Didn't know this place existed until I was invited to a birthday party. Unfortunately I forgot to add a picture of my food due to devouring my plate. Server was very nice and kind it sucks that his management is unhelpful & disrespectful, tacos tasted like oil with no flavor couldn't even finish one taco, everything else was good but couldn't get it removed from tab even though it was disgusting and manager wants to make jokes about taking it home after we said it was disgusting. Hooray!!! Evans FINALLY has an amazing Mexican restaurant that feels like you just left Mexico when you walk out. So authentic. So good. My husband and I have been there every week for the last several months. I have tried many things bursting with flavors and so different from your typical Mexican chain restaurants around here. The BEST Chili Poblanos. Chimichangas are amazing. The shrimp tacos are OFF the chain!! (They are made special with owners' mother's recipe as well as the amazing paster meat!!) Street tacos are a A++! We don't ever miss out on the chorizo cheese dip to start. I never eat the refried beans at other places. Senor Mezcal even has yummy rice AND beans. Poor service, waited over 30 minutes to even order drinks, food was awful, music was awful, all around absolute dog shit

We went for dinner. Food and drinks were good, but nothing outstanding. We waited for almost 20 min before someone came to take our drink order. They were very busy, and once they noticed that we had been overlooked, our waitress Michelle was fantastic and super attentive. They were celebrating an anniversary, so several patrons were certainly taking advantage of the drink specials. Some very loud and boisterous customers made it very annoying. But, I did!!! This place is fantastic! If you are looking for exceptional flavor, try the Alambre Pastor. If you want it spicy, substitute the green peppers for jalapeños. Going to be really honest. We were soooo excited to try this place because of the great reviews but unfortunately left disappointed. The service we received was horrible, super slow and we were some of the only tables in the restaurant so there was no excuse for slow service. It's a little pricier than our normal place (Poblanos) which would be totally fine if we would've enjoyed the food. I ordered the shrimp tacos bc the waiter recommended them. They had shrimp, cheese, bacon, and a mango topping. The topping came on the side and didn't look great/fresh so I didn't try it, but the tacos were super greasy and SALTY! I could barely eat them. The cheese dip was good but again, salty! I will say that my drink (Miami Vice) was really good. Between the tacos and the bad service, we were wishing we had just gone to zaxbys! I know I'm the only bad review on here so maybe we just went on an unlucky day. Willing to give it another try! read more
