This is my go-to for a quick bite of mexican food. The food is always delicious when I come here. I've only had one problem with service and that was when I wanted to place a to go order. I was given a certain look by two of the floor employees. I asked if they are about to close since I was given ugly looks. They had 45 minutes before closing. I walked out without ordering because I don't want anyone fixing my food when they clearly wanted to go home lol! This didn't stop me from coming back! I learned not to go so close to closing. This is our favorite Mexican in the area! Lupe and Fave and their kids offer the best customer service! They definitely make you know that you are family! So I've eaten the food plenty of times but have been too lazy apparently to write a review. My bad. Needless to say I actually love the food here and there is a level of authenticity that many Mexican restaurants do not have. Truly, I judge all Mexican restaurants on their tacos because you can get different meats so it's similar to a sampling. So I've tried the birria, asada, chorizo, pastor, and have not been disappointed. The margaritas are on point as well. Very good. If your looking for amazing and delicious authentic Mexican tacos then you need to check La Hacienda out! They have the best tacos in the CSRA! I love that they have several sauces/chiles to accompany them and at every spicy level (mild to super hot). Their margaritas are amazing! Who doesn't love tacos and margaritas! I also love that they are family run establishment which makes you feel very welcomed! Their staff is amazing! Garbage service, me and my girlfriend ordered 55 dollars worth of food expecting a great meal. When it arrived the jalapeno poppers that I paid 9 dollars for was just a cup of sliced jalapenos. And the 40 dollars I spent on 2 of their famous beef wet burritos(which was supposed to have cheese,lettuce,tomatos,etc.) was literally child size burritos with nothing but beef in it. It doesnt look like much from the outside, and the surrounding area, buried behind a gas station in a strip mall, doesnt help the curb appeal... however, the inside is much larger and nicer than you would think. The staff was very kind, playful and humorous at times! It definitely lightens the mood up and makes you feel comfortable, being happy while you eat is a great experience. I was very appreciative of the gentleman who seated us. I flipped my sunglasses down and was prepared to wait for the sun shining through a crack in the window shade to go away... the gentleman noticed and immediately climbed up on a chair and fixed the shades to where it covered the sun from my face! That IS great costomer service. The food was good, the chips and salsa were good...I dont have a single complaint! We will definitely be going back as it is in a very convenient location to our home. This used to be one of our go to Mexican restaurants because it used to be close to where we lived. I was in the area recently and decided to stop in. I was the only table in the restaurant, I was eating dinner a bit early. The guy asked what I wanted to drink, I asked for a tea and a cheese dip. He brought the cheese dip, which was cooler than Luke warm, and I assumed he was going to get my drink but he went and sat at a table and talked to the other server. She came over with salsa and chips and walked away. Then came back a few minutes later and apologized for my drink, asked what I wanted and brought it shortly after. Then took my order, it didn't take but a few minutes to come out. It was alright, the food has changed since the last time I visited the restaurant. The cheese dip was already cold by the time the food arrived. When I finished, I asked the lady for a to go tea. She took my payment and the guy brought back my card, never brought my tea. I had to ask her again and she apologized. I was still the only table in the restaurant. I won't be going back, it is a shame, this place used to be really good just a year or two ago. read more

I was a server for 5 years and worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years. This is LITERALLY the WORST service I have ever had or seen. Chips ran out. Server walked by and saw and kept walking. We assumed he was going to get more but instead went and talked to some other servers in a circle. My husband flagged him down. We asked for my chips and a refill on a drink that had been out for some time. Later, I got up and went to the bar to get a refill for my husband whose drink had run out. Our server was behind the bar talking to a girl whom I assume was his girlfriend. Toward the end of our meal, my husband gave the remainder of this drink to his friend whose drink was empty again. *These are the only refills the whole mean, it is not as if we were going through drinks right and left.* My son spilled his drink prior to the food arriving. We got the cup up fast so only about 1/2-1/3 of the drink spilled. The waiter saw it happen. He stood back behind the bar. My husband asked my napkins to clean it up. He pointed to a pile of them and did not offer to assist. I was walking ice pieces out the door and throwing them into the parking lot. I went outside and drained the water that was in his cheese dip. When the food came they did not have my order and did not know what it was. When it did come, it was not good. My son also spit out his corndog after 1 bite and said it was "yucky". No one ever came to check on our food. We asked for our bill when we were almost finished. It never came. I went to the bar to ask the server for the bill-he said it is ready whenever you want it. I told him we wanted it. He still did not bring it and we had to go up to the bar where he was talking to his friend in order to get the bill. Then when my husband got out his card to pay 3 associates just stared at him like they had never taken payment before. It was truly CRAZY what bad service we received. I am probably forgetting some things. I will say that the man who got our drink order was friendly and fast & when the waiter took our order he wrote it down and answered a question that was asked. I will also mention that we had eaten there once before and the service was not like this. However, it was bad enough during this visit that I will NEVER return and would recommend that you take your business elsewhere. With as many Mexican restaurants are there are in Augusta I would not take the chance that you end up with this guy. We were one of three tables in the restaurant so the poor service wasn't due to lack of time but instead was attributed to lack of caring. read more
