2/19/26: This was my first visit. The restaurant is Veteran owned and operated. I went with my neighbor for lunch. We sat at the bar, and Coltyn took care of us. I had a Michelada, which was very good, and my neighbor had a beer. Both drinks were served in a mason jar, and looked great with a Tajín rim. Coltyn brought us chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crunchy, and the salsa had a medium spicy kick to it. I had Carne Asada Fries, and my neighbor had a Guac Lettuce Taco and a Bean and Cheese tostada. Our food was prepared fresh, and came out hot! The Carne Asada fries is shareable. I wasn't able to finish my plate. The restaurant was pretty clean, with nice decor, and a few TV's throughout. The bar area was nice, there were plenty of tables available, and there were a couple of tables just outside the restaurant. Coltyn was a great host, and we'll definitely be back. There was plenty of parking outside.

Brisket enchiladas, rice, house margarita.

The service here was stellar. Two young men took a huge interest in us enjoying our meal. Chips and salsa are on point (we are salsa snobs). The music was too loud (where is it NOT too loud these days?) and you just seat yourself... decently clean, and food was pretty good. Hubby got the birria tacos, and I got the sour cream brisket enchiladas. They were fine. Not super, but good! Not much seasoning- just good meat inside a nicely cooked meal. Very filling. Rice was great, and I loved the black refried beans as well. Price was right, and we enjoyed it.

Small and cute place to have some good mexican food! I had the sopes and I had to try at least a carne asada taco to judge it well, and yup... we have been here now 4 times and we have made a decision to make it our spot for taco tuesday. I recommend their mango margaritas with tajin, they taste fresh and they are not too strong which is actually enjoyable. The service is fast and friendly, but they can definitely use an extra person on their busy days, but overall they are awesome!

It was our last day in Texas and I was determined to find some outstanding Tex-Mex before our flight out of Love Field later that evening. After my usual thorough and methodical research, we decided upon Senaida's Mexican Kitchen in Rowlett. And after studying their menu, I knew exactly what I was going to order! Senaida's is situated in a strip mall with large, peculiar graphics on their window from the neighboring foot specialist, but don't let that deter you. Once inside, the restaurant is beautiful and clean with vibrant Tex-Mex decor that pays homage to their local town of Rowlett. Loved the draft beer service here. Comes out ice cold in a huge, chilled Mason jar. I ordered the "Enchiladas Potosinas" and it was excellent! Six small red handmade tortillas filled with queso fresco topped with more queso fresco and an artful drizzle of Crema Mexicana. Served with rice, lettuce & tomato and a pickled jalapeno. Such a unique and delicious dish that I truly enjoyed. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it in SoCal. My wife had the brisket enchiladas which looked and tasted great. My son had the birria ramen and loved it. They even had chopsticks for him. Service here is so genuine and authentic. Very nice people, we enjoyed visiting with them. We definitely plan to return the next time we're in Central Texas.

Came here for the first time for lunch today. Service was decent. The restaurant is really small with maybe 15 tables and a bar. Chips seem to be homemade. The queso and salsa were really good so we thought the food would be as well. My husband got the chicken quesadilla and said it was lacking serious flavor. I got the street tacos on corn tortillas. The tortillas were thick and stuck together so I couldn't peel them apart to only eat one.l per taco. The meat was subpar when it came to flavor and there were many chewy bits. Come to think of it... the tacos can be described as chewy... from the meat to the tortillas. Strange. My mom liked her nachos, but then again, how can you mess nachos up? Probably won't be back to try other menu options as two of three meals were just bland and weird. Prices are decent. Just wish the food was a lot better.

Molcajete Beef Fajitas Senaida's is the best Mexican restaurant in Rowlett. The others don't even come close. The Molcajete bowl is their signature dish and if you've never had it, you're missing out on life entirely. My next favorites are the beef and shrimp fajitas. They are nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. The rice and charro beans that come with are great. Big portions too! You definitely get your money's worth! To top things off, they make an outstanding margarita on the rocks for $5.00. Places like the Smoky Rose, Gloria's, Christina's, Meso Maya, Javier's all make a $12.00 nasty Sour- canned mix of some kind, horrible margarita. Do yourself a favor and get your saddle in here! Trust me. You won't be disappointed.

Woohoo! We decided to try this new slice of heaven to our town last night for a quick date and was pleasantly surprised! Mexican food is my hubby's favorite and they hit his expectations on all avenues...margaritas, super hot salsa, delicious fajitas with thick cuts of meat, and great homemade (tasted that way) tortilla chips! Our waitress was fantastic too! She could keep up with my husband's jokes. Can't wait to try more items next time. read more

This place opened a few months ago near my house. The food was good, not bad at all. I have seen other yelpers complain about how greasy their chips were, but honestly, I'm pretty sure that's how they make them nice and crispy, the salsa that came along with it was delicious as well. I ordered some pastor tacos and their tostadas de tinga, which were both very yummy. They have a full bar set up, and the staff was VERY friendly and attentive.The prices are decent. read more

Yummy! Parking get a bit tricky at rush hour because so many people are trying to get to Dalrock. Definitely not the restaurant's fault but more like crazy drivers. The atmosphere is authentic and great selection of music. The beans and rice flavors have that Mexican flair. Unlike some Tex-Mex restaurants. The hot sauce and margaritas are also some of my favorite in the area. read more

I've been here a few times. Each time I've had something different. Their queso is a must!! Chicken sour cream enchiladas had a great flavor. I'm not a big black bean person so I was disappointed in the beans but that's not going to stop me from going back! Great prices too! read more

This is a cute fast little place to stop in and have Mexican food . Verde enchiladas was good Pina loca ok. Bar girl needs to step up her game but still friendly and trying. Chips good . Needs new sauce, not everyone likes the red sauce that all white people eat. Lol not hating... read more

We were so excited to try this place. So for my husbands bday, this is what he chose tonight. Thank God the margaritas were good because that is where our good pretty much ended. The chips would have been really good had they not been so greasy. The salsa was fresh and ok, but mainly just tomatoes. The queso was kind of tasty, but it was so salty! So then our meals came. My husbands food, Enchiladas Rio Verde, was rather unidentifiable and kind of just mushy stuff on flat orange crispy corn tortillas about 2.5 inches. I think there were 6 with a pile of carrots, cabbage, and jalapeños in the middle of the plate. They were supposed to have chorizo, potatoes, and beans on them. & Topped with lettuce, tomato sauce, and queso fresco. We never found chorizo. He said they were edible... I had two Tacos Callejeros with Pastor (fried pork). They come with cilantro, onion, and lime. You choose corn or flour tortillas. We ate one of them but the smell of the oil or grease the meat was cooked in was overwhelming and honestly stunk. The tortilla had oil/grease sitting on top of it after I dumped the pork off of the other one. Our daughter had the kids quesadilla adding fajita chicken. Her side was French fries. Once again, there was so much oil that is was literally sitting on the paper they put in the baskets. However, the French fries that are deep fried were not greasy at all. They were actually pretty awesome if they hadn't had so much salt on them! The margaritas were very good! And apparently the Sprite our daughter had was fine along with my iced tea. My husband asked for a glass of water 3 times, and well, I gave him one when we got home. We asked to speak to the mgr and she came out of the kitchen very happy to begin with. As we explained that we were disappointed because of the amounts of oil and salt, she got mad. She proceeded to proclaim that all Mexican food is cooked that way. I was still nice at this point and asked her to smell the rank smell of oil coming from my plate. She told me that was the smell of pork! LOL. I explained that I too cook from scratch and I have never smelled it like that! I also told her that I know that Mexican food is NOT over seasoned especially with salt! My SIL is Mexican, and she never leaves oil and salt puddles on plates! She was not happy at this point and She told us she was sorry and that all she could do was take 10% off of our bill and she would take care of us next time. NEXT TIME????? Really???? She just became dismissive, arguing with a customer, and wants me to come back and eat more bad food??? My husband told her at this point that we had already paid the bill and were trying to let her know. It would have been great had our waitress not grabbed up the payment so fast before we had a chance to ask to speak to the mgr. but then again, she came and went so fast after delivering the food that we couldn't ask! I mean the water obviously wasn't coming! So we asked another waitress to please get the mgr. We spoke to another family sitting next to us and their food wasn't greasy. Funny cuz the little boy had the quesadilla too! If you haven't guessed, we won't be going back. So disappointed! More so in the mgrs dismissive attitude than even in the food. Food can be fixed! read more

Food was actually pretty good. My pork carnitas was spicy but tasty. Very small serving like actually six dice sized chunks. Now it gets worse. The two girls waitressing were clueless. My daughter's dinner came out first. After ten minutes, and her being halfway done, the waitress tells her that wasn't her order. No problem as they gave her brisket instead of beef. That was an upgrade and she enjoyed her taco plate. After she was almost finished, and she is a slow eater, the other three meals come out. We asked for corn tortillas but flour was given. I asked if I could have corn and sure enough when I am almost done with dinner, the smart mouth waitress throws down another fool pack and say "here". Oh, I forgot that after ordering, and waiting for our meal, the same clueless waitress said "yea....we don't have no more red sauce".....we got the green which was good but not what we wanted. Here is a suggestion, give a little more pork and find some waitresses who care enough about customer service to learn the menu and at least act like they care about the customer. read more

I was so excited to try this place. It is right down the street and their menu seemed authentic. The space is so small and there is no real waiting area at the front, but the service at the bar was good. They have good prices and good drinks, but the menu is very limited. There really isn't too much more to say other than, it's just okay and a little disappointing. read more

We have visited several times now and have yet to be disappointed. Great Margaritas, along with some of the best tasting Menudo and Lingua tacos. Service always friendly and attentive from the time you walk in the door. If you like it more spicy ask them to bring you some of their special hot sauce. read more

We're new to the area & I have to say that we are so happy to have found this place! The first time we ordered take out and we were so impressed that for the next visit, we dined in. Shrimp tacos are amazing! During the dine-in, we noticed a cute bar that I think would be great to stop in for margaritas, chips & salsa. Service was fantastic. Senaida's is such a sweet surprise! I was very hesitant to come here because I hadn't heard anything about it yet. My husband made the decision that we were going to try it, and I'm SO glad he did. First off the service is fantastic. The chips are the best I've ever had. So fresh, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly fried. I ordered the Tostados de Tinga, and they were unbelievably tasty. The order was huge for the price, and I was sad that I could finish them all. It was more than a generous serving. My husband got the beef fijitas, and kept commenting about how fresh they seemed. He thoroughly enjoyed them. I had an overwhelming urge to share with my friends how great the place was. I want this place to stick!!! I've now been to this restaurant 4 times within the last 2 weeks. The food is awesome authentic mexican cuisine and the staff is attentive and friendly! My mother-in-law is extremely picky when it comes to food and has twice requested breakfast tacos from here. We live in Rowlett, are excited when new restaurants come in. Went in last night on Cinco de Mayo. Meh. The menu is limited, that's ok, sometimes that means things are perfected. Chicken enchiladas w beans and rice was ok. Nothing to write home about, plates are an ok size- I don't eat much, but if you do- you'll be hungry. We were disappointed. read more

Ate here for the first time last night and it was by far the best authentic Mexican food I've had in a long time! Chips and salsa are on point, tortillas are amazing, and the Sopes were excellent. The happy hour 2.50 margaritas were superb, as well. Everyone is very friendly. The menu is small but if I were to guess I would say everything on it is probably delicious. It will be a weekly meal for my family! read more

Awesome! We had brunch (Migas & Chilaquiles Verdes) and it was delicious! I had a mimosa and my husband had a Rusa; again both delicious because they used fresh fruit! Marianna & Sandra were very friendly! This is our new brunch spot! We'll be back to try the other menu items as well. read more

Sandra, Liz and Andy were absolutely amazing. Their service is top notch and they pay attention to details!! I have a food allergy and they completely helped me thru the menu and gave me many suggestions. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE. They took 30 to 40 to make our food and My wife found a piece of plastic in her food It was the size of a plum the chef told the waitress to tell us it was a onion and they were trying to make me pay for garbage in our food. We know the difference between a onion and plastic read more

We are on vacation and looking for good Mexican food. We were unsure walking in here because it didn't look like much from the outside. This was some of the best Mexican food I have had! Normally I don't like chicken, but the chicken had an excellent flavor. The tacos were not only delicious, but super cute! Excellent salsa. Great service...We want to eat here again before our vacation is over with! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The place was noticeably dirty, with trash on the floor, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. On top of that, I noticed one of the cooks peeking out from the back door near the kitchen area. It felt unprofessional and made me uncomfortable, especially given that it was in a food preparation space. Overall, the environment did not feel clean or well-managed. These tacos were absolutely incredible! There tacos didn't disappoint me. It has nice quality and filled with great stuff. The tortillas were warm and homemade, the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the toppings were fresh and vibrant.
