I asked for it to be fixed or replaced over and over, to deaf ears. Their employees are rude. Someone broke the glass to the front door of their office 3 months ago and it's still not fixed. It's in the worse possible location. Trying to get in or out between 2pm and 6pm is a nightmare. Their prices are higher than most competitors in the area. I'm extremely disappointed in the ongoing rate manipulation and lack of transparency at Extra Space…read moreStorage. When we moved into our unit in January 2024, we were paying $70.60. Just four months later, our rate was increased to $124.60. Then, in January 2025, we received yet another massive increase to $249.20--more than triple our original rate within a single year. I expressed my concerns in a review at the time, and the manager, Kristina, reached out and offered a different unit on a higher floor for $89.60. While the move was inconvenient, we accepted in good faith and I removed my negative review, believing the issue had been fairly addressed. Now, just three months later in April, our rate has already been raised again--this time to $162.60. I called on 4/14 and was told I'd hear back within 48 hours. I never received a follow-up. When I called again on 4/18, I was told the best available rate was $136.60. This is an unacceptable business practice. If a rate increase was already anticipated, it should have been disclosed at the time we agreed to move units. Instead, we were led to believe we'd secured a more stable rate, only to be hit with another steep increase almost immediately. It feels predatory and deeply lacking in transparency. We're now stuck deciding whether to move yet again in the near future--something that is stressful, inconvenient, and frankly unfair to be dealing with so soon after our last move. I would strongly caution others to think twice before storing anything here, unless you're prepared for frequent, unannounced rate hikes and minimal communication.

Here it goes... Let's start with the fact that I had called SCSS on New Years Eve at approximately 12:30 pm, and I had come to discover that the office had closed about 30 minutes prior for the holiday. They offered to stay and wait for me to show me around. I had declined, but the offer itself was very generous! I had told them I would be back that week... Later that week, we had stopped by to take a tour of the place. Very, very, very, very clean! It was like it was a brand new facility. I had known about this facility for some time and remember when it had opened what seems like a decade ago and it still looks like it had just opened. The security features of the facility are top notch for its price level! I loved how each unit has fire sprinklers... you may say "Well what if your stuff gets wet?" I would rather it get wet than get burned, at least you can still tell what it was! The facility is well laid out, and they even make sure that plastic mats are laid down in each unit to minimize moisture! That's huge! In my opinion, the most important aspect of a storage unit is the management. I have yet to meet his wife, but Sonny is on another level of service. He is so nice, super accommodating, easy to talk to, and he runs a tight ship! When we signed for the storage unit, it was raining A LOT and was gusty, yet Sonny jumped into his cart and immediately cleaned out our unit and dried it off and left towels for us so that we could dry anything we needed. He really made us feel right at home from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about this man. I have opted to bring in a check for all of my payments rather than opting for automatic payments so that I can catch up with Sonny and the rest of his staff.
