love that we don't have to drive outside of Carson to enjoy some Korean comfort food. When I found Seoul Bap on Yelp, I was thrilled because I love Korean food and especially Korean barbecue. They have your favorite Korean BBQ meats (beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, pork belly, spicy chicken) in a beautifully garnished and well balanced bowl. The bowls come with your choice of meat (or tofu), steamed broccoli, kimchi, & pickled onion/radish/carrot/jalapeño, over steamed white rice. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi which I really enjoyed- such a nice sweet and spicy kick. For more heat, I added the creamy green sauce they added to my order. I also tried the half soy garlic and half sweet & spicy boneless Korean fried chicken which was SO delish. The flavors were so good. I ordered my meal through Yelp for pick up. My meal was ready exactly on time and staff were very friendly and welcoming during the pick up. Interior is small and simple but has a good amount of seating for dining in. I've lived in Carson my whole life and never expected to be close to good Korean food, but I can finally say it is here! I went to Seoul Bap for the first time today and when I walked in to pick up the order, a lady sitting at a table with two others immediately got up and asked how she can help me. As someone that values good service, that spoke volumes to me that she would get up mid conversation for a customer. I talked to her and she was very nice and shook my hand! Now for the food. My wife and I ordered the bulgogi bowl, spicy pork bowl, and the soy garlic chicken. It was VERY affordable at about $36 for all that and VERY tasteful. It's a full on bowl and had great flavors. I would definitely go back and get the spicy pork bowl and the chicken again. I don't know many Korean restaurants with such affordable fried chicken and such a good serving size! Came here for lunch with a friend. The restaurant itself is quite small but service is fine and the wait wasn't too bad. The layout and furniture remind me of a boba shop. The food came out piping hot and the taste was very good. The fried chicken was decent, the tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice were spicy sour but it was good.
